The comment made about the shelter dogs being more interested in where/who peed where has a term in our household when on a walk. It’s called “checking the pMail”, my dog sniffs around collecting scents and leaving scents just like reading and sending emails. We stop each time on a walk to smell the same spots to see who has been by the house or around the block and leave a scent for the next dog not unlike a written message in our human world. So if I use the word “walk” or spell it out before I’m ready to leave the dog goes crazy with excitement so we use the phrase “going to check the pMail” to tell others we are getting ready to leave the house. It works for us, plus I read somewhere that dogs can tell the size and gender of each dog from the scent left behind.

They love the wide open fields, and for the first time, they are seeing other dogs having fun.

Have you noticed how big miss V is getting! She is quite confident in her surroundings & enjoys it all. Miss Red just loves Aunty Sam. Too adorable to see her with you. Like Miss V being carried by Uncle Luke. Priceless ❤️

Absolutely my thoughts as well and you said it so much better.

In a way they have. They got rid of all their negative behaviors(for the most part) and are now soaring to new heights,just like sweet shadow. Like Luke has said, he believed in them and with that trust was gained. You are correct, DDFT is heaven on earth. ❤️🐶

Yes Susan, Chance is an American Johnson Bulldog and in another life a cruiser and a bruiser. Now he's a good boy.

I believe Luke said Chance had been used as a bait dog in his previous life, I think his stories would be horrific, it’s nothing short of miraculous what can be done to bring these dogs back from the brink.

Isn't it humbling how they can still forgive and learn to love and trust a human ever again.
