The worst of the storm hit overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, meaning travel wasn't heavily impacted. However, some road closures were still in place Wednesday morning.
The Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security issued a partial evacuation of part of Bozrah due to an "incident" at the town's Fitchville Pond dam.

i had to work this morning at 5am and it was crazy out, was very wild to see how things are so flooded right now. the road by the Norwich bowling alley was incredibly flooded also, definitely not safe to pass through

Poor management systems. I live near here, thank god i live on a hill. Wonder how Groton Submarine Base is doing its around 10 miles or so down river, maybe more not much.

You would THINK the State of Connecticut would take better care of New London County considering all of the important things that are there for the National Government. But it’s actually one of the least cared for areas in our state. Many low income families, many run down towns and cities. It’s a shame that we don’t have more PRIDE in our State, other than the WEALTHY AREAS! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤡
