Haha yeah I'm not sure why they did that instead of a gasket, it's sort of a pain to work on but at least nothing is too expensive if you break something!
Yes there is! You can drop the subframe and reseal it while the car is up on jack stands. It’s a lot more tedious in my opinion, but it’s doable. There should be a couple forums or videos about it online (: Good luck!
