Intending to look for the parents of an ancestor in Richard's family, James suggests the immediate family ought to be cleaned up first. On further analysis, we remove a few sources that don't fit our subject, which cleans up the timeline.

Those land records (since eliminated as not Richard's Dorcas) were under Perry, her MAIDEN name. All the records I've seen in which a wife relinquishes her dower interest are under her MARRIED name with no reference to a MAIDEN name. Thanks for reminding us of all the work yet to do!

Consider the War of 1812 for that area of NY State. That north/south route thru NY…lands thru this area were granted to Revolutionary soldiers as payment. Just a thought. Enjoying your presentations. Thank you
