Good point guys, if 1-2 resellers set the price of a boot, everyone else can attempt to sell theirs at the price as well (doesn’t mean people will pay). But it is enough to impact the boot market unfortunately! Great episode guys!

Even before watching the video: Yes they are. They are like cancer. Those boots are performance wear which nobody besides the pitch really cares. So just leaf us alone. We want to play in those boots and after they break, maybe rebuy them but not for a 40% price hike on ebay.
We talk about this in the episode. The difference between a reseller that can be and usually is positive, and a scalper, exactly what you describe, who are the worst!
Another good video/discussion guys. Great point that there's a difference between scalpers and resellers and it's unfortunate scalpers hurt the image of good resellers. In terms of remakes, what boot are you most surprised hasn't received a 1:1 (at least in the upper) remake? For me it's the '98 R9 Mercurial (not counting the little known reissue of it in 2001 that lacked the slight foldover tongue piece).

Could the “boot community” create its own platform for reselling. Because if resellers are overstated, practice is untenable. That’s not counting all the amateurs posting on a million for sale places online: Mercari Poshmark eBay sideline swap, a million more
It's actually been tried before by a couple of people but it never takes off. Unless resellers and buyers both embrace it then unfortunately it doesn't work.
