If holding down the buttons is not working for you, MAKE SURE YOU’RE ON THE ODOMETER SCREEN of the trip menu. A lot of these tutorials gloss over this fact, or don’t highlight how important it is. It will not work if you are in any if the other trip screens (speed, eco, etc). You MUST be on the ODOMETER screen.
Hey Jane Goodall thanks for watching my video and for the comment. Greatly appreciate the feedback, this may help a lot of people, thanks again enjoy the great car.

Thanks. It worked on 2016 c300. I do want to mention that I pressed all three buttons simultaneously and it didn’t work. Then, I pressed and held the call and end call button, and then pressed the ok button, it worked!
You're welcome and enjoy the car! Glad you were able to save some time and money doing your own service, personally I love changing my own oil and filters followed by being able to reset my own service indicator like in this video.

Hey BillHrpr thanks for watching my video and leaving a comment. Please keep in mind this is a service reset, it is important to perform your oil change in accordance with the recommended oil for your car (found under maintenance in owners manual ) also details in the engine bay there will be a sticker above the grill area indicating what oil you need such as 5-30 that needs a 221.50 spec. These specs vary, please share an update, thanks.
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. This is the service reminder procedure, since you are working on your own car it is best to follow your owners manual regrading what services you should perform, thanks a bunch!

Hey Osvanis Jesus thanks for watching my video. Glad I could help reset your service indicator on your Mercedes-Benz C Class W205, enjoy the beautiful car.
Hi Valdet Gashi , thanks for watching my video. Let me make this simple if you simply reset the service indicator there will be no problems with your car, just for simply resetting it. There will be a problem if you do not actually service your car per manufactures recommendation. The car does not know whether you actually performed that service so resetting it does not affect its driveability but your ability to keep track of recommended service points based on mileage and date.
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. Your ambient or outside temperature can be found in the multifunction display. Also if you go to the setting ‘permanent display’ you can choose outside temperature to be displayed. Please share an update.
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. I personally do the reset after I perform the service. Thanks again and enjoy the car!
Bro... Can I ask? If like example of we did not do a service on time. Like we already reach the mileage reaching point. Does it will affect our system for like example the engine gonna shut down itself or it cannot start the engine. Just asking...
Hey Syahrul Naim thanks for watching my video. In my opinion you should always follow your factory recommendations for service intervals in accordance with your owners manual. The point is you can service your own car as long as you follow recommendations.
@@WheelsTips So in your opinion we should service by following the instrument panel that display like example another 1,000 km b to service or we can service anytime we want? Can we exceed the mileage before service the car? For like example you should service for 25,000 km Mileage and we're service like 27,000 km and we're already exceed like 2000 km. Does it affect our system? Just asking. My Mercedes modal is Mercedes C200 2017
In my opinion it is always best to follow recommended manufactures guidelines. If it says 1,000 km till service B I would take it exactly like that I would plan my service within the next 1000 km.
Hey julian torres thanks for watching my video. To my knowledge it is not possible without recoding the instrument cluster. This requires a dealer level tool to recode the instrument cluster. If you find a different solution please share, thanks a lot.

I followed the steps and was able to clear Service 01, but not I get the Service B overdue by 29000 miles (my car has almost 50K miles) and will not let me clear Service 02. I'm assuming service 02 is service B, and wondering why I can't a "cannot be carried out" message when trying to clear it. Is there a specific time/miles that we must wait to in between clearing services?
Hey Paul Rivera thanks for watching my video. In my experience I and opinion I have selected the çarried out full service option, which reset the indicators that were being displayed. It is important to check what the manufacture is asking to service at that time in order for your car not to develop issues over time. Your owners manual indicates the necessary services for your vehicle. Please share your diagnostics, thanks.
Hello, I have a 2016 C300. Followed your steps works up to confirm full service in ASSTY menu, I get the message "full service cannot be confirmed" instead of "full service confirmed". Worked perfectly on my 1st oil change.
Hey INCOGNITOCT SLO thanks for watching my video. If it is push start, I press the start button twice, without holding the brake. Please let us know if that works.
Hey, after looking around I found the actual way as I was too having issues. Make sure the trip distance is on your screen Then press answer call and imdetiatly press OK After 5 sec, your sub menu will show!
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. Are you getting waring signs or indicators of any sort? Have you checked your fluids, oil and coolant to make sure it is there and clean? Please share an update, also what color is your coolant?
@Wheels Tips! im use to the guagevwith the stick i had a 2013 accord so now this being a benz and like digitalni justvwantes to know wherebit should be
Hey Tkay King thanks for watching my video. If you already changed the auxiliary battery and are still getting the message, in my opinion you may want to scan the car for fault codes and see if any diagnostic trouble codes are stored. This will help you diagnose the issue. Please share your experience.
Truthfully I do not advertise for anyone, I recommend doing your own research, especially if you are working on this type of car. I recommend google searching the keywords, top 10 diagnostic scan tools Mercedes Benz. A lot of it depends on your familiarity with computers and gadget ease of use in general. Please share your followup.
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to ask a question. To the best of my knowledge that is a time based indicator rather than mileage based, enjoy the car.
the sequence worked but when i pressed the full service it came up with a list of oil grades. clicked the top 1 then it asked if full service was complete, pressed ok but it says full service could not be completed. Now it has changeg from A/F sevice overdue to Service B is 29,000 miles overdue...........Help please??
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. You should select the oil grade that you used to perform your recommended service you were resetting. It’s possible you have lapsed your other services as well. Are you using all recommend parts and/ replacing all necessary service items for the service reminder you are resetting? Thanks for any updates.
@@WheelsTips The service has not been done, I just wanted to get rid of the message. The service message was SERVICE A/F over due by XXX Days. Carried out your reset instructions until it said SERVICE COMPLETE. when I turned the car back on the Service message had been replaced by SERVICE B over due by 29,000 Miles. Tried to reset again but after the oil grade menu it just read Full Servis could not be completed. Any Ideas? Thanks for the quick reply :)
Thanks for your great video! I did exactly what you showed and it confirmed "Full service carried out" but when I returned to the trip it shows the service exceeded by 25000 miles and it does not let me reset it again. Is there any other solution to re reset that?! I really appreciate your response.
Hey MrEbliis thanks for watching my video and for sharing. First question is was the car indicating past due service when your reset? Also how far have you driven the car after resetting? Lastly there is a way to adjust assist plus actions in the instrument cluster settings depending on your ability to navigate the menus. Please share an update, thanks.
@@WheelsTips Thank you so much for your prompt response. Yes, the car was showing the service A is past due by 30 days. I have driven the car about 25 miles after the reset. I have to look at the assets plus and see if there is any setting that can clear this up. Please feel free if you know where that might be. Thanks again!
@@MrEbliiS Which service does it say exceed by 25,000 miles and how many miles does your car have? You will have to corelate the service number where you said perform full service and reset that service individually as per completing that service. Please share an update, thanks.
@@WheelsTips It shows Service B is exceeded by 25,000 miles. I have about 44,000 miles on my car. When I go to Assist Plus, I am only showing Service 1, Service 2, and Confirm Service. When I select Service 1 or Services 2 and press OK, nothing happens (it does not enter). I am only able to enter Confirm Service. I appreciate any insight on how I can get rid of this message. Thank you!
@@MrEbliiS Thanks for the follow up, my best recommendation is that you follow the service manual as expected when servicing and resetting the service after performing the service. If you do not have the booklet that came with the car google search, 2015 Mercedes C 300 service schedule. The first page will direct you to a PDF by Mercedes indicating the service schedule of all Mercedes cars. As I read it seems the car should have been serviced about 4 times already, about every 10k there is a service and every time the, Reset maintenance service indicator in instrument cluster, is checked as part of the service along with all the items to service. Please follow your service manual and exercise best judgment on servicing your own vehicle. Please share an update, I personally have reset the cluster a few times to get it to stop indicating, after not doing the reset procedure over a long period of time. Most importantly I followed my service manual and wrote down every service I did.
Hey Harley Baker thanks for watching my video. To the best of my recollection that is correct. Just out of curiosity why did you change the oil before? Are you using the correct spec oil such as MB-Approval 229.3 and 226.5. I do not know what engine you have but they have very specific oil, specs along with the weight of the oil. Thanks for any update, greatly appreciate the feedback as well.
@@WheelsTips i had them changed it ealry just out of bordom. I had probably 3,000 more miles left on the previous oil. I only drive about 8k mes a year.
@@harleybaker7781 If you do not drive a lot and live in a 4 seasons area it is still a good idea in my opinion to change the oil regardless of mileage. This in my opinion will give longevity to the engine. Thanks again for the update, greatly appreciated.
Hey himanshu patel thanks for watching my video. Push button is similar, 1 push without foot on brake is ignition position 1 and 2 pushes of the start button without foot on brake is ignition position 2.

Hey Deepak Ummannoor thanks for watching my video and for the great question. Please share an update if have access to such tool, thanks a bunch.
Hey Justin Hurley thanks for watching my video. I would check the radio fuses one is under the hood number 26 (20amp) and one in the trunk fuse panel passenger side number 84 (7.5 amp). Checking fuses would be the first thing if no power to the radio. Please provide and update.
Hey James Slaterly thanks for watching my video. Make sure you have the ignition in the correct position when attempting to do this, let me know if that changed anything.

Hey Eric’s Adventures thanks for watching my video. Have you tried what some of the comments said about some tweaks to my method, such as just holding the call button and not both the call and end at a certain point? Please share an update, apologies for inconvenience.
