Awesome video. My unit has been giving me the communication error for almost a year. Installer can’t figure it out. I just tried your reset. Fingers crossed. Only difference is I’m running a Goodman non communicating 16 seer ac unit.
the video was excellent, I have a outdoor sensor needs to be added message that needs to be corrected. The system has one but it wasn't added??? I went through the whole thing twice but I still have the message. thanks, Gil
Hi Scott: Great stuff you taught. I have been using the thermostat CTK01 for my AC/Heat Amana system for about ten years, but now it has a touchscreen problem that I need to replace. Can I purchase the CTK04AE for a direct one-to-one replacement? It's due to the fact that the wires ( C, R, 1 and 2) layout look the same on both unit CTK01 and CTK04AE . That makes it very simple for me to follow to install it myself. Once installed, for setting the CTK04AE up, I would just follow what you showed on the video. Do I need to provide "Dealer Information" as it showed in the Installation Guide for the ComfortNet CTK04AE? Much thanks for any input you would provide.
Hello I have a Comfortnet Thermostat that is connected to the Honeywell HE360 Humidifier, the humidifier is not turning on so I bought a new fan side replacement to test and see if it was a broken fan control board or fan, I also replaced the solenoid (as the unit was very old). I am still not getting this unit to turn on so I am thinking it maybe the connection to the Thermostat (I know its connected to the IFC on the board) whats the best way to confirm the signal from the Thermostat is connecting with the humidifier?
I have a 3.5 ton Goodman with this thermostat. All be running well for two years. A few months ago the thermostat went blank. I thought it had a dead battery, so I replaced it with no luck. Called my a/c man and had a clogged drain. They corrected that and since then my thermostat isn’t the same. In A/C I have it set to 74 and it will drop to 60 at night and rarely shuts off. They have been here 3 times and can’t get it corrected. They have ordered me a new thermostat, but going on a month now and thermostat hasn’t arrived. Before all this happened my unit would stay on what temp it is set on with no issues. My a/c man said to change my set points and see if it helps. I put temp on +2 and humidity at +1. Still no luck. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
Great video! How can I find out what the installer password is? Mine is set to 69 min for AC and I would like to change to 68 as my wife would like it just a bit cooler at night
You shoumdnt a code to change room temperature unless someone has put in a low temperature limit. Depending on your tstat you could set a programed schedule
The CTK04 doesn't seem to recognize the coin battery. Have changed more than once but still does not power thermostat when pulled from wall. Any thoughts? Thank you
The 2032 battery only protect memory. Does not power the stat. If your getting a battery error check tabs tgat hold the battery in place be very care if you try to afjust them easy to break
Its will not have dry mode but it dehumidification is turned on you'll get a setable humidiy set point with a range of 10% i recommended 45 to 55% for summer
Eev valve require special board as well as thermistors on the indoor coil some require a pressure transduce. Unles a package unit came with eevs i would say no, no cost effective to convert the system
