I think it time to decommission the official residence and to buy or build a new modern residence using all Canadian Lumber etc...the old place can be turned into a museum.
The interior needs more fabric and window dressing. -/ the soundscape is horrible - it’s clattery and echoing - this isn’t a banking hall - it’s a house. The exterior elevation has some weird tacked on bits and pieces that don’t fit. Otherwise it’s ok - mediocre .
AND who is gonna pay for the Stornoway refurbishing?....You with more taxes?...I mean if you are Canadian...The opposition leader should be more than happy to have a beautiful mansion for FREE while in power. In other countries they do not enjoy those perks, just the president.
The only G7 country where the Prime Minister and the Leader of Opposition living in a dumpster and fly broken airplanes. Canada can do better than this.
