An alien crashes on Earth and hides in a remote Colorado mountain town. After assuming the identity of the town doctor, Harry Vanderspeigle, his nefarious mission to kill all humans is threatened when he realizes one of the townspeople, a 9-year-old boy, can see his true alien form. Harry starts off living a simple life, but things get a bit rocky when he's roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world and slowly begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission on Earth.

What about the cow and the milk drinking joke? As he runs away from the barn after being discovered by a young girl, he yells back at her, "it was consensual". Or when he took over that woman's body so he could steal the radio part. Then he asked Asta, "can you tell me how to pee?" It really cracked me up!

I absolutely love this show. My friend and I watch it in our own homes on Wednesdays and get together and watch it again on Saturdays. I don’t want to tell you how many times I watch it again while waiting for a new season. The comedy- just one example-the episode where the kids put on Ben’s play about the 59- damn, that was hysterical. And wouldn’t we all want to have friends and neighbors like the people in Patience, if we could?

Great show and terrific cast!! They give every character a personality and also take time to focus on their backstories. They blend with each other so easily and that helps to make the show even better!! Great scripts and some serious alien thoughts about how we humans act and interact with each other. Great scene when Harry looks up the word "douchebag'. Hysterical!!!

This show is the very BEST thing on TV. I hope it goes for many years. I hope the the people at the Sy-Fy channel don't screw it up and cancel the show like they have done so many times before. Stargate Atlantis, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Stargate SG-1, BSG, Farscape, and Sanctuary, all canceled after 5 seasons.

SG-1 went on for 10 seasons and ran its course. BSG had only been scripted out for the 4 seasons they did. Atlantis did end earlier than they wanted, but it's never gotten a continuation sadly. The other shows you mention, all had either low ratings or were cancelled because of low ratings and high budgets. SyFy isn't a mega huge network, they only have so much budget to go around - thankfully Resident Alien is a fairly low budget show and SyFy just renewed it for S3 late last month.

Bronx Love Guyz... The show airs Wednesday in NYC, I will watch it at least 4 more times till the following Wednesday. I'm searching and finding the small jewels of different character development each week. I LOVE the strengths and weaknesses in each character and how truly flawed they/we are. Thank you for this precious show. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE WORK

I absolutely love this show! I have it streaming right now on Netflix and I can't wait to see the third season. I love Corey's cowboy persona and he sure looks great in that cowboy hat. I also love Alan's character who is just so charming. I hope they keep the woke stuff out of it. ☮️💖🙏

Love🥰🥰🥰this cast, & I'd love 2 have a hot sheriff like that😻😍, but I do believe in "aliens!" This is the # 1 show, on TV, & definitely 1 of the best shows, ever! Okay, firstly, Alan Tudyk is the best actor in the world. But, the other characters have just grown and evolved, and they are just really interesting. As we get to know them, the comedy comes from the characters, rather than the plot.

Tonight, August 10th it comes back for the final 4 or 5 episodes of season 2. SyFy announced they renewed the show for an even longer season 3 (12 episodes) about a month ago as well.
