One of the best tracks in the game. You're finally outside-you can see the moon, and there are no enemies. It's calm, safe, but it's foreboding because while you may be on the outside, you're not free. The nightmare isn't over and it only gets worse from there once you make that descent. Such a masterpiece.
The music goes so well and the wind in the background adds to the effect - I wonder what the views are like from here. I'm a hardcore fan of the RE2 OSTs
This game had phenomenal music. One of the best in any game ever. I love the intro, how they have the action-packed music when you're out on the street surrounded by zombies, then you get very little music other than ambience and you just get to look at the destruction, and then you get to the Police Station: the whole town is dead, this place clearly isn't safe either, you don't even know if the other survivor you med has made it, there's zombies pawing at the gate, and it just starts playing this absolutely depressing hopeless music: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8M8VimU389w.html. I was 18 when this game came out. I remember last day of high school leaving early to go buy this game at a Toys R Us then playing it throughout the summer. It was an awesome year. I was dating my HS crush after I finally mustered the courage to ask her out during Thanksgiving 1997 and we lasted through till the last day of summer 98 before going off to different colleges. Everything of that summer was great MJ and the Bulls’ last run, the Monday Night Wars, splashing in pools, Godzilla. I can keep going but you get the idea
I have my own personal memories that are connected to this music. Bitter-sweet. Social media can be so shit. But then coming to videos like this and reading the comments that are filled with like minded people reminds me that there's a good side to everything that is bad. Cheers guys.

I hear ya I got this for GameCube now they want 140.00$ for this game for that version even 250.00$ for the GameCube version of resident evil 3 back then it was 49.99 these scalpers are nuts!!!!!!! It ain't even worth it
1998, I first saw people playing this game, the sight of a licker always sent chill down my spine. In my country, PlayStation was not really a “home console”, not many people could afford one. There were PlayStation cafes instead. Some people installed a few to several PlayStation at their home and charged customers hourly fee to play games. They also served drinks and snacks, instant noodle… There was time when all 20 slots in such a cafe were customers playing Resident 2. I miss those days.
Used to walk to work at 5AM in the winter - wandering the streets before the sun came up, basically no cars, no lights on, with this in my headphones. Honestly a gorgeous vibe and atmosphere - totally get what you mean!
Whenever I play old school RE2 I always look to the right corner of this screen where you come from in RE0 and think...damn I wish I could open that door and go see what it all looks like lol

This game was something else. I wish I could experience again for the first time. I can't tell you how may hours were spent playing this game. I did full walk throughs scouring every single corner, desk, office, piece of paper, and I speed ran it trying to always beat my PB. So much fun
love this theme , its a real calm before the storm moment before the final stage of the game so load up, stockup, reload , save your progress , breath relax and get ready for one hell of a ride before geting outta this crazy madness

@@basicloner I was born in the 80's I was 10 when resident evil came out. Everything felt better back then. Pokemon was out, wrestling was at its peak, days seemed longer and summer went on forever
Especially in the music department. Every pieces in the original is strikingly iconic, where most of the Remake OST are snoozefest with the exception for a few pieces and even those are remixes of the original.
I always used to listen to this piece back when I first bought it on PSP. I'd save first and then I'd have it playing in the background with headphones on. Until I was able to find the soundtrack through Limewire and didn't have to keep wasting more battery than I needed.
idk why but this reminds me of like old dbz music that would play during like the androids appearance in the future trunks saga in the 90s or so (or around those types of scenes)
First remake in video-game industry and the best re in my opinion. And those 'zombies' are so well made, the best in all games combined. This game's a true gem.

Outer space. Resident evil was once touched by god. It has such a strong meaning. I really do hope we'll one day get a remaster of original 2 and 3 on ps5 or ps6. We already go 0 and 1 remake.
Anyone still playing on scam-box consoles in the 2020s is doing harm to himself and the industry. Go grab a mediocre gaming PC made in the past 10 years. Boom - you now got access to ALL the games, and some of the greatest fan-made remasters and total-conversion mods imaginable. Also FYI, the REmake 1 does not replace the original 1996 RE1. Play that first.
The remakes have been great (RE2) and solid (RE3) and RE4 looks to be fantastic as well. But the soundtracks have not been nearly as good as the originals. At least RE2 let you use the classic OST. Of all the complaints people had about RE3 it's soundtrack was perfect and exactly how I wished they did RE2.
That's one of the numerous original pre-rendered shots used in the game. I'm pretty sure someone has ripped them all by now. There's also the brillian, AI upscaled "Seamless HD" mod, that cranks up their quality a ton.
This track was originally from 1.5, even if was used in a small part of the game its better than throw it at a trash bin like many things from that demo

I really like re2 and 3 remake. But it is different games. Nothing will equal these. The first game I ever touched was re3. My dad had 123 on ps1. Then I played re2. I was little so I was doing nonsense things, I didn't know what I was doing. 1 on ps1 I've never touched ever. I don't even remember my dad playing it at all. But the remake on GameCube hell yea. He came back from work with the remake and I remember taking it in my hands and behind there was the image of a zombie with his left his mid open and I got a jump scare and let it fall on the ground 😂.
The problem is irresponsible government as whole not working for the average citizen. It's citizens not demanding what they deserve because of learned helplessness.
