@@bofadeez8480 yes the SAME game with IMPROVED and ADDITIONAL contents like the first RE game, NO ONE ASKED to CHANGE the whole game and putting recycled assets to replace the original locations. They didnt listened the fans, and this is how RE3R FLOPPED as "worst game of 2020" RE3R is the most BORING as hell game ever and THIS Remake doesnt have ANY deviations, ANY variations especially without the "Life Selection", with an boring intro and boring linear cinematic action and SHORT than a DLC level of development. Even the Mercenaries was added, replaced with an BORING VS online. NEVER change a classic because its NOT what the fanbase ask. No one complained about FF7 Remake, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy and Yakuza Kiwami.

I’m playing 3 remake currently because I never truly did all the stuff in the game. I have a B on hardcore. 2 I mastered but for some reason find this game more difficult.

I agree with everything you said except the $60. I gladly gave them my money the first time, along with my trust. I’m not giving these lazy mf 60 nothing after they played me the first time. They have to make it up to US. We did our part by happily giving them our money in the first place.

Why pay an extra $60 for a game that could have been made that way the first time when it was being developed? They had all the resources, I don’t get why they did this. Then again, this was put out by another team, not the same ones who released re2r. It sucks

TBH I think that wasn't the main problem. I think we'd be ok with them deviating from the original line of events, IF the actual navigable part Raccoon City wasn't like two half-streets, if Nemesis properly pursued us, stayed longer in human form, had a tentacle form, appeared in the Clock Tower and was an actual PURSUER instead of a couple of admittedly fun (except the last one) bossfights.

There is no telling. I doubt re8 demanded more of the time and spotlight from the re3 remake. However, they may have felt that including another run through of the rpd as Jill would be over kill, as in the re2 remake, you already had to go through it twice to get the true ending of the game. This, of course, would be a really wrong, but reasonable mistake in judgment.

The original resident evil 3 had so much potential and great ideas but the remake didn't the developers where to lazy and just decided to cut almost every part from the organization it's sad resident evil 3 is my favorite resident evil game i am soo sad the remake turned out thus way

Very true, the fear died when Nemesis became a scripted event at certain moments in game, always when Jill is present tho

He was always scripted, minute you got to the police station, he shows up, in that restaurant, he shows up.. when you go back downstairs in the police station, he shows up in a scripted event, clocktower.. again.. scripted.. so that remark, oh they ruined Nemesis by scripted him.. please.. you forgot that he was scripted in the first place.

@@samuelhaverghast2442 He's saying Nemesis's behavior was dynamic. He'd follow you between rooms in multiple areas. He really only does this for the single downtown area in the Remake and everything after that is purely railroaded events. After RE2 Remake took the few Mr. X encounters and made him behave more like Nemesis, people rightfully expected a big improvement to Nemesis. But really he just ended up being a glorified Mr. X for a single segment of the game, and just cutscenes or boss encounters for the rest.

This is why I didn't play either. They were too rushed.

The encounter where he's have a Rocket Launcher is the second one that at bottom of the stairs next to Dark Room. And that encounter only happened after Jill was done with RPD and ready to leave. When Jill wasn't completed her tasks inside RPD, she encounter Nemesis without Rocket Launcher. But yes... They did well with Remake. It's extra fun. The only problem is, it's too short... On the other hands, they could've follow closely to Original but then we're would've been bored. However, I wish they bring some DLC backs... Like how Jill visited RPD one last time. Possible talked to Marvin. Possibly Encounter Zombified Brad. DLC of RE2 was kind of sucks. They give us a NO WAY OUT with a cop that nobody knew instead of give a us a NWO in RPD with Marvin. And they wasted 4 options with Tofu DLC but none on Ada or Cherry? I meant, they both in Main story but we're played like 5 minutes of them to progress the story. That's it? How did Sherry got into RPD? How did Wiliam got to hidden Passage of RPD? How did Ada arrived?

@@austinjt4264 I never played the original but I watched videos of it yes the first encounter was outside of the police station but the remake we got was horrendous and they cut out too many parts in the game like the clock tower was cut from the game

I still have a save file on my memory card right before that cutscene. Having Brad die to random zombies in the remake was one of the bigger letdowns for me.

They made Nemesis not intimidating in the remake. I cringed at the scene where he kills Mikhail as they made it so lame I was almost in disbelief. How can you ruin something which is established to work?

That tells me that they did plan to make jill go to the RPD but scrapped it for Carlos instead.

@@bogymanthedark Someone did say that Tyrells animation was originally Carlo's animation cuz they "didn't want to lose their male audience." Which I kinda understand, but at the same time I kind of think it's stupid.

I remember watching a video where when you're on parking lot, if you go outta bounds to RPD you'll find Nemesis waiting there. They only leave placeholders in certain areas if they intended to use them. Which means this video and the one mentioned are evidence that we were meant to have Nemmy and Jill face off at the RPD. I think someone mentioned the parasite zombie introduction was supposed to be done on Brad too, which makes a lot of sense. Fuck, typing this breaks my heart.

Thats the thing... They knew that they could half ass it and still come out on top. Preorders went through the roof after RE2Remake. So basically: Way lower production cost + reused assets from previous title + lots of preorders = MAJOR profit They played it efficient, not honorably but efficient

@@UnTerHosenDan this game is hard evidence that preorders are a bad thing. Sequels can suffer because the franchise starts relying on the name rather than virtue of the gameplay itself. Like you said RE2R preorders went through the roof. RE3R suffers as result, because whatever effort they made with RE2R was squandered the moment someone at Capcom thought "hey, the first remake did great before it even hit stores. The next one will do just as well guaranteed. Since we know it's a done deal, we can just mail this one in. All they want is a rehash of RE3 with the new engine, I'm sure no one will miss the things we leave out." It's the old adage "why but the cow when you get the milk for free?" given life.

@@UnTerHosenDan everyone keeps saying Capcom, they might've published RE3R but they didn't make it. The team that made RE2R wasnt the same as RE3R, they were focused on The Village. RE3R was outsourced to another team to make. They didn't care about RE3, it was a cash grab 100%.

Lol instead we got real life footage of generic riots. Like I shit you not, the moment I saw that I knew this was gonna be a low effort remake. Imagine including real life footage of general riots in a 2020 game, when a game released in 1998 gives use a fully animated cgi opening that actually pertains to the game. It’s just infuriating

Eu tbm estava esperando muito por esse momento. Comprei antes do lançamento e joguei assim que foi disponiilizado. RE3 sempre foi meu favorito as espectativas estavam la nas alturas depois de ter jogado a obra prima que foi o Remake do 2. Mas foi muita decepção. Triste demais isso. Teve um cara de um canal do youtube aqui no Brasil que o cara chorou em Live igual criança. O cara era fã demais de RE3 e ele considera o jogo preferido da vida dele. Jogou na infancia e assim como a maioria se decepcionou muito. O cara chorou pq sabe que foi talvez a ultima chance da vida dele de rejogar o game preferido da vida dele e teve essa decepção.

I feel you. Over one year and the wound is still there (: What disappoints me mostly is I can see the huge potential in the current game. The game is not all bad there are actually great things in it but Capcom did not care enough for the game to make it reach where it could’ve been. Even the marketing for it was lackluster. They just rushed it out like you said to carry the momentum of RE2 Remake. There was no passion towards this project.

I find it equally hilarious and ridiculous that people bash re3 remake and praise re2 remake. Both were shit compared to the originals. Let's not pretend that re2 didn't have it's fair share of cut content, they also made the story worse than the original.

@@SPYKHALID re2 had cut enemies and locations. It ruined Ada's backstory, and in doing so severed a connection between re1 and re2. Because of how poorly the second run scenarios were handled, Annette died in 2 different places and made no sense whatsoever. The fact that Leon and Claire fought the same bosses in the same locations (apart from G4 and super tyrant) was a cop out. Ada was meant to be a spy, yet she made no attempt to hide her true intentions from Annette. Chief irons' story was watered down and totally ruined. The zapping system was non existent and there was no secret lab which required access across 2 campaigns.

@@SPYKHALID also, the sheer lack of interaction between Leon and Claire was ridiculous, they didn't even stay in radio contact and both just happened to get to the end location at the same time.

Capcom will probably never do it, but it would be nice if years from now if the game ever gets updated for next gen consoles they do a remastered version of the game with added content like the Clock Tower and Jill exploring the RPD.

@@AZjesse1 They could add Nemesis's original tentacled stage 2 form as a boss fight in The Clock Tower for example, and still keep Nemesis' quadrupedal feral form as stage 3.

Exactly how I feel man. I always like re3 more than 2 but could admit 2 was better. 3 always had more potential to me and I really hoped they wouldn't repeat history but...

@@chojinkid RE2R is a good game, but very bad remake. No zapping scenarios, same company in all 4 "remake scenarios", they basically retold Claire A and Leon A stories (which doesn't work), 0 Leon and Claire interaction, gutted characters (Annet and Chief were horrible in Remake), all same boss fights in all 4 runs, etc. Good game, very bad remake. RE3R is a lot worse, though. It's some Michael Bay bullshit. I really don't get all RE2R praise when it's actually not a good remake.

@@Aru_J_Sol I actually consider RE2R much better than the original, you wanna know why? cause the finally made RE2 a creepy game while the original just lacked of horror elements, horror locations and difficulty, the RPD now looks way darker than the original which just didn't feel scary enough IMO, and more of a random public place, just not tensive enough, I consider RE2 OG the most overestimated chapter among the originals, it just doesn't cope with RE1and that's the reality of the situation, people love RE2 cause it was their first RE game most people started with, but it's far from being the best RE ever. The only flaw RE2R has it's the lack of a B scenario, I give you that, but as a remake it's a pretty good upgrade and whoever denies that is just a nostalgic. RE3R is the good game but a terrible remake, but RE2R was good enough on my schedule.

@@chojinkid I agree that RE2R is a good remake, but I disagree with it being better than the original. You can't forget that og RE2 came out in 1998, they didn't really have the capabilities to make the RPD very scary other than lighting. Look at the original mansion of OG RE1 it was literally white walls throughout. I'll give it to you that RE2R made the police station darker and creepier and definitely added a level of tension. I still think the absolute best remake in gaming, and probably the best RE game, is RE1 remake. They managed to keep the whole original game in tact and added layers to it. Had they used that game as a blueprint for both these remakes they'd have been much better off. I think RE3R did a much better job at being consistent with the characters though. RE2R did terrible with Claire and Ada. They seemed too modernized.

They also need to remap/redo the town and to redo the warehouse and the storyline with brad . I would pay 60$ for a true remake as well.

Imagine if they actually put some effort on this. Old Nemesis could dodge projectiles and cancel attacks. With the technology at disposal today Nu Nemesis could have been THE stalker creature, lurking at every corner, adapting to your actions forcing the player to be on the edge, creating a unique experience every playthrough.

I'm glad that Capcom fired M-Two Studios. I just hope that we see it done right one day. I know it's unlikely, but it can happen. Hey we asked for an RE 2 Remake and we got it who knows.

The Combat in this game was so ass, the whole “Wait for your crosshair to tighten in hopes of a critical shot.” 100% worked in RE2make because of the slower pace, but this was supposed to be a fast paced action horror game. And slow paced combat mechanics + fast paced action, does *not* work.

To justify the original game? Why does the original game need justification? People already played it and enjoyed it.
