@@dimensionalnemesis8636 Not even the rail cannon was enough to completely put him down. It took 6 magnums shots to his brain and a freaking Nuke to finally kill him!
@@chrisprusinowski5287 Nah i think he was already dead before the nuke, he was so fried to high hell i think the staging made it clear Jill finished him off right there and then, though of course you can choose not to finish him off in which case its the nuke.
I always loved how the classic RE games always used a big epic orchestra sounding songs for the final boss battles, it added another layer to the horror, it drove the narrative of this is it, do or die
Yeah just like Birkin’s 4th and 5th forms, Mr. X final boss battle, Alexia’s bug fight and Thanatos Tyrant from Outbreak. It FEELS goddamn tense and like you said epic, knowing this your moment to FINALLY take down and kill these monsters who have been pursuing, terrifying, you and won’t stop till you or it is dead for good. Capcom hired or have talented people who have made dark, sad, nightmare fuel and badass soundtracks for all of us RE fans to enjoy and love❤👍old and new
The most persistent monster in RE history. The Nemesis gets reduced to a mindless huge blob and he still tries to complete his mission of killing STARS members. Though it had probably forgotten all of that and just saw Jill as food for it to grow bigger at the end.
The final form of Nemesis(the hideous mutated version) is actually the symbiote inside the Nemesis series taking over the body after the head of the host was destroyed. Whether or not it was still actually trying to complete the mission or just being a huge killer monster remained unclear.
@@LordProteus lets not forget... it ATE the remains of a TYRANT to regenerate to TRY and kill Jill, this thing is more terrifying than anything else that Umbrella made because of that fact alone, it wont give up, it wont stop, it will do whatever it takes to win, even hit with a rail cannon TWICE doesn't kill it, it STILL persists in trying end Jill and complete its reprogrammed mission.
Dominic dominic I see clearly that this re3 was a quick buck after last years success of re2 and it’s not worth full price. It’s a 30 dollar dlc at best.
Dominic dominic actually if you check eBay you can get it for 50 to 80 dollars depending on condition. He’ll factory sealed is worth 400 because you know why it’s legendary.
The Nemesis Tyrant has a symbiote inside it(which is where the tentacles come from) and when it's head is destroyed, the symbiote takes over, hence the monstrous mutation for the final boss fight.
I think this is a very underrated last boss theme. What I loved about this song was that part of it is tense and oppressive...but another part of it sounds almost heroic too. Almost like it also represents Jill’s last stand and final triumph over Nemesis, which felt well earned. It’s like she’s struggling to overcome it in the music itself. It also makes me think of a ticking clock which along with the chorus is a constant reminder Raccoon is in its final moments. I personally associate it more with Jill than the Nemesis cause of that. When they inevitably remake RE3 I really hope they keep and redo this song in grand fashion.
I love how the remake respect this theme but this one feels way more epic by far That "5,4,3,2,1 fire!" really give the chills you really facing a final battle.
This theme... it makes me think that Jill's sorta thinking to herself " You know what, no more. We end this *now.* " Most likely, the player would think the same.
Now imagine this whole scene, the missile's time, the cannon charging and Nemesis final form trying to kill you in the upcoming RE3 REMAKE, the hype is so f*cking big.
I was casually browsing through RE3 songs when I came across this. I really wish they had done this game justice in the remake. I know some people like the version of this song that plays in the remake. I don’t. Because imo it attempts to go for “epic”. This song is not supposed to be epic. It’s supposed to be desperate, while also capturing the obstinacy of both the main character to survive as well as the monster to kill her. And speaking of the monster, that is another problem with the remake. It tries to make the final boss grandiose. This is not what this final battle is supposed to be. It’s not supposed to be Nemesis at his best. Quite the opposite - he has been dramatically damaged by now. It should be dead. And yet, against all odds, whatever remains of his matter continues to drive it towards its goal. Really an almost unstoppable creature. The remake throws all of that subtlety out of the water for “heeey epic lightning cannon + giant alien king, have some cheap grandiosity”
imagine Mr. X but with a pump-action rocket launcher or long tentacles while sprinting at you like a grizzly bear that can combo you even when you’re down on the ground after when you’ve been knocked down.
Disagree, RE 3 remake is fantastic. I give it a 9 out of 10. I don't mind the changes except for removing Grave Digger. That was the only thing I didn't like about the game. The rest of it is spot on
Played this game after playing the RE3 Remake. 0:39 gave me serious chills in the moment. The choir kicking in as these two nemeses clash one last time, throwing everything they’ve got at each other as all of Raccoon City takes its last breaths. Awe inspiring. While I still like the Remake, I definitely do agree that this is the better game.
Underrated commented when I got to the final boss as a kid on the original I was so afraid but I soon used all my ice rounds and fire rounds and kicked his ass!!
I love ALL the implications of this fight. The tyrant part of nemesis is completely dead. He feeds on the tyrant to have enough strength to carry his dead one remains in the Hope of killing you once and for ALL in a timed battle with minutes left until raccon city cease to exist.
It’s amazing how much the remake missed the point of this fight. Throughout the game by intention or not nemesis’s ai has been descaling with the flow of the plot an Jill’s rising determination to escape. At the start. He’s a nigh unstoppable force to be reckoned with, if you even limp on yellow caution you’ll meet brad’s fate nine times out of ten. You don’t go toe to toe with him if you know what’s good for your life. When forced to confront him in the clock tower, Jill utterly tears nemesis a new one, and damages him to the point where he’s evolved tentacles throughout his arm due to the lack of his inhibitor coat. What everyone seems to miss is that this form lacks his grab and instant death attack, so that now jill Valentine and the formerly unstoppable beast can now confidently fight each other to a standstill. He’s scarier looking, but it’s just a confident facade. The nemesis was already crumbling before the factory. The chemical fluid only exacerbated the rapid metamorphosis, and the nemesis becomes an unrecognizable twisted version of its former horrific glory, nothing but a mass of flesh that the one and only Jill Valentine squashes under her boot like a bug when all hope for escape seems lost. Umbrella may have tried to take her down, but Jill Valentine rose above their ultimate failure. Compare that to the remake where nemesis is a big wall fuck you dead space monster and all subtlety is GONE. Thanks M-Two. Sure nailed it. 😒
I totally agree ! And in his first form he was very scary like his theme. Then he mutates with his tentacles and became less scary and his theme change again to be more epic until the final confrontation with this triumphant theme which tries to support you to kill Nemesis once and for all ! Nemesis has 5 theme in the original.
É sem sombra de dúvidas uma das melhores músicas de batalha final da franquia. O sentimento opressivo e aterrorizante emitido pela melodia representam muito bem a aflição de Jill perante um pesadelo que se recusa a morrer!
@@ak--xm6bw The remake game is really garbage. The Remake betrays the original with the horrible differences and the missing stuffs. 3 to 6 more months of development for giving better designs of Nikolai and Carlos, adding the original costume of Jill, the missing BOWs and places like Park and Clock Tower and change the beastforms fights of the Nemesis and the final fight more challenging, using in the end the rail cannon as final instead of a 6 feets, 100 pounds rail gun too heavy for Jill would make this game less garbage. An average game but an horrible remake. By far the worst remake of the 3 remakes. The 1st was awesome, the second was great but the 3rd... I had a stressful headache before starting... I had in the end a disgusted headache and a huge dissapointement. But the remake music of the final boss is a great one. Slighly better if not equal as this original music.
@@erheetrherh2659 Agree for the quick cash but it could have been better with 3 to 6 more months of development for a better criticality... For me, it was too rushed and a bad remake with what they gave us with the bad differences of the original... Quality owns quantity...
So I only played RE3 once. I have NO memory of some of the ost but hearing the remake ost and seeing everyone’s comments about it I had to come back and listen. And holy shit I can see why there was no need for a soundtrack swap when it’s already so identical!
You needed an experimental weapon of mass destruction to kill him. And he would have lived through that if you didn’t shoot him 6 times with a magnum. Nemesis is the best pursuing monster
This is probably my favorite RE boss battle of all time, because if you have the Rocket Launcher, you can actually spend blast him hard enough to make him try running away, but now he's too big. As such, you get to finally get your revenge on him by blasting him repeatedly while he desperately wants to escape YOU this time! Perhaps the most cathartic kill of any game -- I mean, it's incredibly rare that a villain causes your character a lot of pain, only for you to be able to cause him substantially more at the end!
I love reading youtube comments... Literally just tells me that im not the only one who thinks all this wild storytelling through just the music alone. Soundtracks will never be this amazing again. RE3 remake version of this brought a tear to my eye hearing it
"You want S.T.A.R.S?" "I'll give you S.T.A.R.S!" Best line in the entire series. It's right up there with Claire's "Sucker!" after she gives Mr. X a nice lava bath in the original RE2, Claire B scenario. Timeless!
Ever think that in a weird way the Nemesis at this point has evolved to have a vendetta against Jill and thats why it resorts to becoming a gigantic mound if flesh and having to slug around.
Nemesis knows it's on its last legs, and is going beyond its limits to complete its mission. Lost in the remake where it just turns into a big brutish gorilla-like form halfway through the game.
After getting chased around by him, it's time to put him down for good. The "you want stars, I'll give you stars" line, fit the last part perfectly. I can't believe the remake messed it up by putting the line on a random chase, but put an F word for the final shot. Modern game at it's finest.
I love the og version of this fight. The host tyrant body is dead, the Parasite itself, who wants Jill dead at all costs, consumes another dead tyrant to gain enough strength to finally finish the job. Mere minutes before the entire city is blown to hell. Too bad the remake just went with immobile wall of flesh for some reason.
@@3rasvok24 no they did not. They also added a lot. Did you even watch a walkthrough or play the game or are you making judgements based on echo chambers?
His True form also appeared in Marvel VS Capcom 3. I wonder what he would look like in the Remake if it Comes out after The Resident Evil 2 Remake in 2019?
As you shove the railgun down nemesis’s mouth, he roars a final “S.T.A.R.S.!!!!!!” Before you pull the trigger on the gun That would have been a good idea on how you killed nemesis in the remake
Nemsis was only one piece of flesh, but still he had some of the recognizable features like the skin color or his purple tentacles and especially the will to kill Jill.
It's odd how practically noone noticed the similarities between this and T-B (the original Super Tyrant theme). For whatever reason, Capcom decided to bring this resemblance in here, when there's nothing left of the Nemesis' human body and it's just NE-α dragging the crippled carcass forth out of pure instinct to finish Jill off. Was it done to signify the contrast between Nemesis and T-103 in a way, by making it sound like a slowed-down version of the Super Tyrant theme with original "synthetic" leitmotifs to describe the artificiality of the entire creature and its horrendous parasitic compound?
@@deltatwo8051 The RE3 Remake pales in comparison on every level compared to the original. The RE3 Remake is mediocre game overall. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.

@@Stratigoz oh my bully tried to fight my sister, he landed a solid punch, she reeled back in pain, but then immediately whipped her head up to uppercut him with her head From then on, I’d learn how to fight someone with unorthodox movements, not martial arts, but a form of mocking it in a way that your opponent doesn’t entirely expect As I said, this was my older sister, and we were pretty young
To me, personally, I happen to like the remake. Yeah sure it's rushed, but I could care less. RE3 was relatively short since after all, it was supposed to be a side-game originally while Code Veronica was supposed to be the actual RE3, fun fact btw. At least appreciate the fact Capcom remade this since, don't forget, we ALL asked for it when RE2 remake became a big hit last year. But yeah, RE4 remake? It's fine as it is, and I prefer a remake of Code Veronica instead.
No Name I never said people were asking for it to Capcom directly. People knew with RE2 remade, we’d be expecting for RE3 to be remade as well but never thought it would be released so soon.
