Yes, but those interactions freeze the in-gamer timer, that’s why he didn’t skip them.

when you allow yourself to be bitten or shoot bullets past, then the difficulty on inferno is reset. Before entering the police station, we meet a Bred who cannot be killed by inferno, so when the speedrunners allow themselves to be bitten, Tyrell opens the door to the police station faster

The game has a hidden difficulty slider just like in RE4. If you miss with your shots and take damage, the hidden difficulty slider is lowered and makes the game slightly easier for you.

@@Kaazey81 I'm probably too late to answer, but it's stair skating. Basically you use the aiming animation to give you higher speed on stairs

The radio call is considered as a cutscene so it does not affect total time while you are walking towards the next objective

for some reason they dont attack (or way less often) when you're aiming at the ceiling. Weird right ? He's just exploiting this in order to bypass enemies faster

The lickers are blind ( literally ) if you run they will run after you. You can walk and they can't get you, they only chase you if you run. this was the same for RE 2.

He more then likely will But for those who don’t know, the usual business with speedruners is like with everyone else. they enjoy the game at a leisure pace for the first run , get their bearings watch and enjoy story you get the idea we just chillen for first play through 😎 . Some runners do this off stream however but , It’s where second play throughs come in is where we start seeing actual attempted runs ,route building, strats and optimal and specific item locations and how to access them early on with this being built on overtime I just personally hope resident evil 8 doesn’t hit the hard cap too soon . (In others words the perfect run that’s humanly possible) I would like to see a fair amount of runs before it hits the spot re3 remake did. I feel like re2 remake had more of a speed run life (but it’s obvious thats due to the choice pick with Claire and Leon so you already have 4 different runs not including *difficulty’s* right there ) while re3 is just a straight shot Edit: not implying people don’t still run the games also there’s still that chance of a new strat or something of the sorts coming to light tempting runners, to re play considered optimal runs for better times

When the radio cutscenes are playing, the in-game timer stops, saving him time. Notice he skips the cutscenes when he gets to a door.

Skins don't count as mods because it's a physical appearance change that doesn't effect the game play

@@dnegel9546 thats what i thought at first but i was like "dont they have enough pc specs to deal with frame drop when theres a lot of things happening on their screen" but i guess every little thing counts when doing this WR speedrun. thanks!

@@paramore13334 so from my understanding speedruns use a certain amount of fps or settings to make it fair for everyone. That way someone with an unlimited budget pc wont have an advantage over someone on a budget pc. But yeah I really dkn why its done here tho. Could be possible that the character runs or moves slightly fast that way.

When she talks on the radio, time does not pass and you can move saving a few seconds.

To lower the DA, basically if you miss the shots, the game thinks you are bad and lowers the difficulty, that's why sometimes he shoots the floor, also for inventory space i believe
