1999 Nemesis is still terrifying to me, when you cant see him and all of a sudden he sprints at you. The random encounters keeps the game fresh all these years later. There's nothing like that in the remake. Remake Nemesis was supposed to be the evolution of Mr X from the previous remake. Instead he's just an on-rails Naughty Dog set piece, absolutely pathetic.
I found this video on the steam community page, and you did an excellent job reviewing this game. I personally have never played the original RE3 as I was not even born yet at the time and I didn't know about it growing up. The only RE games I played were RE7, then RE2 remake and finally RE3 remake. I agree with all the points you made in your review, if I hadn't played RE2 remake, I would be completely lost in the lore of this game. It is a fun action game, but is lacking in survival horror. The world would be empty if it wasn't for Carlos and Jill. Overall, RE3 remake was still a pleasure to play through and I enjoyed every moment of it. I think I might play the original RE3 just to experience it for myself after watching this review. Thanks a lot boss, will definitely check out your other game reviews. You deserve more views, seeing how professional your reviews are.
I hate this game. A lot of it feels like the devs never even played the original beyond a rushed one half hour run through. Like Dario freaking out in the original, you can go back in the original game and find his body with his journal explaining everything. Nu-dario behaves like a crack addict. Nu-Nemesis looks like a melted candle and his AI gets stuck on too many things. 1999's Nemesis looks imposing, had decent AI for his time, and was downright scary at times.
This video was really good, i agree completely. The remake was a biiiiiig disappointment. It's just Capcom continuing to screwing over Jill Valentine. They should release the 1-3 sourcenext ports on steam.
As somebody that grew up playing and beating RE 2 to a pulp - I can say that the remake was not only everything that I expected, but far, far more. It is a masterpiece, and I don't understand how RE 3 Remake could fall so flat on its face after RE2 Remake.
Interesting, i assumed remakes follow the source material heavily. I'm just starting RE series. Only played village. Any other remakes worth dodging? Im currently still on RE1. Playing on hardest difficulty 😭great videos btw very underrated imo
Thank you! From other remakes, I only played RE2. It was one of my favorite games of 2019, can't recommend this game enough. Haven't played RE1 remake myself, but hope to catch up with it someday.
RE1 Remake is one of the greatest if not the greatest remake ever. A masterpiece in survival horror that every fan should play. Took everything that made the original great, made it better and added even more to it. It's how a remake should be done.
That’s bc capcom was midway through finishing re2 and started development on this, then ran low on money. Was it bs, that re2 got to have it’s A & B scenarios and re3’s live selection feature got cut...yea, was it disappointing the lack of stage1 nemesis battles and item drops...yea. I don’t know what capcom was thinking considering the original re3 sold more than the original re2... tbh. I still love this game more than re2 remake. I still love they added the dodge ability, and that for sure is a lot better than the dodge of the original. You get 2 extra difficulties, you get an item shop to purchase extra hip pouches, coins, the crafting companion(from the og game) etc. don’t knock this game just bc capcom was greedy, and couldn’t contribute as much money to this project as they could re2. Tbh this game is still a hell of a lot better and fun to play then re2... for the simple fact better guns, infinite knife(that doesn’t have to be sub equipped), you can defend yourself when you have no ammo, knife or dodging. Re2, if your out of ammo,a sub weapon, or get grabbed from behind or if your out of ammo when x shows. Your almost screwed.
