I know right? I didn't saw trailers or anything and bought the game the first week, and was very pissed because Leon looked and sounded different but as the story progressed I saw the photo of younger Leon and decided to Google the V.A.s because of Ada too and was surpised to see Nick as the protagonist, such range in him, so amazing
Nick had one of the hardest acting challenges in the entire RE series: - To reimagine a fan favorite character in RE2R while capturing the original spirit of the character - Then to reprise the character in a game that was both a sequel to that remake and a remake itself while being true to Leon's history in RE2R AND capturing what made Leon feel special in the original RE4 And he fucking nailed it!
Nicole you're perfect for horror games. You're chaotic vibe and all the screeming and panic makes it so much more enjoyable than if you were just another flawless speedrunner. Never change Nicki!
Such a gift to the RE community Nick is. I don’t think we could’ve asked for a better Leon at all. He fits perfectly in line with all of the legends who’ve portrayed Leon before him and his love for re4 OG and the series shines so well in his work.
Hey Nicole, the laser sight instantly gives you the "focused shot" bonus, increasing stun and critical hit rate, definitely worth it🙂 And if you see this, Nick, thank you for doing Leon justice with your performance, Bean Town represent!🤘🏽😢
You know how cool it is to think Nick and his lil bro have been playing Resident evil co op together for years. Then one day big bro comes home and says, yeah I voice Leon now.
I haven’t watched a Nicole play through video in like 2 years and wow her camera quality is amazing now! I love the lighting and everything too. Can’t wait to see her in another RE game ❤
Really love the remake also enjoyed the original. Love Nick as Leon his voice fits as Leon. Also I would be game with a storytime with Nick lol. It's fun to watch Nicole play these games and listen to her reaction and commentary makes it legendary. It would be funny if everytime Leon kicks someone he would say "roadhouse!"
I love how all the VO's from the Resident Evil REmakes (and RE Village) have become good friends. Nick did an amazing job as Leon in both the RE2 Remake and the RE4 Remake and it's must have been amazing for him to have portrayed Leon as a rookie and as a pro.
Not gonna lie, I'll absolutely love a RE5 Remake... and a Reimagining for RE6, they had the right idea with 6 serving as a sort of closing chapter and multiple campaigns, but they really need to make a more horror focused version of it's story. Honestly! It could work! (I'd also die for Remakes of Revelations 1 & 2, Code Veronica, even Outbreak. It's honestly a shame we only ever get to see Claire in side games now...)
@@KalebKing88 Even at this point, I am STILL amazed with how Nicole has great aim and shooting whenever she plays RE meanwhile I give myself a few moments to pin point a proper direction. She truly is Jill Valentine. ❤
Hey Tompkins, you got my name 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩! Although my fans/friends call me Nikki. Do you know that our names and Nick mean victory of the people?! We're all fighters! Resident Evil 4 has always been my favorite game in the franchise!
Good to see you both! 😊 I haven't seen yall do a stream together in years I'm so happy yall are at in again with Resident Evil! 😃 Hope to see yall again I didn't know Nick is on Twitch I'll look for him 🌻 yall have a blessed day 🌝
I would love to see a new RE mainline game, starring leon. We did all the remakes, they are great. Now lets make it a trilogy and finish his arc in a new game.
Yes, the laser sight is superior because it eliminates the waiting time for the aiming reticule to focus. It's more than just aesthetic: it's point-and-click shooting.
Yeah, too bad all the guns it fits it are 2.0 damage and below.. i think silver ghost is 2. Sentinel is 1.9. And I forget punisher but its low too.. Its hard to justify that when there are a few pistols that are about double that damage. And, yes, I realize the laser guns are based on crits, they arent suppose to have raw damage. Ok cool.. but that relies on RNG.. Which means sometimes their head will pop immediately. That's cool. But most times I just end up shooting them in the head like 8 TIMES until they die.. because without a crit, the damage sucks. Even with luck on your side, what, you'll kill some enemies in 2 or 3 hits? Guns like blacktail and Red9 will just do that, every time, through baseline damage. Personally I do actually like sentinel 9. But mostly because it looks cool, and I've played so much, OP guns are boring.
am i the only one that prefers crosshairs in these games? lmao i never had a problem with its aim. its easier for me to get precise shots using crosshairs than laser sight for some reason
Nicole you should know the laser is easier to see if you change color from red to green in settings and display. Green shows up a lot better even with the brightness turned up a bit.
Wish I could watch the play through, but sadly I am yet to experience the remake myself, so until I get my hands on it one day, it will have to wait. Personally, RE6 is my favorite, so I hope to see a remake of this one.
Yeah.. that's wild. So many masterpieces, you choose the one weird game. I get it, some people find the game fun, sure. And if it was released as a different series, it may even be a good game. But it's a TERRIBLE resident evil game. That's objectively true.
@@karenamyx2205 I know how much the fanbase hate RE6. What made it fun for me are 3 main reasons and they are: 1_ AI partner from start to finish, all the way through the game. 2_Multiple stories to play (4 sides) with each have its own characters. 3_Each character meet the others, and we get to play from both perspectives during the cross-meeting. This might never return in RE, sadly. To be honest, RE8 might have been fun, but it lacked a good story AND an actual multiple playable characters.
Totally Agreed! I absolutely loved RE6, and genuinely hope they do a Remake or maybe even a Reimagining, give all the campaigns the same feeling that Leon's has.
@@greenth-mac2550 I actually have similar reasons for loving RE6, same ones for RE5, I played them both with my niece, RE5 was an utter blast the entire time we played, and 6, we primarily goofed around. For example, one moment I recall vividly and always will, is when we were playing Chris' Campaign, it was one of the last couple bosses and we ran out of ammo. So my niece, who was playing Chris, went right beneath the boss and proceeded to just knife it to death while I ran around and offered a punch every so often
He is my 2nd favorite Leon and even Nick would know the reason why he is second and it is actually quite the honor. Paul Mercier was just iconic in his role as Leon in OG RE4 that nothing would really replace him at the top spot by just voice alone, like someone would have to have a better voice, better lines, etc to pass Mercier but I think Nick came the closest to really giving that iconic performance since Mercier. Don't get me wrong, I loved Paul Haddad's Leon and Matthew Mercer's Leon but to me they lacked what Paul Mercier and Nick were able to pull off with their roles and while they are lower on my list, they still have quite a place in my heart because Haddad was the first Leon I was able to play as and the rest of them followed and Matthew Mercer's Leon still has a charm to him. Back to Nick though as he is my second favorite due to how he was able to go from rookie cop to badass government agent Leon which is something no Leon actor has been able to do and do it so well. He had to nail all the different ways of speaking changes Leon would go through and the voice change in itself. Like someone loosely stated previously, he had to nail the oblivious, gullible, scared, passionate, trusting, hopeful Leon in RE2 to then go and be a Leon that is worn down by the world and the events of what happened with his failure to save the city. He played this Leon with a cynical, less trusting but still hopeful ideology. You can tell he is more ptsd ridden here compared to the og and thinks not of only saving one life but saving billions, making this venture different than the previous one as it is more dire given the implications of this. With these more dire situations, he was able to do his own take with some very memorable lines while at the same time knowing who Leon is as a character and what he would say in situations like the Bingo line and keeping it here which I heard he fought to keep some lines. I think Capcom made a perfect choice with him because he is a gamer and knows these games, taking very great care and understanding in getting Leon right for fellow fans such as himself and for this version of RE4 which paid off wonderfully for him and all of us as fans.
“shoot the fishes in the water, you can pick them up later, oh, OK!”!lmao 😂 believe it or not, the El Lago instant death- a lot of classic resident evil four players were using against new players of the remake
I wish I had Leon encouraging me. Been working on a cosplay and I plan to walk around asking people if they’ve seen a girl in a photograph and just pull out random pics of stuff like venom or Spider-Man with a pink bow on their head. Also “Ahi va eso” means “here you go” I believe. Idk how to spell Spanish words but “agirraldo” (or something to that effect) means get him/them
you have a mushroom shirt I like you already. hey Nik you ever gonna rock the heavens streaming with Mark Meer? Play the games each other were in? I tweeted you both the same thing. I want to see both actor and in character reactions if Leon and Shepard met. PLEASE. I ask because Mark's a goofball and you got the art of the one liners down while playing Leon. Plus there was that RE movie where courtney taylor played Ada, and Courtney played one of my fave mass effect ladies too so... also i had some interesting ideas for an RE costume for Tali'Zorah so. yes i'm routinely editing this with my reactions as I go sorry not sorry... also sadly Tali would be a glass cannon in Resident Evil because of her species' terrible immune system so it makes up for putting superpowered tech in a 21st century zone. no need to nerf the lady. is an obsessive reloader. also i picked up RE2 for the first time and saw streams of RE4 and I'm like... OMG why am I not squealing over this bishonen and why are he and Luis not making out in a nice dark corner somewhere? legit that was my first reaction to seeing Luis "OMG my inner yaoi fangirl is now sprung for Leon and this guy." then I saw clips of the movies Leon is in and the agility he's got and I'm like "how is this guy not a mutant? also how much more extra can this get?" like as far as action movies go I'd rather have insane feats of agility and speed and NOT massive numbers of giant explosions. that skull should seriously be a warning, if there's one, there can be MORE, and the things that they came from! There's a bunch of people who translated what the ganados are yelling. Look it up. Besides the cusswords and threats sometimes you can hear them talking about how powerful Mendez' plaga is compared to theirs. oh god Nik in character on your stream talking to himself, loooool 4th wall break. get Nik on again, or Ada and I will come and scree live. because Ada gives me serious fangirly nosebleeds. Leon can't have her I want her. you know you can throw eggs? at the merchant AND at bad guys AND at Salazar when he shows up. just pack golden eggs for the napoleon wannabe, regular isn't strong enough. you can also use the cows to wrek havoc. Just channel Mrs. O'Leary, knock a lantern over and watch them plow through the guys with bull heads on. i can't have popcorn because i have very bad teeth. I like yogurt with homemade flavor syrup, honey, local jelly or real maple syrup on top and some form of berry and chocolate candy on the bottom. And I do make my own flavor syrups. Anise hyssop done lightly is okay but its an herb used for homemade cough syrup. but lemon balm is a good one. so is rose geranium. i've made black raspberry syrup because those things come out of the woodwork in my neighborhood every july so its like "I have five pounds of fresh wild berries I didn't have to pay for, now what?". Hmm, tortilla chips are good. pesto pizza or pesto on pasta make good dinner and a movie meals. mom and i have this thing where we watch hulu a few times a month and have dinner. so we get together and watch 911 or the Rookie on hulu and have dinner. the music in the shooting range reminds me of the music used for the arrancars in the anime Bleach. when you do get a partner, bring them back to the shooting range, they'll love watching you work.
Love Nicole's streams with guests, someone has to get Nick to say the meme line in Leon's voice, "Get back Ashley, this residence is about to get evil!" lol since he did some lines from the original RE4 (No thanks, bro).
...Huh. So this time around, they cut the quicktime event with the rope wrapping around Leon's ankle, and him having to cut himself free. Not sure how I feel about that.
