Damn, this is amazing. By far the most comprehensive parry video I've seen--I imagine it took a long time to make! I appreciate that you even made an encore video to include the few parries that weren't in this one. 👏 I played on Professional briefly to try out perfect parrying and it was definitely a challenge. Even when I press the parry button right when the cue shows up in the health bar area, it often doesn't register with the pitchfork enemies. 🤔 Have you ever run into this issue before?
Before this vid i thought Leon can parry some knifes, axes and crossbow bolts... But no. Leon can parry literary everything. - Any direct attacks. - Throwable objects. - Spits of acid. - Minigun fire. - Verbal insults. - Plot holes. - Explosions. - And any hot chicks beside Ada.
Man the best of this parry animations in this remake its that they made the fight with Krauser a lot much more intensive and amazing making him a real melee attack with knifes making it look like a cutscene fight but at this level the gameplay attacks are more closer to look like cutscenes attacks its just amazing, the parry animations was something new and very awesome, also in 12:09 Leon reminds me Deadpool blocking the bullets with his katana swords in this case only with his knife haha, awesome video
I realize it's an entirely different kind of game in the style of classic RE puzzle-solving survival horror, but the graphics engine and the character models are the same as the more action & combat-oriented RE4R, so it confuses my brain 😅 My instincts are still wired to RE4R.
@@ryanologistonym basically the same thing applies for ALL chainsaw enemies, if you don't know how to parry, RUN lol that insta kill is bothersome to say the least when a ganado blocks your path and pushes you back like a gta pedestrian. Also I heard having hai strands on can also make the game optimization lag so it might change the amount of time you have to parry whenever you turn it on and off. I parry much better with it on than I was doing with it off on professional
really entertainment, and remind me the round I tried to pass with only knife. Defeated the right hand and both type of Major with only knife and kick made me great satisfice
Comprehensive for sure, but MANY of these are the same animations with just a very slightly different weapon and a Ganado in a different coat. This video could have given all the same information in easily five minutes or less. Still, there are things parried in here that I just had no idea were a thing. I'd never tried parrying projectiles like dynamite or molotovs
Parry is overused the devs must've just through that parrying was just the coolest concept ever when they added it. Personally don't mind a parry since the og kinda had it but they overused it to where it just feels like a forced mechanic that they had to add because they remade what shouldn'tve/didn't need remade which meseed everything up.
It’s not overpowered until NG+ unless you spoil the game for yourself. 99% of people assume for good reason that you can only parry the weak enemy default attacks at best. Other than blocking the chainsaw, only because it prompts you to do so.
@@Chrish992 I never said it was overpowered I said it was overused so many attacks you shouldn't be able to parry like a fucking chainsaw,Molotov, or Saddlers big arm
Maybe someone’s already mentioned, but parrying Krauser’s attack can deal damage. Actually you can finish the knife battle with parry as the last attack.
