You know for a while I always relished in that type of relief of getting home locked away from all the trouble in the world for a little while with Darkwoods Morning soundtrack I think it fits better than this, Serenity feels like the type of song you'd want to listen to after you have retired. Settled down with someone you love, have grandkids and now you're just sitting in a comfy chair staring out at the Sunset realising you did everything you could in your life and that it's all smooth sailing from here on out. the morning ost from darkwood sort of just delivers that "You'll be home soon." vibe
OG or Remake, both the serenity themes are amazing. The OG gave a sense of “you’re safe here”, the remake for me gave a sense of victory, coming out of disaster. It’s perfect.
Honestly, both versions give me that "you're safe here" feeling, but the original tells me more along the lines of "You can stay as long as you want", while the remake tells me "Take a rest, mate, you've earned it. But don't kick your feet up just yet, you've still got work to do." Like you said: perfect.
@David Bee There is nothing wrong with prefering the original serenity (as a matter of fact I do too) but you have to be high on hardcore drugs to not realise how masterful this serenity theme is as well😅
There's 2 versions of Serenity. If you open the menu, There's a calmer one but once you choose "buy" then this one plays. Edit: My bad. Both versions are in this video. 1:11 is the more quieter version.
@@anomitas To each their own. With the original serenity being what it is, its hard to convince a majority of people to prefer a newer original track over something so iconic.
Tengo como 400 horas de juego en el nuevo resident, solo puedo decir que... vaya obra maestra me acabo de jugar, ojala hayan mas juegos de este estilo y con soundtracks memorables.
"I've see you have an eye for things. Guns aren't just about shooting, it's about reloading. You'll know what I'm talking about." That's amazing than they took back every lines from certains guns you buy to the merchant, especially this one for the Broken Butterfly Mangum Revolver.
I hear this in my head whenever I go out in the woods by myself as winter starts approaching. Something about no cell service, less sunlight, cold air, and leaves turning brown makes it a really fun experience, although it’s probably not wise to do. It is a special feeling and thing I do perennially and now I have a song for it.
How amazing I love this soundtrack it's the same as the demo but the difference is that it's clean as it should be, so I waited 1 whole month and it was well worth it
for me this is the only ambiant sound they make better than the orignal by adding those sad violins ! but the others like : save them and "infiltration", I prefer the old ones ! and for God's sake !! why they changed the merchant epic voice ?!! lol
I had a dream about RE4 years ago, before the REmake was even announced. I'm not sure if it playing the game, or if I was taking Leons place, but it had a completely different feel from the game: melancholic, lonely, yet beautiful. I think the dream really captured the atmosphere of what such a scenario would feel like, outside the context of ordinary gameplay. Being sent to a remote Spanish countryside completely alone, full of violent parasite-controlled victims, yet able to appreciate the beauty and find calmness and resilience in the moments of peace. After the RE4remake came out everyone saw the true terror of the situation and Leons attitude was quite different from the original. In retrospect its obvious that Leons constant snarkiness and humor in the OG game was really just a way of coping with the situation, making light of a harrowing experience. This soundtrack really nails the atmosphere of Leons story: finding beauty in despair, horror, and tragedy.
I love both this and the og i like this a bit more this feels more grounded and somber fits the remade game which is also grounded (og4 and the rest of the action trilogy was not my favourite like my fave og4 video is why it needs a remake)
While I DEFINITELY prefer the original to this version, I’ll give them credit for not trying to “replace” or “improve” the original Serenity theme and just doing their own thing
@@amiramri3032 i ve found the other version, its still not the serenity. Its just some random ost. And its not bad, but its just not it. It is not a song that gives me a feeling of comfort and anxiety at the same time.
@@chari5165 Well I don't know if they should have reused the sample. But I'm glad that they chose to make their own thing. However. A RU-vid comment said that they actually used a Sample for the Mr. Salvador Theme. So yeah they're still using samples but goddamn. They really know how to make these samples fit well.
With a lot of these tracks, I'm finding that the OG versions are a lot more 'bold' and 'vibrant.' I don't think that's just nostalgia talking, either... Those are legitimately more satisfying to listen to, even all these years later.
Doesn't even sound similar which is good I guess. I had to search remake version. It could've just been called "merchants theme" no one would notice. Original stands on its own.
