Every year, me and my sister go back to playing Mercenaries on this game again for a few weeks and trying to get 150 combo on every level and we barely lose combos now. We've been doing this since around 2010. Still love playing this game. :)
What I like about the Mercenaries Reunion are the new moves. Though some can only be used when paired with specific characters For example: With Chris, Barry, and Rebecca, Chris is able to use the Rising Upper and the Hammer Elbow, Barry is given the Lights Out, and Rebecca has the Double Flame Shot. When Excella is paired with Rebecca or Sheva, she can use the Cross Slap, Sheva is given the Double Fang. With Sheva, Josh can use the Maximum Straight. Complex, but a hell of a lot of fun.
Every character has two “partners” that enable their alternate attacks. Josh also gets Maximum Straight when paired with Barry. A buddy and I used to play Mercs as Josh & Barry, which we dubbed “Team Acid Rounds” because the combination was really powerful, especially against living things.
Ah, I remember getting over 100,000 points with good ol' Barry. Bashing & blasting Majini heads and reading their rights with the .44 Magnum. Shotguns? Assault Rifles? Rocket Launchers? Don't bother cause I HAVE THIS!
@@ColdNumbzThePain I mean, it's canon that Barry survived RE1 since there's a ending where he picks Jill in RE3. He returns for Revelations 2 and lives through that. Rebecca Survives RE0 and RE1 to my knowledge but hasn't been featured in other games canonically but i have a feeling that's due to a certain head staff not liking her.
Westley Tan -_- he's talking about how using Rebecca with the shotgun + this theme playing makes you unstoppable (not really, but you feel badass whilst doing it)
@@MereelSkirata no it wasn’t; Assault fire was definitely more memorable. But Mercenaries Reunion was just overall a better song. It made you feel like a hero.

This would be Excella's signture theme in my opinion, resident evil 5 mercenaries (and reunion) only had one theme for all characters. In R.E.4 each theme was 'assigned' to a particular character.
The composer for this probably got inspiration from that. It makes sense since a video game music composer would probably have played video games before in order to know what kind of music to make.
every time a new RE game is announced I wish they have Barry as a main character, as he's my favorite character in the series (to which many people disagree with me) at the very least, putting him in Mercs: Reunion was a start (GBC game? what GBC game?)
