1:11 I can't get over how cool Wesker's move is here, dodging the bullets and basically strutting up to Chris while keeping Sheva suppressed the whole time
N00BPUN1SH3R I think the Cult Leader from Dead Space 3’s Awakened DLC was influenced by Wesker. Everytime you try to shoot the cult leader he will just teleport side to side with a sinister laugh.
I do remember when I players with my friend in co-op Mode and these quotes still floating in my head and his dodges sure are insane. One of the best cinematics I have seen
@@carlitos8013 honestly they should bring Wesker back but I think he's gone for good. I don't see how capcom would bring him back with the currently franchise coming back to horror rather than action. Wesker is straight up Neo from matrix lol.
Wesker and Chris both still using their custom Samurai Edge Beretta M92F's...pretty cool. Same thing with Barry in the Revelations 2 game, he's still using his custom Beretta. Jill was using it in 3, but I didn't really play Revelations, so not sure if she still was. It's a cool little detail I like that they've kept the whole series. Pretty bad ass that being in S.T.A.R.S. got you a guaranteed bad ass model of a pistol customized to your liking lol. Wesker and Barry's are by far the best...although in the series you see that Chris, Jill, Barry, Wesker, and Rebecca all have their own special models. Unfortunately Kenneth, Forest (Grenade Launcher), Richard (Shotgun), Enrico, and Edwin didn't apparently carry special M9's like their friends.
@coachmilldawg in the story he never uses the gun through the walkthrough, only a knife as it was shown in the cutscenes of Jill and Rebecca were holding a firearm weapon and Chris doesn’t in re1. Chris having a gun through the walkthrough was for players to beat the game without any difficulty, but canon wise of the story, Chris didn’t have a gun until using one at the end of the game.
I like how Sheva was just along for the ride the entire game and was probably blown away when she finally met the Fearsome and infinitely cunning Albert Wesker! She was probably thinking, "This is Wesker?! I've only heard ghost stories about him and his power. How the hell was Chris able to survive all this time against this dude?!"
I would be so bold as to say that in Resident Evil's universe God is actually a thing, since no man can fight evil all by himself and succeed. It requires divine resolve and a lot of will power like those of the chosen ones in every story. Further proof is that every RE hero who has survived until this point is a christian lol. How do i know? Well simple because no regular human goes around saying Jesus Christ! what in the name of god? Oh God! And so on (This is your regular RE writting). Checkmate atheists now the boulder finally makes sense.
For some reason, 2:42 absolutely crushed me. Seeing this hilariously jacked up meatcake of a man have a heavy moment of regret, despair, and panic all in one was heart-rending. He knows what happens next and he doesn't want to feel that ever again.
I mean no matter how somebody looks, they all have feelings you know. Especially someone who looks jacked because they must have had a good reason to dedicate their lives to being strong and big, example being Chris wanting to protect his sister which means he cares a lot about her.
I also like that you can see the despair in Sheva’s eyes as she lets go. Like she was completely ready to sacrifice herself to take down Wesker. Sheva is so underrated
@@ahmadattoun6318 this isn't from any previous game, the events of that night are revealed to us throught the game, and there's a dlc where you play with chris and jill through that night. Jill didn't die,but she was tought dead for a long time and it scarred chris severely.
He dont wanna feel the same fate jill she had, thats why he save sheva. If that happens there will be another resident evil 5 part 2 and will held on indian ocean islands and were gonna see evil sheva with her thicc booty and micro chip on her melons just like jill. Sigh...
if only he didn't want to savor each and every moment of his attempts to kill, maim or harm or torture chris, the job would've been done EASILY. that's what his biggest weakness was all along, tunnel vision+excess narcissicism.
Too bad he's the antag, he don't get plot armor. Instead he gets monologues, stylish flips and petty punches, instead of just straight up killing them.
2:43 this was really emotional when I saw this, the way Sheva and Chris stared each other as Chris has a flashback to a similar situation where he was about to lose Jill only this time, Chris was determined and saved his partner
2:55 When I replayed RE 5 a couple of years a go, I felt emotional in that part. Always played RE 5 alone and the AI always made me go crazy when it did some stupid shit. I really started to hate Sheva's character. But then, there she was... Throwing herself off of a plane just to save Chris (or me, as a player) Just then I understood a lot about this game, Chris got swollen so he could not see another one of his partners die. I love this game.
In my copy i mostly get killed there that time i was abput to get chainsaw and was corner and when the chainsaw guy about to strike and i had no time to move, sudddenly sheva show up and. took the game over death.
Am I the only one who thinks this shows how badass Sheva is? She looks so badass with her knife at 1:25 and 1:36, Just wish they bring Sheva back. Definitely one of my favorite female characters in RE!
Still one of the greatest QTEs in gaming history, idc what nobody says. This is a QTE done right, It's not extra will all the button pressing and constant pressing, although it's a boss fight, it;s not a boring one, everything from Wesker's dialogue and movement, the music, Chris and Sheva doing their best to keep up with Wesker and Sheva willing to sacrifice herself during the descent, it's enough to keep you interested and tuned in for the final boss fight. I even think the QTE Boss fight with Wesker is better than Volcano battle.
Had to frame-by-frame analyze it, but when Wesker's strolling up to Chris and suppressing Sheva, he's firing one pistol, then chucks it and draws his Samurai's Edge from his coat in a single motion, and points it at Chris's head. He moves so fast that I never even realized that it was two different guns! They seem to both be Beretta M92FS's, however (albeit the SE is a custom variant). The first one is just a generic black one. Very interesting. What's with people in this game and goddam Berettas?
Yup he is counting Jill bullets as he shoots her gun, walk to Chris, and suppress Sheva and Jill gun only holds 15 bullets if you count from the cut scenes he runs out as he dodge Chris and throws the gun and pull out his own model to kill Chris with the gun he started with when they were all in the mansion together. Crazy detail they went through making this game.
@@unr8ted77 if it wasn't for chris?! You mean when she threw herself out a window because he couldn't get out of weskers grab? Which Sheva does by herself btw. Carla says it best, his track recorded of killing teammates and subordinates speaks for itself.
Jiea Dee I’m not gonna lie, I was. I got goosebumps here. Then I remembered, Chris kinda had the same arc in re6 and was like, ahh, well, it was a fun game at least.
+LIL JOJO But what can you really do against him in single combat? The guy can move faster than bullets and pull a Wolverine healing factor out of his ass.
+plmokm33 its because of his arrogance that he is beaten, at this point, he firmly believes that he has won, so at no point does he think of Chris and Sheva as viable threats, hence why he toys with them, even when he could have killed them at any time
The serum is a massive plot hole and inconsistency made by capcom. In previous entries Wesker has never had the need of a serum that can "stabilise" the virus within him. Then capcom fucks up again with Jake in Resident evil 6, the son of Wesker who casually injected himself with many viruses and he was UNNAFECTED, even by the newly virus, the C-Virus yet Wesker becomes infected by the Uroboros lmao... Honestly the best villian in the RE series, period, was killed by mere inconsistencies, plot and stuff. A villian like him deserved sooooo much better, specially if he was the mastermind of most RE stuff.
The serum isn't an inconsistency, in Code Veronica and Umbrella Chronicles he was already super-human, the serum was created by Albert himself in order to make him stronger. If he stopped to take the serum he woulnd't lose its powers, he would simply be weaker than he was in RE5. Although, overdosing on that serum could corrupt his DNA momentarily and if taken on high doses could fatally poison him and that's what Chris did. I have tons of books from RE1 to 6 and the Art of RE5 explained stuff about the serum. It actually makes a lot more sense than simply having Wesker with super powers without the need of something to make him stronger.
bro wesker was on straight demon timing on this one. bro was making DIRECT eye contact with chris giving a whole speech all while he is shooting at sheva maintaining the same posture while side stepping, then is all of a sudden at point blank range aiming at chris's head. albert is the epitome of black air force energy
2:42 is very emotional and stuff, but I will forever remember how the first time I got to this part I was playing with my brother (me as Chris and he as Sheeva) and I freaking missed the QTE and we both laugh like "you dumbass, you let me die and ruined the emotional scene lol"
Seeing sheva giving up her life in order to save chris was heart breaking and remembering jill asking her to take care of him had me in tears but thank God he didn't let what happened to jill happen to her too😊
Did anyone realized that Wesker never mentioned Sheva throughout he game.. He can say "im taking the 2 of you with me!" but never actually mention or describe Sheva.. But kepts pursuing Chris lol
There's a theory that sheva was added in to shut up people complaining that the game was racist, in the early trailers we see cutscenes and gameplay of Chris completely alone, plus this would explain as to why wesker never mentions or says shevas name and it would make even more sense when you beat Jill she joins you in the fight against wesker hence why Chris has that flashback of her falling during this fight
When me and my friend played through this game, he wasn’t expecting the save Sheva QTE and we both chuckled when he said “oh shit” missing it last second
That glare that Chris had when Wesker drew the Samurai Edge must’ve hit hard for him. They were part of the same unit, but Wesker betrayed them and had all their comrades killed. To see him still carrying that damn gun must’ve angered Chris even more.
There isn't a single ounce of cinematography this brilliant in any of the remakes...say want you want about re5 and re6 turning into action fests...but god damn did these games delivery top tier direction and cinematography.
"issex3: Chris: wait wesker if your hear then who is flying the plane UH OH Wesker:WTF are you talking about i got a zombie to do it Chris: oh thats fine... WAIT WHAT" the plane was autopiloted
0:24 Why does it sound like he's sad that no one will help him And in general, I felt sorry for Wesker as he passed, since he didn 't have something like attachment to something, and besides, he was removed from his parents, and he was right about humanity getting one step closer to self-destruction.
I actually loved Sheva as a character yeah the AI was annoying but I thought she was smart and likeable (as you can see from this scene). I don’t get all the hate for her lol
@@crystalchrxs ahhhh exactly! RE5 was actually the first game i plaued in this franchise, haha. Sheva was such a good character and she is so underrated. I hope if they release another one set in Africa they include her again as a playable character!
The characterisation is all in people’s heads. There’s nothing in these cutscenes that really reveals her character. The same goes for all so-called characters in RE. I’ve said it for decades: These are NOT characters. They’re playable avatars, as generic and accessible as possible to the masses.
I don't care what RedLetterMedia says, this fight choreography is badass. Though I do admit it's really over the top and so it looked silly in live action.
You don’t care what they say, and yet in the same breath you address those guys rightly laughing their arses off at a stupid film. Yeah it looked horrific in live action
