I am sick with covid, but getting better. Since I can't leave the house at all, I've been replaying some of my old games. Fired this one up yesterday for the first time in over 5 years and couldn't put it down. Finished all 4 episodes in one sitting. Probably the most underrated game in the entire series. I think I enjoyed it even more the second time around than the first. I think I'm gonna play the first Revelations today.
2024 here. So late to playing this game. I downloaded this for PS4 back in 2020 but never finished it. Finished it last night on the Steam Deck but am now trying to get the good ending.
chaosdream1 Havent played the campaing yet, I kinda wanted to play as Chris redfield or Leon, but rai mode is on another level!!! GO GET THIS GAME ASAP!
They started reviewing the main story early on in the video and stated it's more horror than the past three instalments, yet goes on to display Raid Mode, which is very action packed. I'm not saying they're lying but at least don't show us Raid Mode, a very action-oriented game mode, when you're claiming the game is more horror. You'll end up putting off many potential buyers because you'll confuse them. Show us more gameplay from the campaign in the review when you need to, not Raid. In addition they don't really do a lot of reviewing properly in this video, just showing off footage while joking about and stating tiny facts about it that aren't necessarily needed.
Resident evil 3 had mercenaries which was like this. Resident evil 2 had extreme battle mode which is also like this. Most people will come here expecting this and those who don't should be able to understand quickly that this is only an extra mode. ( I mean no disrespect to you)
I just downloaded the first episode for free on PSN. But one thing I really don't like is the new voice for Claire. Im sure the actress is trying her best, but I can't listen to that voice and think thats Claire. Idk, maybe Ill learn to get past it when I play.
+Deep South Each to their own I guess! One thing I would say, I've played about 75% the way through it so far and I have really enjoyed it despite the flaws! Its not as good as the first Revelations imo. I agree with your comments below - skill system trees just aren't what this franchise needs. RE5 was not bad but it was not as good as RE4. And as for RE6, I've got it on PC and 360 and just gave up playing after an hour or so in both cases. Again, as you say - Capcom really should look long and hard about what made RE4 a great game and follow on from there. It's a no brainer!
Regardless of what you think of the series now, this was a good game compared to Resident Evil 6. You can tell they really tried to make this game return to its roots and make it scary again. Now that doesn't mean they succeeded, but I no longer expect a series that has been almost adding the same elements to the their games for the past 15 years to still be scary after all this time.
I just bought this for $1 through Humble Bundle. Man, Capcom did a stellar job. This game is so fucking good/scary. Just started playing and it looks great. I wonder why the price plummeted so fast.
I always wondered why I was so attracted to Claire. Then I realized she looks a lot like a girl I was crushing on before. Same hair color, eye color, and skin texture.
I have just 2 question if someone could answer just 1 i will be thankful How much does it cost for Alex Wesker to build such workforce in that Island and how did she gathered it all and most important is where did she get the money to do such research ? Did she get a Loan and if yes, how and which bank ? 2rd Question: And where is that Island which was out of the Radar from FBI CIA etc...etc... The most important for me is the first question Thank you
1-I know it's incredibly late but you seem to forget that alex is related to albert wesker and spencer which was the owner of umbrella, most of the research was done by spencer as explained in episode 4 in the document in alex's room. 2-the island has signal jammers that's why the antenna message from the beginning didn't get through.

RE5 has bad AI. But RE6 has good AI for instance your partner has Infinite ammo and it can almost never die, revive you aid you when you are been held or pinned. Revelations 2 has bad AI Moira literary does nothing and Claire gets to close to the enemy and takes critical damage if you are not using her.
+4thDawn wtf are u talking about? both RE5 & revelations 2's AI is waay better than the piece of garbage AI in RE6 because unlimited life for your partner in RE6 was stupid, retarded, pointless, unrealistic and removes tension. While both RE5 & revelations 2 have smarter AI, keeps the tension, better AI because of limited life & ammo, inventory management. Also, RE revelations 2 & RE5 feel like RE games and both of them are better than RE6 because RE6 was garbage! It's the worst RE game in the series and didn't feel like a RE game at all.
My fuck I cannot STAND the character/face design for Claire. She’s never looked so ugly, how the fuck did they do this? At least she’s back to normal in remake 2.
A skill tree in resident evil? Capcom you guys are fucking dopes. All you had to do was make a Resident Evil 4 part two, but you just can't. I really believe RE4 was a fluke and Capcom has no idea how to duplicate the game into a sequel.

Id give it a 4 out of ten. The atmosphere is great and old characters are great to see but the annoying ai partners and the cool combat being taken out screw this game over.

The game was a total garbage. I finished it and it was my last resident evil game EVER. the story was garbage. the characters was not the real characters (If you played RE CV before you will understand Claire Redfield is not like this bullshit character) but I have to give credit to coop system and It will soon go into shit again with micro transactions. just WTF?? A real RE fan never enjoy this abomination. That said, I will tell you the story of next RE. Since RE is soooooo connected to Werker family, the next villain will be Wesker's dad and after that, the Wesker's mother will come to avenge the murder of her son and husband and here we go, the next RE we will find out that he also had a brother. wuuuuuuuuaat!!! this is the bullshit approach Capcom is doing and soon Konami will join them. Just fuck thus shit. I'm out
Aidin Kelki I agree with u bud. I'm giving a review on this game and I'm uploading it on my channel Saturday this week. I'm a huge RE fan but I'm not going to take it easy on this game and I will point out all of this games many flaws. Like the sub-par graphics and laggy frame rate drops and cut-scenes. Feel free to tune in if you want.

This game is surely is a money grapper and just abuses the RE brand. This game is just a action shooter with no respect to RE fans.. If you like shooter games then fine, fantastic and I am happy for you but any RE fan knows this an insult to the fans and it is getting routine by capcom to ignore the fans which we asked for years instead of making bullshits like this, RE 2 which was the best RE of all times.
Aidin Kelki honestley I don't understabd what do the so called real resident evil fans want? Another game that uses ancient gameplay mechanics with pre-rendered backgrounds, tank controls and Lőw budget 80s action flick dialog and a few jump scares? Resident evil was never about horror, it was always a cheesy mutant mayhem story with a lot oh high intensity moments and big guns. Your characters were always highly trained commandos who knew how to handle themselves in deadly situations. And the only thing that Really changed is the camera that copy pasted gears style of view and was the necessary thing to be done back when they madr RE4. Fanboys are biasing their game couse it evolved. Sorry mate, we definetley have different opinion about it, no hard fellings, I like these games for what they are, and hope they soon make the resident evil game you will enjoy too!!! Cheers!!!
wildesthog It is not true completely and names doesnt make fans, memories does. RE1 was the exact thing as survivor horror when you search the whole game for 1 pack of bullet or for not wasting a bullet play the game from last save point. No auto save no stupid creatures. RE 1 2 3 are surviver horror though RE4 never got my attention. If you think I am blubbing about nothing, look at RE HD remaster. Sales dont lie and that is RE
+Walter Domke I bought the game few days ago and raide mode is a lot better than re5...i admit! But...the performance issues is something crazy....some parts of the game have lazy designs! RE5 is much more "clean" visuals and performance.
***** oh I see, you playing on PC right?, I'm a console peasant, and remember RE5 having a target frame rate of 30fps, while revelations 2 works at 60fps on the current gen consoles. Sure Re5 had better graphics but it was a 60 bucks triple a game... While revelations 2 was 24.99 at release, and is a sequel to a handheld game, you had to knew what to expect.
