@@AL2009man Sony is the one paying for the VR ports, with the exception that RE4VR was supported by Oculus. So yeah, just like with exclusive PS titles, Sony says no.
Hell yes, I will replay Resident Evil 8 multiple times over!! The intimidation of that monster..baby..thing, being RIGHT behind you. This is absolutely amazing just, absolutely amazing.
Thank you for not just parroting the same old "I don't play VR, so this shouldn't exist" comment that I've read a thousand times before. It's nice to see someone who doesn't play VR, but still recognizes that other people actually are excited for it.
I really wish that Capcom would port Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles to VR. On-rail shooters are an oddly neglected genre in VR, when all the ones that I've played have been incredible (Rush of Blood, for example).
Well, I personally wouldn't mind having those games in VR. But if I were to guess, I'd say the reason VR on rail shooters are neglected might be because they, by nature, take locomotion agency away from the player, which could potentially easily cause motion sickness.
I'm pretty annoyed it's not available on the PC version since I can't pay for a PS5 AND PSVR2 at the same time. Too much money considering I'm getting a new PC soon. Though for what is worth, it looks like a banger DLC.
@@mrplayfulshade1038 Agreed. The fact they are forcing you to spend the same amount of money twice for ps5 and psvr2 just to play a VR mode that's exclusive to ps5 psvr2. I'm glad they're making the DLC free but man, the two items isn't worth the money.
@@nuggetclone8406hoddy dualshock controls. Controller-only. I’m really hoping H3 (Now titled Hitman: World of Assassination) will see a proper PSVR2 update, which is something I would enjoy alongside Village.
Plus horizon, GT7, No mans sky, Kayak, Firewall Ultra, Crossfire, Resident evil 4 to come. Plus the headset has only launched. A lot more to come yet. You can buy the PS5 and psvr2 for less than a valve index and psvr2 is higher resolution and better spec overall. It is fantastic tech for the price.
The VR Port Of Resident Evil 4 Was So Well Executed That Capcom Proceeded To Make A VR Port Of Resident Evil Village As Well It's A Shame I Can't Afford A PSVR2
@@darthvaderthegamecat just make it available for all. consoles always trying to lock something for exclusivity we paid just as much money as yall did vr wouldn't even be a thing without pc players testing all the broken headsets years ago just want everyone to enjoy this amazing game through vr
I waited all this time hoping they would do a VR version, and it seems to be even at least on par with the flat screen version. That's HUGE. I really hope they will do VR versions of ALL their next games: that's the experience I always looked for. Simple rigid pad interaction no more attracts me, and VR level of immersion, perception and interaction is unparalleled. Great job👍
@@SirPonnd it's a small detail, the color looked alittle off and alittle low res. I remember seeing a similar thing on the Switch version of MK11 with character's hair and finer details on the graphics. Not a real big deal but it still stuck out to me.
1 year later, I'm still happy waiting for this to come to PC. The best thing about being over 40, your just not going to impulsively run out and buy a ps5 plus psvr2 for a single title 🙅♂
I've been waiting for this ever since I finished RE7 on PSVR, haven't played village yet because it felt like after how amazing that was how could the next one NOT be VR?!?
However much sony is giving to make the VR version, if you just charge like $15 for the PC VR version (if you have the base game), I'm sure the majority of people who have this game and VR headset would get it, which would probably be not too far off from what Sony is offering.
I doubt it. Sony paid a lot to make RE7 in VR. And no doubt they did again for this. Don't think you have that many players on pc that would make up for that number
@@solid_justice5855 Maybe, but it might not be as low as you think. Number of reviews could be an ok estimate to compare the number of people who bought a game. Spider man remastered on pc has about 40k reviews, beat saber on pc has about 60k. If spiderman sold at least 300k copies on pc, beat saber is prob at 500k. If only 1/5 of those players buy the game, that's 100k*$15 = $1.5 million dollars. Should be more than enough to fund the development. And they can port to playstation as well, making them even more money.
@@97Crazysteve Sony does get a % of the games sold though. So they hope more people will buy it because of the VR mode. But that has nothing to do with what we where talking about anyway. Capcom is not going to port it to pc if they have to put time and money in it
Proper AAA made for VR. Some of the interactions look fantastic. Pulling flashlight from the coat. Popping the top from the medicine bottle, playing the piano, dual wielding, throwing knives, opening drawers and punching enemies. Oh and using zip lines. Sure there will be loads of other VR specific interactions we haven’t seen yet. PS5 and psvr2 for the price of a valve index is a fantastic deal.
So hyped to play this on the Psvr2. Already loved RE7 back then on the Psvr1 but this looks much better especially because we can use now the sense controller.
Hate it this exclusivity is nonsense every ps player is making the excuse right now that they don't have alyx and that's the reason we don't have this vr mode like really ps holds every game hostage
They always do a showcase about two weeks before the release of the game. I would expect a showcase around the 9th of March. Demo on the 10th. This would be completely consistent with previous launch demo releases.
When another RE game comes out, I sure hope if the main character is a female protagonist; that there’s a lot of replay ability to unlock a bunch of outfits for said character and good ones at that. Not the snooze fest skin like RE4 remake and past others. I’m not saying to make it super fan service…but there’s a reason why RE Village sold a lot of copies. It wasn’t just the story and gameplay, there’s another Giant reason and three other reason why it sold a lot. Why do you think there’s a ton of PC mods used on that one game alone?
Looks great but shame its not on PC... neither is the VR version of 7... and Resi 4 VR is on the android based Quest 2... why no love for the PC player base?
@@KRA_Z yeah thanks Sony for giving us atleast an official VR mode for RE. Without them this would not even exsist. RE7 was 1 year exclusive and Capcom did not bother to port it to pc, that is not on Sony
@@darthvaderthegamecat That's really annoying because PC players are getting locked out of content. The mods for pc suck ass and it just feels so wrong for them to add 3rd person and all the new stuff to PC but gatekeep VR for Playstation 5
@@mrplayfulshade1038 why can't every platform just get it this exclusivity bs sucks yall can have alyx I want everyone to enjoy it anyway just like I want to enjoy this the mod doesn't run bad at all thought just played it tonight had a blast thanks praydog
To answer your question Mag. Because without Sony this mode would not even exsist. Capcom does not care about VR. They got paid to make it. RE7 vr was 1 year exclusive but they never ported it to pc.
@@solid_justice5855 Bruh Sony owns the rights to Spiderman and you wonder why he's not in The Avengers... Cause Sony won't let Disney 🤣🤣 and look how that game turned out too... Also Sony has paid publishers to keep Final Fantasy and Silent Hill off Xbox... So who's the real anti consumer one least MS turned Bethesda around!! Look how many updates Fallout 76 finally got 😉
@@breakingbad6077 Sony only owns the right to the movies. Not the Spider-man games. Ff7 rebirth is on xbox. Only SH2 is timed exclusive. Stop acting like MS does not do this fanboy lol. The Medium was timed exclusive for xbox. They did more then a few timed exclusives with indie games like Tunic. High on life is xbox exclusive to and isn't by a MS studio. Good for MS that they turned that crap around, wish they could do the same for Halo
Now, if only Sony would quit being corpo-pigs and release this on PCVR for the larger VR community to enjoy... They're shooting themselves in the foot and calling it "exclusivity" for some ridiculous reason. I don't think their marketing people and producers realize just niche the VR scene really is.
lol why should Sony release a vr mode for a game that they did not make on pc? That is up to Capcom not sony. Maybe you should also ask why Meta keeps RE4 vr exclusive. It is all Capcom not willing to port it.
@Solid_Justice Sony pays devs to keep games exclusive to the platform. The problem is, this makes Sony a producer in some capacity, and thus, they have a say whether a game will hit other systems. It's not just Capcom. Sony has been holding a number of games hostage for years due to rights deals made a long time ago.
@@solid_justice5855 Capcom aren't the ones interested in VR, and wouldn't be pursuing VR if Sony aren't paying them to make exclusive VR versions of their games. Because Sony wants people to buy their headsets, and Meta did exactly the same thing with RE4 VR.
@@ravvij9643 RE7 VR was timed exclusive and never came to pc. You know why? Because Capcom does not care. Sony does not need to invest in a vr mode for pc
Why not just save up for one? If you could save up for a PS5, you could do the same for the PSVR2, right? I mean, I'm assuming you have a PS5 since you only mentioned getting the headset. Or you could get the far less expensive Quest 2 and play RE4 VR, which is also great.
