Or since we aren't shown (unless I somehow missed it) a day,month,year and time displayed, maybe the battle at the start of the video happens around a point in time when people are able to get cameras with both solar-powered options and seemingly endless storage/ram which would be amazing if that was the case, also it might be neat if the kid at the end is a future relative of the soldier, though in that case I'm not sure if it would be a good thing or bad thing for if the kid were to learn how to use the camera and watch the video to see what happened to the soldier.

Also the part of me mentioning the kid was just for the video itself also if the kid was to watch the video it would be bad cause of the battle but good cause the kid would hopefully learn what to avoid.

I agree that some worries are nothing more than fearmongering, but it's not always that. Some sort of nuclear exchange most likely, judging by the destruction, the fact no relief or clean up units came, and no one collected the bodies. The conflict was bad enough to send humans back to the stone age, but not destroy the planet outright.

But after they are gone, and after those who remember them are gone, it will be as though they never existed. Even when dead, a story is to be told. With every corpse, there is a reason, a tale to tell of its life, and how it may have died.

I 100% agree with the impossibility of the eyes lasting as long as shown in the animation. As for the camera, it's possible that these humans made some magically advanced technology that can make cameras last generations (I mean, the soldiers kind of look a bit futuristic). But it can also be just regular movie logic or something.
