Thanks a lot to share your important take on comedy and humor. Most people don't understand how cultural and political laughter is. As a french-canadian from Quebec, I'm glad to listen and learn from first nations and hope we can laught together building solidarity in acknowledgement.

You had me laughing here in the Osage land of Turtle Island, or the so called US. 🤣 I am continually learning from Indigenous people and culture and so grateful for the re-education. I wrote a paper in grad school on the role of humor in mental health and counseling; and Indigenous humor ended up becoming a centerpiece of the paper. Thanks for speaking!

I've read somewhere that the pre columbian native americans sense of humor was more like somebody falls over they laugh....someone eats a hot chili and panics they laugh at him.....I think the movie Apocalypto did a good job conveying it when one of the tribe members rubbed a burning plant matter on his you know what in an attempt to increase his fertility but it was a prank and the entire family laughed as he pranced around....

Thank you for the talk! Look forward to seeing more Indigenous humour and jokes. If anyone knows, what is the language called? And how do you spell the word or phrase for good life? I heard Menobomatsuwen but I'm pretty sure it's incorrect. Thanks!
