Nice video, you do a good job explaining the details. You mentioned that the water-based ink products don't blend well with the resin, which makes me wonder why acrylic paint is compatible with resin, but acrylic inks are not? Do you know? Things that make you go "Hmmm", LOL. Thanks for posting!
if u don't like the way the back looks.after the first lot is dry and before u add the resion can u colour the hole back then add resion?or if u add resion ink tho the resion will they dry as it is ment to or do the same thing not cure as well
Hi Annie Your video is really informative I torched bookmark mold so resin got stuck with the mold instead of curing in 12 hours 😌 So as u said it will ruin the mold !! So can I reuse the mold or not ?
You inspired me to try working with resin. Waiting for my starter pack 😍 and as a complete newbie I am wondering what did you used to sand the bookmarks?
It looks like she used a soft stone burr, I've never tried a stone on my resin, but I do have good results using sanding bands. There like a sleeve that fits over a drum attached to a mandrel. They come in many sizes and a variety of grits. I have also found that if I let my resin cure a couple days and then sand, a fine grit sandpaper does a beautiful job, quite easily I might add. Hope this helps. :-)
Btw .. BEST TIP EVER was to mix resin in a separate container let it sit and then torch bubbles which I usually do anyway but something changed structurally soo THANK U N I MISSED U AND I STILL CANT BELIEVE U QUIT!! MORE of u 2 watch!! Xoxo should have my bookmark molds by the beginning of the month!
