Thank you so much! I appreciate that 🥰 if I could make a suggestion? You can always dip your toes in the water gently by starting small/ using smaller molds so you don’t have to worry too much about “wasting” materials as I know resin can be pricey. So cool looks killer and a relatively easy process . After I watched the plate video , I mentioned this to my daughter but she was concerned about the resin fumes , doesn’t really look that toxic to me 🤷🏻. Anyhow , dig your crafts ! Been a long time fan but just recently got up on your craftiness . Smile and stay beautiful 😎RJ

Resin safety is definitely something to look into ! The resin I use claims to have no VOCs / is supposed to be safe to use and won’t give off fumes when used as directed. But it’s always important to work in a well ventilated space and use a respirator! Thanks for tuning in and letting me know your thoughts! I appreciate the support

Thank you! This lotus mold holds about 100 ml of resin so when I mix it I use 50ml of resin and 50ml of hardener. The resin I use is a 1:1 resin, I think most are, but check for the specific brand that you are using

Lovely design. I am going to try this. Does the resin melt when you light a tea light candle in the resin candle stand? Does the tea light flame cause any resin to melt or is the resin tough and hard enough not to melt?

Not much of a flower design person myself, I'd rather leave them attached to the plant in their natural environment, but the result is nice for a gift or something. Just, buying flowers on Amazon? I mean come on! Just take a walk in the wild. Cheaper and healthier.

That’s very true! These are the first flowers I’ve purchased online, usually I use flowers from my garden or local flower shops. I just liked the colors available and wanted to try something new.

@@t3sslark Fair enough. It's very easy to tint flowers any color you like, though. You just pour some ink in the water and split the bottom of the stalk with a knife for better absorption. I remember making some blue roses this way when I was a kid.
