Bought it right after I watched your review. Hard to pass up a ~$30 chance to try a glass pad equivalent. I am using a Raiden XSoft right now so I am sure I am in for a decent increase in speed. Great review as always!
Ya I got a Raiden in XSoft and this i's faster. With such a firm base it's quite fast. Enjoy it, well worth it for a cheap and different feel than most pads
dam i forgot about this pad wanted to try it out but forgot got the jet instead of the textureless feel if i dont like that def looking at this next i love speed pads(that arent glass)
can you please elaborate on "different style of speed" is there more/less dynamic friction than a skypad? it sounds quite gritty or catchy dose that translate to the feel at all? I am very interested in this pad and im going to do some more research on whether it would be a worthy replacement of a skypad 3.0
It's very similar is what I'm trying to say I wouldn't rate the dynamic/static friction more or less on either . The difference is really more of a textural and material feel. If you like very fast pads you'll get used to the subtleties of either. Yes the SpeedM is louder sounding and a bit harder in "feel" due to the texture so you may prefer the SkyPADs smoother surface as a preference. Also the Skypad is larger so the extra room may be better for your style of play
@@UpgradeLemonade ahh okay thats awesome thank you. i might stick with the skypad as i love how if feels "soft" because of the texture. but im definitly going to keep an eye out for when it becomes available in my region (probably going to be forever) to give it a go
Mmmm I generally don't recommend glass skates on hard surfaces like this, could wear the glass or skates. PTFE is recommended, plus much cheaper to replace
i mean it would depend what the price of pads like skypad/ fnatic jet / wraith / superglide etc cost in your area. if its still cheaper than all those then ya it really is super nice.
7:26, you really should not be making assumptions like this as a reviewer. why not just say that time will tell if this pad lasts. other than that a good video :)
Ya that's a fair point honestly, generally hard surfaces wear better than cloth with PTFE feet but it could run into similar issues like my Xten pad. So fair enough, and thanks for watching the vid 🍻
