This is a great machine. I love mine. I put a silicone air fryer tray inside to catch any overflow. I have the machine sitting in another tray to keep it from moving all over my table. The tumbler you showed is absolutely gorgeous!!
I saw Duncan did a video on that machine and he had the same issues with lots of bubbling. He also mixed a smaller amount like we would normally mix for a tumbler. It was a little less bubbling but never got it clear. Interesting to see your results.
I have an old seal a meal that has an attachment to vacuum seal jars and containers. I think I might try this with that attachment. Set my epoxy in its cup inside a jar with the special lids that hook to the attachment.
I'm glad you used Flynn Sister's epoxy. I have this machine and just bought a bunch of the Flynn Sister's Epoxy myself. I was wondering how it would react. Maybe I'll have to mix less in the cup to allow more room for overflow? I also like the machine. It does work. I did notice; however, it seems to shorten the working time somewhat.
I made something very similar to this about a year ago with a small vacuum pump, a lock n lock container, some hose, and a one-way valve. Mine takes about 6 to 7 minutes to remove the bubbles and has been a big time saver for me.
I love that tumbler! Although a witch would have been nice. 😉 I wish I could get one of those machines. Was it a nightmare to clean out the resin that overflowed in the unit? Thank you - good to see you back? ❣️
So far I have seen this same machine on a few other videos and most of the time is doesn’t work. Glad you got a good result but I wouldn’t spend money on something you can get rid of with a heat gun.
