Wish this game was remade on the PS4

In my opinion, the best resistance game by far. That survival feel and the more open stages really made the difference. Such a shame this is the last...

Still would have liked it more if it had the same "mystery" aspect the first one had and the diversity the second one had. The thirth one was more a shoot and run game. I hope if it ever makes it to a 4th game, it will have those things again.

Never played myself but I bought all 3 of these games for yes. My 66 year old grandpa whom said just from watching the first games trailer and I quote “that looks badass”. He just finished the first one in about 3-4 days he’s already onto the second and he’s loving them.

Remaster! Make it happen! And bring back the multiplayer! I will buy a ps4 or a Ps5 if you decide to wait that long!

I'm a huge fan of both Insomniacs work and the story and universe of Resistance. I'll definitely be buying this first day.

@aeternostenet 1. The jumper is probably just a more developed version of earlier slipskull, like how the brawler is developed from earlier titans. 2. The armor kept them cold. They don't really need it to protect them, because they can regenerate. Maybe they can regenerate faster in the cold climate. 3. I haven't seen what you're asking for, but the game is out now. You should get it and find out for yourself. Can't go wrong with this title.

Oh...fuck...the Widowmakers are back? Those things were the bane of my existence in Fall of Man. Thanks Insomniac, that's just what I need.

Best game but not famous!

1:24 Kick-Ass Chimera!

I have 3 questions (hopefully someone who was involved in the game's production can answer them). 1. you...wanted to make jumping chimera?...isn't that what a slipskull was? 2. so the hybrids took off their armor which helped prevent injuries because it was getting colder? why didn't they keep it on? 3. with what I've seen from the trailers so far, I'm going to assume there will be fights with several gigantic enemies at the same time e.g. widowmaker and stalker. How accurate is this idea?

@evlmonke I agree completely. Both are great games, but I think Resistance has maintained a slight edge throughout the first two installments. We'll see what happens with the third. Hopefully both games are great and worthy of 9+/10 reviews.

@mygamingz The mass effect series is no longer exclusive, neither is the fable series. Oh and Fable 1 was on the original xbox. Dead rising isn't a exclusive either it's on the Wii. So all you've got is Crack down 1 and 2

What the game makers need to do here is make a game that while mimicking real world appearance, also mimics real world physics, ergo slowing down the animation to match those physics according to proper mass of objects while speeding up frame rate for a more realistic polish..also having the possibility of aliens' dead bodies falling on you and pushing your character back, tipping his balance, instead of just exploding, not just cutting corners to get a game out for money making.

Then download Adblock plus. The advertisments are here so that we do not have to pay a subscription to youtube. Or would you rather pay to be able to watch? Keeping a lot of servers and server space online 24/7 costs quite a lot of money you know.

@Flee4me Do people still play the old Xbox exclusives? Beause a lot of people still play old playstation ones. Metal Gear Solid 4 is 5 years old now and a large amount of people still play it. To be honest most games die out around that time

@kefka46tx I fail to see the similarities between Resistance 3 and Gears of War OR Uncharted. Maybe games like Halo or Call of Duty but Uncharted? Please explain if you have a good reason for making this comparison.

@EchoLenix While I agree with the point your making and I am a PS3 owner (traded in my 360 for one), I have to point out that the PS3 never got Mass Effect, only Mass Effect 2, and the Mass Effect series was already on the PC, it was never a 360 exclusive, same with Bioshiock and Lost Planet, they were already on PC too

I'm going to get this game that comes bundled with the small 24" 3D display playstation TV! Finally a 3D TV that I got room for (thanks to the small size) that's actually very cheap and comes with a great game and 3D glasses! I can't wait for that.

actually, joseph is a super-soldier that rivals the strength of a hybrid, refer to r2, nathan's squad are all such super-soldiers of which i cant remember the actual name for such super-soldiers, in a nutshell, joseph is one of many commandos vaccinated against the Chimeran virus, the vaccine somehow gave them superhuman strength, healing, speed, stamina, and so on, much like hale, who, in r1, had genetic material from the chimera placed in his genes

@360Eagle I am a PS3 fan. And yet, I am nothing like you say. I am not arrogant, nor am I a fan boy. I'm actually a little envious of 360 owners, because they get to experience great-looking games like Gears of War and Halo that us PS3 owners can't play. Not all PS3 players are as you say, with tacoman being an obvious exception. One of my oldest friends of ten years owns a 360, and I have to say, having had time with both consoles, I say they're both just as good as the other.

I love resistance from the very first game Paid full price for the previous game and I have no worries with paying retail again Insomniac games deserves every cent :)

im really into this now since ill be getting the game with the 3d monitor... just like i used to not care about KZ3 until i got my playstation KZ3 edition and ended up loving the multiplayer and the graphics. So far this game looks really good tho the reason im buying the monitor is uncharted 3

@HareyMon I just feel like it's useless to keep fighting over them when it won't be able to change the fact that they're both great games. Saying "Resistance is gay" or "Queers of War sux" won't change that they're both Triple AAA titles that will sell millions of copies.

This game grew on me before it was released.. To be honest it seems like the most interesting resistance of all.. It seems like a blend of 1 and 2 plus with good graphics for once (still not the series' strenght though)

I have this game :) Believe me when I say, "They REALLY improved this game". I liked the first two, but this one is just more polished, and creative!

@kefka46tx Why? Because their plots and atmosphere are very similar. Not the same genre? They are both shooters so they are the same genre, doesn't matter FPS or 3PS they are both shooters. Then you say it's more comparable to Uncharted which is a 3PS so your pretty much contradict yourself.

@XretardedlyawesomeX Yes, most of them are relatively old, but so are the ones "Daibron" mentioned. And I'm pretty sure that list on wikipedia is up to date, so all of the games that are now multiplatform have been removed from that list.

@kefka46tx a sci-fi fps compares better to a tomb raider clone than it does to a sci-fi tps ? the reason people compare the two is cause they're both about killing invading aliens, and they're both launch titles, thats where the similarities end, so i agree theres no point comparing the two, but its worse comparing it to uncharted

this looks like a bloody good time. but i think im going to have to miss it. as there is to many games coming out in november/october. its a shame that im going to have to turn down one of the series that started my PS3.

@SlatesAwesomeness I think Killzone is Sony's Halo counterpart (Halo Wins btw). The only thing they have in common is the fact that they are both FPS's. I personally prefer the PS3 over the Xbox (I have both).

@michaelbryant21 It really makes no sense. Aside from the presence of aliens (although the Chimera are only half since they are converted from humans), these games are really nothing alike.

Now with the wormhole closed the Chimera are screwed, but with Malikov dead so are the humans.

Hope they have a co-op mode similar to CODs zombies. THAT would maker it a must buy for me.

@jimmyramosf7 No, but i think if given the right direction and a good amount of time games could be much further evolved or more intricate then what they are today.

So... Insomniac Games aint gonna do Resistance 4, but instead they're getting a different games developer to do it for them, my guess is they might get Nihilistic Software (Resistance Burning Skies) or maybe even SCE Bend Studio (Resistance Retribution) or maybe both of them, I hope one of them make Resistance 4 really good! :D

Well, on topic with the game, I can honestly sense some L4D influence in this. I mean, the "aborted" ones act like zombies, and the Brawler is essentially a Tank from L4D.
