Such an underrated game that took some “questionable leaps” in the sequels but still fun all around

IM still fucking amazed how graphics get better and better. I Bought a ps3 on launch day and this game was with it. I remember shooting the glass in windows and being amazed that you could shoot separate shards lol

I used to get so nervous playing this game. Hahaha. But man, was this game so fun! The story is so good. I used to play this with my sister; couch co-op. I was sad when I found out that they took off the couch co-op in 2&3. My sister enjoyed this game too.

This game was unique for so many reasons. firstly, while alien invasions during the 1950s are no new idea, instead of tripods or aliens with a design that looks like what we thought aliens would look like during that time, they went and invented an entirely new alien. I like the idea of a virus turning people into alien soldiers like a zombie plague, but turning you into a monster is only the beginning. you then pick up alien guns and start blasting other humans. like the Flood from Halo when they turned you into a monster, and if you happened to be holding a gun when it happened, they turn that weapon on your former allies. but even if the Chimeran army won in the end, they are all ultimately disposable. the Pure Chimera don't care. they just want the Earth. the virus is to create soldiers to terraform the planet for them. It's unlikely to happen, but I'd love to see a reboot of this.

My father bought the ps3 a few months after it released, the first gem ps3, got the yellow light and got another one, didn’t have much money for games so I had a blast just replaying the same demos over and over until I was finally able to buy a game, resistance: fall of man, the multiplayer was awesome and I finished the story more than 3 times. Then resistance 2 came out and that just blew my mind at the time, really wish they’d remaster this. :/

You all realize that this was whole thing is based on a true story right? Look up 'Siberia 1908' a meteor did crash back than, and ever since then Siberia has been known for it's dark and creepy stories.

Almost beat a hacker at free for all. He almost had 300 wins no losses. It was the small snow lvl. He moved underground and popped up on places you normally cant get to. He asked me to leave after that game ha.

0:40 Is that an updated version of Resistance? When I saw the trailer, it shows the modern map of Europe not the 1936 one. The 1936 map makes more sense since the game takes place in 1951 and in this world World War 2 never happened.

This makes me really curious about the war within Russia's borders. It took the Chimera decades to envelope Russia, but only months to overwhelm Western Europe. Commies versus aliens. It must've been an epic fight to the finish.
