In this video I share how we use Notion to resolve team tensions and have internal team discussions to streamline and reduce the number of communication channels like email and slack.
The Tensions database has been a super helpful addition to our team workflows!
We add tensions asynchronously throughout the week, and resolve any outstanding tensions during our weekly team sync meeting.

Thanks for sharing, Marie! I can see this working for a small business. I like the idea of discussing and fixing an “issue” within a single page. Larger enterprise companies would typically use a ticketing platform (JIRA, Remedy, etc.) for something like this and Slack for channel discussions, automation, escalations, and updates. Too, quick pings to internal team members is a must in the enterprise world.

Love it, and I do believe it could work in many minds of teams…even for myself while I am brainstorming or waiting on conceptual input from others . Your hair looks fabulous! Whenever I cut my hair, suddenly all my online course videos feel out of date haha started pulling my hair back in pony tails so it is not easily recognized chronologically

I don't have this as a template - it's just a page with two columns: Actions on the left, Tensions on the right. One of the reasons i dont share this is that most people already have a primary task database, so it adds confusion to create a secondary one, as folks often aren't sure how to merge the two. Can make a simple tutorial to show how to design dashboards though!

I don’t mind making it myself following along. I have purchased a few templates from you and love them! We seems to think alike and I know it would work well for me and my biz. You always get notified if you use the "person" property and assign someone a tension.

This is great. But where can I find the template? I looked at your notionmastery page and couldn't find it (and there is no search button, which would be nice...). I am trying to use Notion to replace slack 'channels'. So I envisioned having a tensions database for each area of our work (e.g., Social Media, Website, etc)...I'm obviously fairly new to Notion, and appreciate your help! (And yes, your hair *does* look fabulous!)

I would definitely not create more than one tensions database - you want to use the same database, and use a tag (or relation) for categories. Then you can filter the database in different ways across those different departments. I personally think its always best to build your database from scratch (vs using a template) and integrate with your existing databases (Actions/Tasks, etc) but may consider making a template available in the future.
