Thank you for this interesting video. I continue using individual resources and I would like to learn what it is the big difference you get using crews instead.
Hello Mr Michael, I am thankful for your this tips and tricks for resource loading, i had an querry related to labor CREW, The crew is considered as a group of people which consists more than a one individual. If a Max Units/Time is 8h/d is for one welder, then the 1 crew consisting of 3 welders will be 3*8 = 240h/d OR it will be remain same 8h/d?
So good and trustworthy material on this channel. Well done! I do have one question, my default units / time on resource only shows as 1.00d/d and not the h/d. I have tried everything to fix this and nothing seems to work. I would love some help on this. 🙏
Go to Edit -> User Preferences -> Time Units -> Change Unit of Time to Hour, once you do that, refresh P6, and you will be able to see the default units in Hrs/d
How about loading of indirect and Direct Manpower in Primavera? Is it necessary to add the indirect Manpower loading? If needed, how to handle our indirect overhead Manpower in resources loading and cost loading.? Please help me!
Indirect manpower hours can be captured on special activities - Level of Effort (www.planacademy.com/level-of-effort-faq/) or WBS Summaries. These activities are not work activities, but still span large sections of the project and you can assign your resources to them - explained here -> www.planacademy.com/high-level-resourcing/
