Once an application is scheduled onto a node, it starts consuming node resources. And it's not just one application that gets deployed to the K8s cluster. So we should be extra cautious when deploying our application to K8s such that our application uses computing resources like CPU, Memory wisely, and our application performs well and doesn't impact other applications.
In this video, we'll learn:
1. How to make sure our application gets guaranteed resources using Requests
2. How we can restrict memory for an application using Limits
3. What QoS is
4. How to set a minimum, maximum, and default resources for pods in a namespace using LimitRange
5. How to limit the resources in a namespace using ResourceQuota
And needless to say, we'll learn everything with complete Hands-on!

Hello Pavan, Superb Explanation. How do we know which pod needs how much of cpu or memory. I mean 1-> 'who' defines or says that 2-> And how do they decide/come to a conclusion (on what basis) to define that certain pod needs this much of memory and cpu.

Hii Pavan .can you guide me how can configure ingress nginx for two nodes and 1 master. How can node2 services communicate with node1 service and configure ingress nginx for two different nodes. Thanks you

Hi Usman, it doesn’t matter how many nodes you have for ingress

Dear sir In that example of an over-committing state as both the pods are of burstable class. Which pod is going to be killed by k8's

Could you please elaborate your question please?

Thank You Sir for your Response The example was, there were two pods both having the same memory requests as well both have the same limits also. Both pods are of Burstable class. But the total limit is more than the resources available in the node. Memory:- Pod1- 3Gi request, limit - 6Gi, actual use - 3Gi Pod2- 3Gi request , limit - 6Git, actual use - 6Gi Nodes capacity - 8Gi memory As both pods are of burstable class,How k8s will decide that pod2 is going to be killed
