this sort of thing happens to me on a daily basis, when it comes to hanging out irl or just playing a game with someone. if you sometimes think that you’re overreacting in this situations, yes will never be the answer; because you’re basically taking a chunk out of your own free time so that everything will go out smoothly once you set up the event. it’s a forgiving moment, yet super heartbreaking.

Man I know how it feels. The big thing is how some of my friends do make plans, but I do have a problem with being late sometimes by around 5 minutes. Usually I get replaced extremely fast and end up playing alone. I have been doing better and finding time, but unfortunately, my friend group consists of 4 people, and I’m kinda tied as 3rd best friend

I got the same, we were planing to play after school and then in the afternoon i was the only one that had time, so i started playing singleplayer, minecraft undertale subnautica or ener the gungeon and board games with family, and then i changed it again and start making animation and learning for my dream work, but now im sure that im not wasting anybodys time like they did to me. I experienced this too a lot before. It feels so disrespectful and hurts but no one would take you serious about it. I stopped this from happening to me by never waiting on people and always having backup plans if they flake. Most importantly is to stand up for yourself and tell them not to waste your time. If they don’t respect your time then they don’t respect you.

This is a great topic and I've personally felt this too! It's about managing expectations, on both sides. If something then comes up, that gets communicated, and then a new plan emerges. Easier said then done, for sure lol but all we can do is try. Wish you luck on a peaceful resolution with your friend !

I've had this happen to me many times. It always feels awful when it does, because it sorta feels like that friend is saying "I don't like you and want to hang out with these people instead." I know that that's not the case 90% of the time but it definitely hurts. But, I have also had times where I've not respected people's time. I have very bad ADHD and often forget stuff like that... but that's still not an excuse for it really. It is very frustrating when it happens to you though. Sorry to hear it did, and I hope you're able to work it out with that friend. I doubt they meant harm by it

I’ve learned to stop holding people to the same standards that you hold yourself to. I think that when it comes down to it, some people just aren’t punctual.like some people just don’t have certain value don’t hold certain values close to themselves like like you or others so sometimes you just gotta allow people to be themselves and be understand and be joyful when people show their true colors.

I 100% agree alot of the time I ask my homies if they're down to play and we plan it up and it ends up with them playing with others or on with something else, so Iv just been solo queing. But out of context idk if its just me but this type of video is soothing in a way, Kinda feels like im an ear for a homie looin for more vids like this ngl

Ive been watching ur vids for a while man ,and i have to say i really enjoy these deeper vids of yours , especially that i relate to them ,reminded me of when i used to hangout with people but theyd change plans or like not prioritize me to hang out with other people,i found out that sometimes you have to have some self respect and find people that respect you as much as you respect them

This has happened to me one too many times, so I’ve gotten to the point where I just have stopped making plans with people.

Of course, I don't know the full situation, but it seems like you're quite annoyed. My approach to dealing with such matters is to maintain a calm demeanor and communicate with others to see if the issue persists. Sometimes you just have to let go. I feel that so hard... i wars in a discord Server for 4 Jears and after Jear 1 they treadet me more and more like the "un wanted" and i just gave up on this unrespecting peoples ....but im happy to Say that i only spending time with people that are Willing to Do So .
