First they BELIEVE, this is like auditions or tryouts. After they believe if they don’t OBEY they will not be given the HOLY SPIRIT. In other words: without OBEDIENCE they are cut from the roster and they never even know it. They then become the foolish virgins and weeds. The foolish virgins ALL fall away and miss the bridegroom just moments before he comes. Matthew 13 says of the weeds and wheat “Let then ALL grow up together UNTIL THE HARVEST” So, many are called few are chosen. And to further my point, the scripture saids you can drink any deadly it want hurt you or just randomly take up serpents. Again notice how it was written it said serpent’S not a serpent. What Marcus is deceived believing the content by the word BELIEVE is being used in the same content. The believe in Acts 19 is only bring attention to those that BELIEVE under John baptism was not in effect. Paul raised the question pertaining to the Holy Ghost since they believed? Paul knew that the state these disciples were in they did not have the INDWELLING of the Holy Ghost. This is why he told them that they needed to baptized. When you can understand Acts 2:38 how you receive the Holy Ghost then you would understand the importance of Acts 19, which you would read later. And to show you more of what Marcus refused to mention in Acts 2:38 he only mentioned three acts but theirs a lot more in that scripture when taught properly it’s extremely important to understand. Now when Marcus read Acts 2:38 but when you teach falsely your deception ships over vital information. This is how Acts 2:38 should be rightly divided: Peter answer the question of those Jews asked in vs37 they ask what shall we do? This is how it should be taught; he told them to 1. Repent/change of mind, 2. To be baptized/water baptism now you have to explain what does in the name of Jesus Christ mean. When it said in the name etc it’s talking about: by the authority/character of Christ that’s the meaning, then it continues by say when you are baptized in the name you have to explain why. For the remission of sins, what does this mean: when you are baptized this is where a sinners sins are forgiven. Remission means forgiveness. Then it goes on to say theirs something you will receive when you are baptized. The scripture said and you SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST read Acts 22:16. Your sins are washed away when you are baptized. This verse of scripture is one continues thought. It’s false teaching if you decide to only mention 3 when theirs more to learn why it’s important to repent and be baptized etc. Marcus is unable to teach sound doctrine his teachings are all over the place hoping something sticks. I too received the gift of tounges and I saw this woman on Facebook and she was talking about it I was so eager to receive the gift and I prayed long enough to Gif about this she led me into it and it felt let a ball of fire off my toungue and I felt filled in my belly. I remember a woman who watched as I went through this and said " she's praying for her family, some things grieve me about my family but I thank God for granting me that, but sometimes I doubt is this even real

Speaking in tongues is a gift available to all believers, but not all believers receive this gift. If you choose not to receive it, it does not make you less of a Christian, but you are missing out on a beautiful and powerful gift.

The reason Jesus said "These signs shall follow them that believe...and they shall speak with new tongues" is because "Only those believing can receive the Holy Ghost" and according to scripture EVERY PERSON WHO RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST RECEIVED IT WITH EVIDENCE. Its no wonder a gifts of the Holy Spirit is Prophecy and Speaking and tongues, and yet those are the only evidence I see in the Bible when people receive the Holy Ghost.
The Todd preacher GOT to be scripturally ignorant. Maybe have a case of selective reading? I'm sure he can read and can tell WHO said these signs shall follow those who believe. Marcus keeps on saying, know God for yourself. And you can't know God if you don't see and understand Him in His scriptures/word/bible. For example, one asian grace preacher said. God can't look at sin. But Ezekiel chapter 8 says different.

Brother Marcus. I was baptised last winter here in Australia, of course your summer. Anyway the church had completely told, straight from the pasters mouth that I did not have repent. Of course I wanted to repent as many sins as I could remember, but he said it didn't matter. I was confused and before I knew it he held my nose and dipped me in the pool saying in the of the Father, the Son and Holy spirit. I never felt the Holy spirit. I never felt anything shift. Plus the paster told me that speaking tongues was a You Tube thing ppl do for views. Now I thank you for teaching me to look in the Bible for myself and learn the TRUTH. Praise Jesus

I had a best friend who apperently is a spiritual Christian. She would speak in tongues. Guess what it wasn't speaking in tongues. I found out that she was a witch. And does witchcrafts. It's all makes sense. She would go to the dark woods to pray to God she would tell me. Come home stunk like alcohol. With so much evil presence with her. She could even see whats somebody else is doing even though she wasn't even in the same room with them. She even knew what would come in the future. Everytime she would speak in tongues to the body of Christ. She was preying not praying. She was casting spells. Her speaking in tongues sounded aweful, so forceful and weird. Yes she knew the bible verses. Her mission was to destroy the church. She was always hanging with the Christians and destroying their lives secretly. I thought she was really a Christian. Until I let her stayed over at my place because she needed a place to stay. I saw the darkness in her and in my house that was never there. I started having weird dreams what she was up to. God saved me. I kicked her out of my house. It was the best decision of my life. I had freedom and God's peace in my life. From being my best friend, she's gone and never contact me. And she deleted all my contacts. Praise be God. Be careful outthere. The devil can pretend to speak in tongues. Her mission was to destroy me slowly and take me out of God's way. By telling me all the time what God is telling her to tell me what not to do. I love pastor Mike's message. From my experiences everything makes sense. Watch his whole series before you judge.👌🏿

Even though Marcus didn't use Mike's whole video, I do believe he used this particular clip to further lead us back to the Word to study the scriptures for ourselves. I've heard so many times by different people that you aren't truly saved if you don't speak in tongues and I previously believed that speaking in tongues was not really necessary without interpretation. After studying the same scriptures Marcus mentioned, and praying for some time, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that praying in the spirit is an awesome gift that does not require interpretation. I can't explain what it feels like to now be able to pray in tongues. It is beyond the limits we often place on God and don't even realize. Yep. I repented, baptized myself at home in the tub(couldn't wait). I didn't have a plan or even knew why I decided to do that.. I hadn't read the Bible yet. Next day I woke up and everywhere I went people started sharing all their problems with me to a point where it was getting super unusual! I finally reached out to a Christian friend who explained I was baptized in Holy Spirit and to pray for them. 🔥 God is so good.

Right. I feel like they hammered Mike Todd on this post. I listen to both men from time to time. But I feel like everyone here didn’t check out Mike Todd’s full sermon. Mike did touch on the necessity of speaking in tongues and said he’ll get to it. But for now he wanted to dismantle a certain way of thinking for ppl to think, for example, ppl like you (and me when I first received salvation) who didn’t get it all at once. My salvation, HG baptism, and evidence of speaking in tongues were all separate. I don’t necessarily think they are teaching a “different thing” on both ends.. I think they just prematurely hammered him lol. Sheeesh. Anyway, keep growing in the faith!

I'm not trying to be cheeky. But Nobody said speaking in tongues is the evidence of salvation. It's the evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit. That's the difference. Bible says building yourself in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Whether some like it or not. Scripturally and in reality. Praying in tongues is building, builds the believer. And it doesn't build you lower but higher in the spiritual realm. But that doesn't mean there should be like an elitist attitude, or have bad ways or not being friendly or kind. But it does mean that the new inner man in Christ Jesus. Understands, discerns, recognizes, us more sensitive and pliable for the Holy Spirit to use powerfully in both His gifts and fruits. And the holy calling on a believer's life. In fact the calling of the believer's life can be more identified a bit more simpler and easier because once the believer is baptized in the Holy Spirit. He or she can hear God more easier. It reduces the guess work. But that still doesn't mean once baptized in the Holy Spirit that one should neglect bible reading, praying, being like Christ Jesus ALL around. Not just in character, also power and authority. Because that's what the Kingdom of God is about defeating the kingdom of darkness with the power/finger of God. And the power to count it all joy going through any kind of hardships, situations with persecutions and the power to endure through all of it. As well as endure to the end in the faith without being easily offended by anyone's comments or anything done to you (or any true believer). That's true spiritual strength to laugh, enjoy life and be laser focused in the midst of going through difficulties. Because you know who God is, and who you are both scripturally and especially in reality or experientially. Because God is always good, just, ALWAYS righteously fair, always for truth and ⚖️ justice, always merciful, always faithful, always Holy and perfect. You are to that point like Job and Apostle Peter. I'm believing and trusting in God. I've got nowhere to go but God. Now that's real warrior mentality, attitude, commitment, passionate 🔥 fire. Because you know that you know God is your life and have the words of life, wise strategies to get you out or go through anything. And you coming out stronger, wiser, so that you be a blessing to others. To help them teach, empower and encourage them when they go through the same things you already passed through. That's what needed. Believe it or not.
You posted a video a minute ago talking about how tongues was a free gift and to just receive it. Before that video I was asking God why I didn’t speak in tongues if it was evidence of the Holy Spirit (with me knowing He lives in me) I was confused. He told me to watch your video. I felt a peace come over me after watching it. The next day I started speaking in tongues because I simply received it by faith. Thank you for all your vids brother. @Talisha Speaking in tongues just means speaking in another language that needs to be interpreted. That's it and that's all. Not what you see people mumble in the churches or outside of a church today. And the Holy spirit is wisdom.
I watched these sermons all the way through, I believe Pastor Todd wanted us all to know how important it is to speak in tongues. He also is going to have next week's sermon focusing solely on that.
Exactly Pastor Todd never say not to pray in tongues they missed his whole message. Pastor Todd encouraged people that their are other gifts of Holy Spirit beside speaking in tongues.

Marcus Rogers - You should have listened to Michael Todd's entire message. He NEVER said or alluded to speaking in tongues was not important. He's has a whole series on this. You're sowing seeds of division just for clicks!! You literally just made a video just because you didn't like the way it was delivered....it was biblical so what is the problem?. You can create a video teaching on this topic without raising suspicion of another Pastor just because you don't like his delivery. Some people don't like your delivery, but will listen to Michael Todd. Who cares as long as they are getting the word of God with accuracy. You were wrong for this one brother.
I gotta say I agree with you sis. It’s really sad that churches and pastors pressure people to speak in tongues, and then try to tell them that they’re not saved or “real” Christians if they don’t. It’s a GIFT. I’m sick of it fam. I grew up Apostolic/Pentecostal my whole life and I thank God that He’s finally teaching me what’s right.
I love Marcus and have followed him for a while but your comment needs more attention. No one is perfect and obviously Marcus messed up here. Michael Todd was talking about the evidence of the Holy Spirit. Everything he said was right. There’s a lot of believers that don’t have the Holy Spirit.
Since the clip from Michael Todd’s message was not played I am not sure of the point but I will share this, warlocks pray in tongues, once people get tongues as a gift and get fleshly I have seen them and heard them speak in tongues (the gift does not get revoked) I have also received revelation that some who pray in tongues are making mockery (because they are living a double life yet in public praying in tongues) of heaven. So once again not sure of the point intended but tongues is not a definite indicator that a person is living a holy life and has the Holy Ghost.

SPEAKING IN TONGUES IS A REAL THING FOR US BELIEVERS but, at the same time to be able to see if a person is filled with the Holy Spirit that person needs to hold EVERY Characteristics of the spirit and not only just speaking in tongues. The evidence that a person is filled with the Holy Spirit is the fruit that they carry not simply just speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is a Beautiful gift 💝 but it is not the only evidence. Remember you read in mark 16:17-18 - And these signs shall follow them that believe. The word "Signs" is plural not singular

But what about 1 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 29 and 30 Marcus? It says not all receive the gifts of tongue? I want to speak in tongues and I pray that God gives me that gift but it says in these verses that not all receives the gift of tongues
I’ve been trying to rightly divide the Bible on this subject for quite a while now. Some of the greatest men of God around me including my grandfather preach the same doctrine. It hurts me and I have every right to go on and believe what they preach but you cannot tell me Eph 1:13 doesn’t convict you like it did to me. We receive the Holy Spirit and are SEALED after believing the gospel of our salvation! You cannot tell me that isn’t comforting to those who are distressed! Of course, the filling of the Holy Spirit is another subject. I’m just a nobody pointing to what God is saying in his word.
What we understand of speaking in tongues as our prayer language and personal language with God is for everyone. There are different kinds of tongues that actually come as another gift, and that is what might not be for everyone. I give prophetic tongues and interpret, but I notice the difference between that and my personal tongue. If it brings us closer to God, wouldn't He want everyone to have it? ❤️

Paul makes it clear not all will get this gift, in fact he says "desire spiritual gifts specially prophecy. He says I rather that you all prophecy, because prophesying is greater" he explains that if someone speaks in tongues there must be an interpretation so that everyone may be edified. But what we must read is that we must desire spiritual gifts and understand we might not get tongues but the gift the Holy Spirit will gives us the one you want to posses!
Exactly, had to explain that to someone who believed that I was not saved or had Holy Spirit for not being able to speak tounges. This is what happens when people have an attachment to their spiritual gifts and forget God gives and deals with everyone differently.

I’ve had many dreams and visions and visitations. I’ve been dreaming since I was a little girl. I used to always feel like I was having what they call deja vu until the Lord touched me in 2014 and gave me all the dreams of the time we are in. God is real. The Holy Spirit is real. I had dreams before I was baptized so that’s why I have confidence that the baptism is by the Holy Spirit and God decides.

Funny the pressure of speaking in tongues growing up was so heavy n felt since I hadn't spoken in tongues I felt like I wasn't a God enough Christian. I now know it will happen in Gods timing but also when I have truly help from everything n give everything to God. That is a prosperity gospel message that Jesus never preached. In fact Jesus said just the opposite about His true followers. Jesus said His true followers will be persecuted for their faith in Him. Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake John 15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. Also, don’t be fooled by those who tell you that you must do works or certain things in order to be saved. that is a false message and takes the focus off of Christ and what He did for you. Galatians 2:21 “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Works come from the Holy Spirit after we trust and put our faith in Jesus. Faith comes before works, not the other way around. If anyone’s message to you is focused on anything but Christ, that is someone that I would question and be skeptical about. Someone telling you to keep certain rules/rituals/commandment in order to be saved is adding to the work that Christ did for you and is a false teaching. Christ is sufficient and nothing should be added for our salvation. Christ is enough 2Corinthians 12:9 “my grace is sufficient for you” Colossians 2:10 “and in Him you have been made complete”

I’ve been trying to pray in tongues . I repented , did everything even fast . Brother Klaus told me it will happen perfecting timing but I’ve been waiting for a year now.
Don't stress. That is the opposite of faith. It could be possible you need to do some house cleaning or it could be a faith issue. Some people don't feel good enough or worthy.... but none of us are worthy. Also.... the Holy Spirit isn't going to grab your tongue and slap it around. You surrender your tongue in faith and just receive it. I have never met someone who wanted it and didn't get it. The problem is they are usually over thinking it. You just receive it in faith.

I was anxious then the enemy started attacking my mind telling me that I wasn't deserving, then one day I was sitting at home in my living room and it just came as I was praying about something totally different. I don't believe that Michael Todd said or believed anything wrong or incorrect. He just spoke about the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit and spoke on how you don't have to beat yourself up if you don't speak in tongues. There is alot of condemnation in the church for folk who do NOT speak in tongues. He also said that this upcoming Sunday the ENTIRE message will be on speaking in tongues

Sorry but if the Bible says with out utterances then that what it means. It doesn’t say utterances of a heavenly tongue. Jude says pray in the Spirit and I agree but it has nothing to do with tongues. And on Pentecost all the people heard in their own language because tongues is for reaching the lost, not just to speak a language of Heaven. Those that heard could now understand the message of the gospel. Tongues is real but is a gift and the Holy Spirit give different people different gifts.

Yes, why do they do this? Come for other Christians....no one has come out in the public eye meaning mainstream ..telling Christians they need the Holy Ghost. I think both of you were speaking very similar things, I think what Mike was getting at were those who judged others who do not yet speak in tongues yet, thus discouraging many young believers who do want to earnestly grow in Christ. It seemed he was getting at how some would speak in "tongues" to look Holy, versus those who are really speaking with God. I also agree with you as well, both of your deliveries are a bit different, however they appear to be 2 sides of the same coin. Both very valid reasons, it could be just the route of audience both of you are reaching that's how he got it. But he did say that anyone listening could get a stronger/ clearer/ different revelation of what he preaches. He shared that he doesn't want to be the end-all-be-all to what people received from God. In other words, don't get your spiritual food only from the pastor/ speaker. Hopefully that didn't come off confusing. I know you said people sent the video to you, I'm unsure on how much you got from it, but I know for sure there was a lot that he said that is possible you didn't get.

Brother Rogers you sir are clearly taking scripture out of context. Mark is specifically speaking about the apostles; not every Christian as this was the establishment of the early church. We have to take scripture in context sir.
1 Corinthians 12:11 says the spirit gives gifts as he pleases. Which i find confusing because that means not everyone will receive the same gifts. So it must mean not everyone will speak in tongues?
It is not confusing having the gift of prophesy (being a prophet) is not the same as a believer prophesying... Like wise with tongues, every believer speaks in tongues, but it is not the same as having the gift of TONGUES.
"Whether there are prophecies, they will fail; Whether there are tougues, they will cease; Whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away." ( 1 Corinthians 13:8)

Just a question... how do u know that the thief wasn’t baptized? In Luke 23:39-43 “One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. ” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”” (From reading this we know nothing of the thief’s background.. it just shows here that the one thief knew and believed who Jesus was and had fear of God)

@@liveforeternity being tuned in to life and my relationship with Jesus has given me the eyes to "See" and with that i must get people like you, brother Marcus, and every like souled person the Lord has branding in the book of Life which is in Heaven. Stay watching the Lord is opening doors on earth that are in Heaven for his children all we have to do is know which ones to walk through. The journey might not be easy but God will always have a straight path for us to follow.

Robert Morris preaches a great sermon on speaking in tongues. I believe the sermon is called the Pure Language. I felt like the Holy Spirit spoke to me last night in regards to a different issue but he used speaking in tongues to give me an example and said that by faith we speak in tongues. I belive many people have been baptized in the Holy Spirit but they are still letting their doubt stop them from just going after what they've already been given. Pastor Morris talks about using your faith to just start speaking and at first it may sound like baby talk but our Father in heaven loves to hear it. I prayed about the gift of speaking in tongues but one day I finally just had to open my mouth and try and when I did, I felt the Fire of God hit me and I started to feel like I was going to melt, but it took faith to believe I had already recieved it in order to use it. People don't be afraid to open your mouth and just speak in faith and even if it sounds strange just trust that the Holy Spirit you.
I definitely believe in the word of God , I received the holyspirit at the age of 18teen years old I've been baptized also, the bible says whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, which his name is Jesus, I did exactly what Acts 2:38-42 and I also spoke in tongue as the spirit of God gives utterance. Thank you, baptism is a command. This all comes down to whether or not we really believe the word of God. God is no respecter of persons so it’s a matter of trusting God, having faith and seeking God.
I’ve been praying for weeks for understanding regarding the gift of speaking in tongues. It seems like I see 2 camps. Charismatics ignore the instruction to refrain from speaking in tongues corporately and secessionists ignore the instruction to speak in tongues privately to build yourself up. I feel like we need the middle ground to truly understand the gift.
Actually the bible says do NOT stop anyone from speaking in tongues... As a matter of fact the bible shows speaking in tongues to be done corporately... hundreds of people speaking in tongues at the same time...

I’m looking at 1 Cor 14 specifically but I would love to know where you see that! “For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer, say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying? You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified. I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. *But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.* So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!” If anyone speaks in a tongue, two-or at the most three-should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. *If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.”* 1 Corinthians 14:14-19, 23-25, 27-28 NIV
@@brittanyparistx sounds like you can do both then. Corporately with an interpreter and in private without one. I have prayed in tongues in Church but I try to keep it down because there was no interpreter present that I know of. Kinda hard to supress The Spirit and not do it. I think Paul wanted an interpreter present so NON believers could understand an have their faith built up and established. Gotta look at the context of what he was saying. Most of my Church prays in tongues so it really isn't strange or awkward or an offense to them. Guess you gotta discern the situation. I could be wrong though. God Bless.
@@MrEvans557 - yeah I just prefer to go with what the scripture says. I agree. You can speak in tongues corporately if there’s an interpreter. That’s exactly what Paul said so no confusion there. Actually- the reason Pail says speaking in tongues is a sign for the non believer is because on Pentecost when they spoke in tongues foreigners were able to hear and understand the gospel in their own language. So imagine I speak German and I walk into an English speaking church but someone gets up and starts speaking in tongues and I’m hearing the glories of God in German. That’s a major sign. I don’t need an interpreter but the rest of the body does. Kind of confusing.....I know. However, that wasn’t what was happening. People were just all praying in tongues at one time which is encouraged by my church and I don’t think that’s appropriate based on this passage.
I’ve been trying to rightly divide the Bible on this subject for quite a while now. Some of the greatest men of God around me including my grandfather preach the same doctrine. It hurts me and I have every right to go on and believe what they preach but you cannot tell me Eph 1:13 doesn’t convict you like it did to me. We receive the Holy Spirit and are SEALED after believing the gospel of our salvation! You cannot tell me that isn’t comforting to those who are distressed! Of course, the filling of the Holy Spirit is another subject. I’m just a nobody pointing to what God is saying in his word.
When you follow the pronouns in Mark 16 14-18 it is not saying that these signs will accompany every single individual believer. It is saying that such signs would accompany believers as a whole. The point of the signs was to verify the message preached, not to provide a litmus test for judging the salvation of each individual believer. Besides showing the fruits of the Holy Spirit mentioned in Galatians, the Bible does not give us tests by which we can evaluate the legitimacy of our faith. If that's the case go pick up a venomous snake and drink poison to also prove you have the holy spirit. There are plenty of instances in Acts where people are saved and baptised with no mention of them speaking in tongues. Acts 8:36-37, Acts 9:17-18, Acts 13:12. Acts 13:4-8, Acts 14:1.

My experience with jesus was outside of the church culture and when I got saved I didn’t speak in tongues and wasn’t aware of it. I repented and got baptized. However, growing in my walk and reading the word I see the need for it. I feel the Holy Spirit when I pray but how can I be sure I’m speaking in tongues. I’m truly desiring it.

Read through the Book of Acts aloud. Ask Holy Spirit to indwell you and start speaking. If you are saved, and have asked Holy Spirit to dwell inside you, you can pray in your holy language. Trust and believe. Don’t stress and let it flow.

Your gift will manifest. Give it time. Keep in mind you may not have the gift of speaking tongues. There are several gifts of the same spirit.. read 1Corinthians 12:4-11..
I pray in tongues. I asked the Lord one day when I was spending time with Him to baptize me in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongue and before I just finished that sentence I began speaking in tongue and now I pray everyday in my language and in tongues. It is awesome. I actually stepped into like intercessor prayers standing in the gap for other people after that. The Lord is amazing!
I respect you bro but I think you in error here, Evidence for the Holy Spirit is the fruit of the spirit. Tongues can be counterfeited or faked.. Benny hinn & guys like him speaks in tongues all the time, does he have The Holy Spirit? .. did Jesus speak in tongues?
I received the Holy Ghost evidence speaking in tongues over 10 years ago. There is so much strength when we pray, we don’t always know what we should pray so the Holy Ghost makes intercession!!! JESUS ONLY HOLY GHOST FILLED.

Also, in the beginning of 1 Corinthians 14 it says, “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” So when you speak in tongues, it’s very much an act of sanctification in your soul through the power of the Holy Spirit. An act of prophesy or interpretation is a more external gift. My uncle, who is my pastor, busted out in tongues during a revival while the guest preacher was preaching, and then proceeded to interpret the message directly after speaking in tongues. It was like a lightning bolt from God, and it was incredible.
I loved this teaching...just do it without bringing up anyone else... Props to MT for even teaching it... I have never heard of him before...so props to any young person teaching this.
I'm sorry I wholeheartedly disagree with you. This teaching is extremely dangerous. You're basically calling people who don't speak in tongue not accepted and that is wrong. You may not outrightly say it, but that's exactly what you're saying. If someone doesn't speak in tongues they don't have the Holy Spirit in me. You don't NEED to speak in tongues we NEED Jesus.

I think what Mike Todd said was misunderstood even by you. He was saying if you are speaking to God in prayer and warfare, it is ok to speak in tongues. But if you are speaking to people, it is better to just speak plain English (or whatever the native language) UNLESS there is an interpreter present. He said we always hear tongues are the evidence of the holy spirit, when reality the fruits of the spirits are the evidence and the tongues is a benefit of having the holy spirit and is basically an extra tool for us to use when needed. He said he prays and speaks in tongues to God daily
I want to receive the Holy Ghost and have been praying to receive Him, but then I get scared, and then I go back and pray again, but I’m afraid of what the manifestation will be like. What is wrong with me smh 🤦♀️
That’s a trick of the devil to prevent you from continue pursuing receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. There’s nothing to fear. The Holy Spirit is a gentlemen and will not make you feel uncomfortable when receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Keep seeking after the gift and tell God your concerns about receiving. There’s nothing to be afraid of.
You receive the Holy Spirit and are born again the very moment you repent and trust in Jesus for salvation. Come to Jesus because He loved you first! Come to Jesus because He offers to save you from the wrath to come. Come to Jesus because he took the punishment you deserve upon Himself so you can be saved through Him! Do not come to Jesus because he has big plans for you. Don’t come to Jesus to have a better life. That is a message many preach and is very dangerous and doesn’t produce genuine repentance and true faith in Christ. That is a prosperity gospel message that Jesus never preached. In fact Jesus said just the opposite about His true followers. Jesus said His true followers will be persecuted for their faith in Him. Also, don’t be fooled by those who tell you that you must do works or certain things in order to be saved. that is a false message and takes the focus off of Christ and what He did for you. Galatians 2:21 “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Works come from the Holy Spirit after we trust and put our faith in Jesus. Faith comes before works, not the other way around. If anyone’s message to you is focused on anything but Christ, that is someone that I would question and be skeptical about. Someone telling you to keep certain rules/rituals/commandment in order to be saved is adding to the work that Christ did for you and is a false teaching. Christ is sufficient and nothing should be added for our salvation. Christ is enough 2Corinthians 12:9 “my grace is sufficient for you” Colossians 2:10 “and in Him you have been made complete”
In him you also were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed. Ephesians 1:13 . I prayed for speaking in tongues many times and only been a Christian for 2 years but still growing in my faith always. My mom.spoke in tongues but tbh I feel like many people are pressurred to speak in tongues so pressure been getting to me because I haven't spoke in tongues before but I truly believe in it. I like Michael Todd and love him as a brother in the faith. He often waters down his messages to make them more acceptable to this younger generation. Too much him, not enough absolute teaching of the word of God
Brother Marcus, how do you reconcile 1 Corinthians 12:1-11? It says that the Spirit imparts different gifts but all come from the same Spirit. This is Paul’s letter to the church at Corinth, the same Paul that baptized and people spoke in tongues. So as you said, the Bible cannot contradict itself so I’m curious how you explain this.
I used to listen to Michael I personally stopped (nothing against him) because I felt like something was missing. Yes I would be pumped up and excited after the sermons but there was no fruit in my life. Last year before Covid I was in a desperate search of a deeper relationship with Jesus because I knew there was more and guess what he gave me exactly what I asked for. I received the holy fire of God with the evidence of speaking in tongues. And friends once you receive your heavenly language I personally feel like you don’t have to worry about praying in English because the spirit prays for everything for you and more! Would also recommend listening to Kevin Zadai!
I (repented) in my garage then i received the holy ghost. 2 yrs later i Got baptized (father son holy spirit). 3 yrs after that I got the gift of tounges. 1 yr after that I got baptized again in (Jesus name). That was my "recipe"
Have you noticed that when Peter quoted from Joel to we find that Joel says nothing about speaking in another language. 1Corinthians 12:30 seems to indicate that not everybody has the gift of healing speaking in tongues or interpreting. Mark 16:9-18 does not appear in two of the most trustworthy manuscripts of the New Testament. Remember verse 18 says that you can drink poison pick up snakes and you won’t be hurt.
I don't believe that NOT speaking in tongues makes you less a believer. It says in the bible as well that speaking in tongues is also gifted to certain individuals and not all. My gift may be singing to the Lord but if u can't sing does that make you less a believer? No, that is my gift to the Father and to relay his word through praise to the Father to bring new believers. So I DO disagree with you on this but we have that brother and sister right in Christ to not agree and doing it on a platform with other believers. I have never spoke in tongues and I have heard the Holy Spirit very clear, it is why I'm in a better place today. The Spirit Spoke, and I listened. Todd is right, evidence of the Holy Spirit is it's fruit. Holy Spirit does not equal tongues, Tongues are a gift not a requirement. And I am Pentecostal.

Everyone who is born again needs to. It is a necessary part of our salvation, therefore this is necessary for heaven sweetheart. I pray that you and your family will receive it before Jesus's return. Speaking in tongues is not just for show, it is necessary because this is how you communicate in the spiritual realm. Honey when you are born again, you are more spirit than flesh. I don't attend an Apostolic church currently because of some other issues but I've witnessed healings.. tongues and interpretations.. and many many people filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Makes me want to move out of Arizona and join your congregation!
