For every fitness and fitness related products released out there, there is a handful of youtube channels i check for trusted reviews. One of them is this one, and I always appreciate a honesty. I also appreciate the diversity of the products reviewed on your channel. I liked both T-Rex 3 and Fenix 8 reviews, as well as the comparison. Keep it up!

I am planning on getting the T-Rex 3 but it's clear that the Garmin Fenix 8 is in a different class of watch. Obviously the Garmin is going to have more features and more in-depth data. It was a good video. Don't sweat the comments. I think people really feel that there is value in Amazfit and it doesn't get as much love as it should, so they are quick to lash out at any "less than glowing" opinions on the product.

Garmin went too far with this $1k watch. It is clear in your video. Great watch, no doubt, but $1k??? I would like to see the GPS accurancy of the new Pixel Watch 3, if it is good I will consider it over Garmin.

Garden Party by Ricky Nelson comes to mind... Dude, years ago I wanted an ABC watch, so I bought used a Fēnix 3 for like $300. I made a video FOR MYSELF to look at later so I could check out how it kept track of a hike. What I didn't know was that video was set as "Public", which meant everyone saw it. And folks from all over commented saying "how does this work? how does that work? make a video of this feature" etc, etc, etc. Over 70 Garmin Fēnix 3 videos later, I learned a TON about making videos and uploading onto RU-vid. One thing I learned is to ONLY MAKE VIDEOS FOR MYSELF. Making videos specifically for others eventually drains the joy out of making videos altogether. Dude...my Fēnix 3 died recently and I stumbled across your Fēnix 8 and Amazfit videos. And they are 100% informative and helpful. So keep it up. It's obvious you put your heart into it. I appreciate it (and I won't freak out if you review something other than a Garmin!)

Aaaahh fk those haters. If u ain’t got no money stay ur broke asz home! 😀 trex3 looks beast on paper if ur on a budget. Garmin however… well 1.2K gives u a metal bezel made out of cheese but the watch just works for so many people.

Anybody who's been around here for a while knows that you use what you like and you tell us what is good, we can see that from reviewing 100's of watches calling out the Garmin 965 as a great one and then wearing it for the best part of a year. In short RU-vidrs who tell us what is good and what they like and then clearly use those items a lot are obviously genuine. Keep up the good work!

Doing reviews in which a budget option is compared to a much more expensive one is a double-edged sword. On one side it may draw more attention, but on other, of course that the more expensive option is going to be overall better. Coming from three generations of Amazfit watches that I owned, I will say that they are excellent products for the money spent, but last week I bought a Garmin Instinct 2X and was impressed with the overall improvements to functionality compared to Amazfit software options. So no going back to Amazfit for me ...

I thought everyone knew that reviewers get device samples early because the companies are reaching out to them because they want sales. I saw the reviews, I don't see how people take issue with it. Yeah, the T-Rex is a nice watch, I have a Garmin and will be getting a Fenix 8, but I have a friend who doesn't want to spend that much, showed her the T-Rex and the other Amazfit watches, which are more in her price range, so she'll get one of those. I'd be much more suspicious if there was a whole video singing praises of one brand and trashing the other. But there's nothing wrong with admitting some cheaper watches have similar features or might fill the same role as something more expensive. Keep up the good work :)

I consume content from many reviewers before buying a product. I see many reviewers have this same problem, as soon as these companies see their product is being criticised in a comparison video the bots come and thrash the reviewer, bots make sure those comments get 'likes' too so they stay on top on the list. I've always found your reviews authentic and genuine. My issues are more about Garmin with the Fenix8 and what they charge for a laggy ass watch and likely not rolling out features like "dynamic routing" to the existing Epix Pro 2 line.. But never have questioned your morality on reviews.. keep doing what you're doing bro.

I need to know if Garmin Fenix 8 is now on your wrist instead of Forerunner 965.. That much I’d be swayed. Because I think specs are all good, but user experience is another level of psychology. And that’s where the price point is. One more, if you could show the Fenix 8’s speaker is even good at turn by turn navigation in real run/noisy streets etc. Thanks for all the good reviews.

Hi Dave? Ever since the Amazfit T-Rex 2 was released, I've been waiting for the T-Rex 3 to be released. While the watches released every year by major manufacturers tend to continue the series with small changes without much "innovation" in sight, I personally felt a significant change in the Amazfit, especially the T-Rex series, so I waited for this time as well. However, as Dave mentioned in the previous video, the T-Rex 3 is not without its flaws. However, it is noticeably shown that the disappointment of the previous works is gradually reduced, so overall it was a satisfactory purchase. I'm Korean, and I'm currently using Garmin's FENIX 7 PRO connected to my iPhone 15 Pro Max as my main watch, and I'm alternately using the T-Rex 2, Suunto Wraith S, and Apple Watch 7 as sub-watches. Each user wants different things and what they are satisfied with will be different, but personally, I am satisfied with the price of the T-Rex 2 that I am already using. That's why I've been waiting for this T-Rex 3. Dave's previously posted video... I was really impressed. It's not yet released in Korea, so I'm happily debating whether I should buy it directly or buy it when it is officially released...^^ Don't pay too much attention to malicious comments. I subscribed just after you first made review of Amazfit T-Rex 3. I never see you before. After 1st video I wanted to buy it, but the second video just convinced me when you did comparison to Garmin Fenix 8. In few days I will have Trex. Ps. I also considered Foreruner 965, but I would say Garmin sucks. Worse screen, working slower, and price is double. In Fenix 8... 4x more to pay. Just no to Garmin.

Bro, you don't have to apologize for the content you produced. There are many wannabe-influencer morons who like to flaunt the latest and greatest gadgets as status symbols. These morons get triggered by any content that portray the truth - their supposed status symbols are overpriced, and newer competitive devices can do 90% of what they can do for less than a quarter of the price. Thank you for reviewing the Amazfit watches. I've been a skeptic of Amazfit watches after seeing the lacklustre accuracy of my friends' Amazfit watches but at the same time, we can't deny that they're making better and better devices as the years go by. Your latest Amazfit T-Rex 3 review was amazing and eye-opening. Why pay more for more-established brands if you're just a casual athlete and someone who just wants a great watch for daily use and workouts? I'm a guy heading into my late-40s who needs a good multifunction watch that can also track my regular workouts effectively. I've used Suunto, I've used Garmin. I'm not chasing for PBs but I try and get in at least 20-30 minutes of exercise everyday, doesn't matter what exercise. Lately I've been seriously considering the Huawei Fit 3 (with its very accurate GPS and and optical HRM) but your T-Rex 3 review has given me another option. I still feel inclined to get back into the uncluttered Suunto ecosystem though, since they now have the bang-for-the-buck Suunto Race S. However, "non-mainstream" sports watches from Huawei and Amazfit may have finally become viable alternatives to the established brands. Please keep reviewing lesser-known non-mainstream sports-capable watches like these! Such devices are rarely, if ever, covered by DC Rainmaker and Desfit. We need people like you to show us the great alternatives to those of us who are just looking for great sport watches.
