Aloha 🍍 Thanks for all the great details! We definitely want to sail RC. We’re booked on the Celebrity Edge next May for my birthday. We’re so excited to sail out of Honolulu! It’s a 9 night cruise to Vancouver with stops in Hilo & Kona only. I think it’s a repositioning cruise because those are the only stops. We only need a one way flight home which is great!!
So excited for your videos on Symphony. We booked a Symphony for Spring Break and have been DCL people ourselves but then last minute we just booked an Independence 4 night (just my wife and I) and we truly loved Royal. We were so happy with our experience that we can see sailing on Royal more than DCL
Thanks for the shout out to travel agents! 😊 I definitely think you made a great decision choosing a suite and comparing it to a regular stateroom like we had on Royal Caribbean, I can see where it would positively add to the experience. Looking forward to your comparison video!
We cruised to Alaska on Quantum of the Seas and had an amazing experience. Doing the Mexican Riviera on Navigator of the Seas the week of Thanksgiving. I love Disney but have enjoyed Royal cruises.
I think a big group (like a viewers cruise - hint hint 😉) would be fun too! I love cruises for kids because they can do their own thing and I don't worry about them too much. We love spending time together, but it is also great for them to have their autonomy.
This was an excellent video! Thank you for your thorough and candid feedback. Your vlogs have definitely inspired us to look into RC for a future cruise. I have specifically started looking at the Navigator of the Seas out of LA for a Baja cruise because Disney just hasn't been offering enough of those lately. The suite perks have intrigued me, and I think that is the way we'd want to go. I also wanted to say I loved the editing on this video. I really enjoyed the transitions between categories. Thanks again!
I’m sailing on RCCL Quantum of the Seas for a 15-night repositioning cruise from Seattle to Tokyo in a month. I was able to book excursions and dining at several restaurants well before the actual cruise. I was also able to book shows and other activities on board early as well. The savings by booking ahead were great. We’re sailing on Symphony in April and I’m so grateful for your vlogs. Thanks for sharing all your information and I’m looking forward to the comparison vlog. Maybe someday I’ll book a suite. ❤❤
I was hoping we get to sail with you guys in the future. Our Treasure is booked for spring break instead of your summer. Maybe in the future 🤞🏼you guys are one of our favorite Disney Cruise vloggers.
We hope you have a great time on the Treasure! Wish we could go sooner, but having limited time off (and other travel plans) always seem to get in the way 😂
We're about to set sail on Symphony of the Seas in a couple of days and in searching for as much info and videos about the ship as I can I came across your trip videos. I really enjoyed your videos and found them very informative and entertaining. I'm amazed at how well your daughters get along with each other and they're so funny. I don't know if they mean to be but I'm thinking they just naturally are. BTW, I did book our trip via Costco.
Have a great cruise! And so so glad you enjoyed your videos and found them helpful! Regarding what you said about our girls, that’s just who they are 😊
Thanks for all the details. We sail on her in a month in balcony cabins. I’ve been on Oasis so generally I know what to expect. I’ve booked a suite on Vision for next summer to surprise my husband for our anniversary. Not nearly as many perks on the older shipped but I’m still very excited. 🎉
Thank you for all the great Q&A! As one who has done a Alaska cruise with Royal Caribbean I would highly recommend it! P.s. hopefully Chris didn't drop his phone to much God continue to bless you and your family
I’m sailing this Sunday on Symphony. I’m part of a Facebook group that is sailing this date and some posted about “what are good RU-vid vids about RCCL and specifically Symphony. I highly recommended you.
One reason to get the suite for an Alaska cruise is the exclusive viewing areas like the deck especially if going to glacier bay because it gets packed everywhere else
I love how thorough you are with sharing all of the details! Thank you for that! Also, since we love to cruise concierge on Disney it is nice to hear more about your suite experience on Royal. We appreciate you! ❤
One tip for the RoyalUp, they only charge you for the first two cruisers! So if it’s 300 more pp then you’ll only be charged 600 total no matter how many people in the room!
The suite life sounds incredible. Appreciated hearing about the entertainment quality. Perhaps on the comparison video you will talk about food quality on RC in comparison to Disney. We are interested in your opinion on that. We respect your opinions and we have been wondering about RC. We’re a couple that rotates between Disney and Carnival and do enjoy Carnival but splurge on Disney every couple of years for an upgraded experience. We enjoy the interaction between you two as a couple on the videos. You have a lovely family and we wish the best for you and your girls that are growing so quickly.
Also a family of 4 here. We have done 2 connecting rooms on Royal three times now and it’s amazing! The price to split us into two rooms wasn’t even much more than putting the 4 of us in one room when you book at the right time.
Thanks for the videos on Symphony of the Seas. Just did a Family Vacation in June to Disney World and Disney Wish with our daughter, Son in law and to Grandchildren. Love your videos which helped our planning it. Now looking to do another Family Cruise and looking at Symphony of the Seas
We weren’t sure either, but the larger ship with more people honestly didn’t bother us. Just provided more options of what you can enjoy. We have found that we can fully enjoy both DCL & Royal!
We are going at the end of September. Loved your video but for what you paid you can get three balcony rooms that hold 12 people, just saying. We have a boardwalk balcony overlooking the aqua theatre at the aft of the ship and paid 3000.00 with the drink package. I'm sure the suite was great but I can't justify paying three times more for it. We also are going on Msc in November in a two-room suite with a hot tub on our balcony for 2100.00 with the drink package and spa package and the Aurea experience. I'm always looking out for deals and that one was amazing. We have been on 12 cruises, and this is our first time on Symphony of the Seas. Your video was very informative thank you.
We recognize that we’re always gonna have to pay the higher price for a cruise since we can really only go when Carrie and our girls are on vacation or break from school, which also happens to be when cruises are more expensive. And for us booking the suite wasn’t so much about the room, but it was about everything that came with having a suite. Everyone’s going to approach it differently, so there’s never a right or wrong, just preferences 😊
Tried Royal in July on Utopia of the Seas. I agree the aqua show and ice show were amazing! I however did not enjoy the vibe of Royal! For me Royal was a one and done! I much much prefer DCL! The DCL crew is pure magic! I did not feel welcomed on Royal like I do on DCL! Disney crew are so very friendly and welcoming and always chat and talk to you! I did not get that on Royal. I’m glad I tried Royal but I’m definitely loyal to Disney! I did enjoy your Royal series! Thanks for sharing!
So glad you tried it. We can only speak to our experience and recommend based on that. Understand that it’s not for everyone 😊 Sad that you didn’t feel the love from the crew on Royal. The crew we interacted with were all great. We’ve had a Disney cruise where we didn’t have the best experience with some of the crew as well. And so glad you enjoyed our Royal cruise vlogs! Thanks!
Choose a cruise line that goes to Glacier Bay for Alaska. Currently Royal doesn't. We compromised with Royal for the ship but have been to Glacier Bay before kids. With the girls I would look at Norwegian. Princess and Holland are the other major lines that have permits at Glacier Bay.
We also have to keep in mind the ship and what’s on board if our girls come with us. We’ve heard negative things about Norwegian cruises in Alaska. We’ve looked at Princess before and we’re still up for that 😀
Awesome info guys!! I’m looking into my next cruise now for next year. Allure. Wonder. Symphony, Utopia, but if I did Utopia it would be for shop only I’ve been to Nassau, n coco cay lots. Last yr I did celebrity solstice to Alaska it was nice. N I would sail them again I love royal if we do Alaska in 2025 I’d like to try princess or Holland. I hear there nice. Look forward to the next vlog
Thanks 😊 We hear the Allure dims getting a refresh next year in March! Gonna bring it up to par with the upgrades (waterslides, Ult Abyss, other added pool deck food options) other older Oasis class ships have gotten, plus a few new options. We’d try Princess if it was just Carrie & I, but not sure about Holland for us. Looks like they mostly serve a different type of cruiser than what we look for.
I love love love love Royal!!! I hate people who only sail Disney and don’t give Royal a chance! It’s hands down my favorite cruise line!!! I’m so glad you guys went and loved it!!
Thank you for answering my question. Don’t worry about doing the Bionic Bar, it’s a bit overrated. Drinks were ok but not great. We’ve booked a suite for anthem of the seas for my 45th birthday but my husband is worried that we are going to get too used to the suite life but as you said, I’d rather cruise more often, so I think that will stop us.
Just a heads up if you sail RC again that if you join a fb group for your sailing before you go, people set up teen snap chat groups so they can chat before the cruise, my daughter couldnt wait to get on board and meet her friends in person
I loved watching! My family and I are going on Symphony for our first cruise next May. My girls will be 11 & 9 then and we chose this because we live in Massachusetts so it’s just a 3.5 hour drive to port and can avoid the extra cost of flying. Plus the kids have never flown so I wanted to keep it a little more simple. I found your channel while searching for Symphony but now I’ll go back and watch your other videos! Curious about the cameras your daughter used on the waterslides, loved the different views it gave. I want to get some type of camera to record our adventure do you use go pro? Or any recommendations?
😊 So fun! Have a great time on Symphony! We use the Insta360 X4 for those shots. It’s a great camera with a lot of uses! GoPro is good too, and the Insta360 takes a bit of getting used to, but it includes access to free editing studio that is easy to figure out after watching a few tutorials.
