So i get what your saying might not agree with some but brother jeff i do think you should be careful biting and devoiring back. Like calling it a "club" or "not being interested in the signs and what not." I thought that was rude. My 12 year old son bought a sign from a ABOLITION conference which was so great and convicting. He used his own money and goes out evangelizing faithfully unto the Lord. We love the signs and the stickers we put on our cup. I do think you shouldnt shame or bite at us for wearing or using them. We use them to the glory of God. Like you said we are brothers and sisters in Christ and we shouldnt bite and devour. I really didnt like the sarcasm or shame put on us who are ok with using the abolitionist rising or free the states tools.

People calling out Jeff for being rude, horrible, sneaky etc. You only seeing this now? Jeff’s entire persona, personality and internal doctrine to others is just that 😂 blows my mind how slow the masses can be. You can deliver cold hard facts but do it totally different to Jeff. surely people know and practice this day in day out? don’t second guess yourself this guy has hardened deep rooted issues in narcissism. He is prayed for daily by many who care, God can break this down but like all of us it will take time and lots of prayer

This reminds me of the second verse of Sanctuary, "Lord teach Your children to stop their fighting, start uniting, live as one." As long as God has saved us we are one and should have one end goal: to God be the glory. We need to stop fighting with our brothers and sisters. Stand strong together in Christ to a darkening world.

When you say such things, it feels like an attack to many abolitionists like me, whether you want it to be or not. And I truly don't think you see T. russell Hunter rightly (yes, I know you do not name him or the other godly men with Abolitionists Rising, but it seems reasonably clear).

@@jasonfssoealso, assuming the worst. Assuming everything is true. Then you shouldn’t be vague in your messaging. You should name names. Name the sin. And tell people to avoid them at all costs. Otherwise it looks severely effeminate to continue to speak in vague generalities. It’s very TGC like. Very “big Eva” to not name names and speak in vague generalities so that proper accountability ON ANY SIDE can’t be taken. Men speak clearly.

This almost soung like an apology to Sam. For what? Who condemned him or went nasty on him? A couple of bad actors. So what? Who responded strongly, firmly, factually to him? The vast majority of us. Good. That is not nasty or cultic. Sam is wrong. He went off the rails many times and misrepresented the abolishionist brethren many times. It is good he gets called out strongly. He should heed what was said to him, not play victim (he even tried during the debate with Jeff and with Virgil also), and act like a mature man. Love you brothers, but if you accuse abolishionists for cultic behavior, please be specific, name ministries or names. But do not attack the movement as a whole, which only achieves exactly what you say want to avoid, and it is unnecessary division within the body. It does not have to be this way.

Huh. You could have educated without name calling. I have never heard a single abolitionist advocate for blanket capital punishment but as Bradley so often helps people understand: due process. Why are you “eating your own?” You always seem to want to distinguish your “club” as the purer Christian? Rachel’s comment may have been hasty but you keep talking about “brother Samuel” who is totally wrong but the rest of us are “cult members?” Why aren’t we brothers and sisters worthy of your respect? @@ChristianJune32002 that’s not the right question to be asking. The question is “will a person repent if they are truly saved?” And the answer to that is yes. When the Holy Spirit begins to work within a person, He will cause them to repent. Regeneration preceding a confession of faith is the only way to reconcile scriptures which say you must repent to be saved with scriptures that say we are saved by faith alone through God‘s grace alone.

I also haven't seen anyone demand that they see Samuel or Doug be destroyed nor desire that. I think you are severely mischaraterizing many faithful brothers and sisters in Christ by saying they are cultish, etc. without naming names so people can judge on the evidence alone. I hope you and the men at Apologia are also holding yourselves to the same standard you are holding others too and are open to correction and repentance.

Praise God! Excellent discussion! Hard truths but important correctives the abolitionist movement has needed to ehsr for a long time. Lets clean up the arrogance and slanderpus tendencies of too many in our movement. You shouldn't get a pass in thoee things becuase your passionate and articulate against abortion and compromise. And i loved the segment with Denny Green! A hero of the faith! Denny told me 25 years ago when i was a young man, "Its amazing what we can accomplish if nobody cares who gets the credit for it." So true, and an important lesson for many abolitionists.

Please name names, Jeff. I haven't heard any Abolitionists say we need to cut you or EAN off, stop supporting you, etc. nor have I seen any leaders in the Abolitionist movement demand any sort of allegiance to themselves or demand that other Abolitionists use their specific words, etc.

I did see a FB friend post that they wished this debate had been held by a “real abolitionist” (referring to Jeff). So there are abolitionists out there who view themselves as purists and think EAN is not an “real” abolitionist ministry.

I would like names for accountability and being able to look at the evidence myself. Everything was very broad brushed and vague in who he was speaking of.

And why would not being considered a “real abolitionist” offend Jeff, since he doesn’t want anything to do with the cult? I appreciate Jeff’s role in ending abortion tremendously. Most of the newer abolitionists I know became abolitionists because of Jeff’s work with EAN. But he continues to hold abolitionists at arms length. He continues to treat his prolife brothers with more respect than his abolitionist brothers. I don’t get it. Jeff is just as hard on the prolife movement tactics as abolitionists when doing his shows, but then when he has an unmoderated debate with a friend, he doesn’t call him to task about how his incremental bills are unjust so he can be the “nice” abolitionist and then goes on to vilify the whole abolitionist movement as a cult without calling out specific sins or specific people to mark and steer clear of. Where is the love? Does he really think all of us abolitionists are following the man Russell? We are following the Biblical principles of abolition. If Russel were to mistakenly agree to vote for a hypothetically iniquitous law because of lack of sleep, you know we would be all over him. Calling him out for folding under pressure. It’s the principles we follow, not some leader. And if any of us are following a leader other than Christ, I hope we heed the cult warning that was given. It’s good advice in general, just not applicable to most abolitionists I know. I tried to stick up for Jeff immediately after the debate when people were upset about him agreeing to vote for an iniquitous bill, but after this video, his integrity has been deeply wounded. He really needs to show examples of the vilification abolitionists are doing, because this sure seems like vilification of abolitionists without hard evidence.

@@IsaacandMiyanna That's interesting as I haven't seen that from Abolitionists Rising at all. In fact, I have seen the exact opposite of what you have described. Now, have I seen bad behavior by some who claim to be Abolitionists and perhaps have joined the AR group on FB? Absolutely, and I have avoided them once I saw it. But as far as the leadership from AR- not a thing like you have described. Calling a movement a cult just because you experienced some rotten apples doesn't make it a cult.

When the death penalty is executed the way God says it should be it leads to less death and more life - it reaffirms the value of life.

Here after the T Russell and Doug Wilson debate. James is right if you look at the comments in that video it is disturbing the people calling Doug Wilson a false teacher because of smash mouth incrementalism. It’s also so wrong the way the brother continually cut Doug off and tried to assume his point. I believe the discussion between Jeff and Samuel was way more fruitful as two brothers in Christ.

The point that no one has articulated well in the latest discussions is this: the standard is extremely important. Since the law is a tutor, if your standard is that babies can’t be murdered once they feel pain, your standard for the value of human life is feeling pain. Or if you use a detectable heartbeat as your standard you are teaching that “sure, it’s just a clump of cells but magically a beating heart gives this human value and worth.” It’s actually literally the same argument as “once you are born you have dignity and worth” or “once you take your first breath you have dignity and worth.” It’s not actually an INCREMENT to use these as the cutoffs, it is setting a STANDARD. We have taught our society for decades of so-called “incrementalism” that the value and dignity of human life comes from some degree or form of functionality and is not inherent in us because we are image-bearers of God. It’s no wonder our society has grown to embrace abortion even more and now also euthanasia. Our pro-life legislation has done little but teach that the value of a human is based on some form of functionality.

I notice you are heavily tattooed and have added many over the years, pastor. What do you say about Leviticus 19:28? “You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” NKJV ‭‭ I have quite a few tattoos, but this was before I read that! What do you think? The first part of the sentence specifies marks FOR the dead, but the second specifies markings in general. This seems to be one of those scriptures that people explain away in order to fit their own context, but it is very clear.

Then Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:37-38 establishes that a person has to repent to have God save them.

Once people started to change their hearts and see the evil of discrimination they continued to fight against it. Until you change hearts it won’t change anything. If you are not as pure libertarian as someone else, you get called a "statist". Our justice system in the USA is so broken that while I believe in capital punishment as a just penalty for some crimes, I don't support capital punishment in our current justice system

@@JoelNCurry Acts 2:37-38: "Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:37-38 establishes that a person has to have a person baptize them with water to have God remit their sins. Therefore a person has to have a person baptize them with water to have God save them.

39:28 - 41:47 I think it’s paradoxical Durbin says all this (as it pertains to abolitionists) but wouldn’t say the same thing as it pertains to his views on the Bible, Calvinism, etc I usually like Durbin, but I just find it paradoxical (maybe even hypocritical) how he can say this out one side of his mouth for this “category” of Christianity and then goes and vilifies or ‘won’t even engage’ with a guy like Leighton Flowers If Sam is a Christian and Leighton is a Christian - why slam others for vilifying/belittling Sam, yet be perfectly fine vilifying and belittling Leighton? 🤔

To be fair, on their videos pertaining to Calvinist doctrines, I’ve heard them make this exact point pertaining to that are as well. That within the church reformed/Calvinists often come off as very holier than though and demeaning to our brothers and sisters and we need to keep ourselves in check and self reflect on our hearts often as Calvinists.

I want to start by saying that I respect and admire what all of you are doing on the abolishonist front. You think circumspectly on the topic of abortion, which believers are instructed to do, in all our ways (Eph 5:15). However, I'm a little confused about how brother Jeff seems so surprised by how unjust our justice system is in reality. People being convicted by the testimony of false witnesses, racial partiality, by judges and jurors, the list goes on. Has he not given attention to some examples of the injustices in history? Example, The Central Park Five. Or is his surprise moreso about the fact that this is still going on unchecked? Help a brother out here.

Start right now... do your part... lead by example... and shut down the Apologia comments section. You guys should watch Jon Harris's recent podcast/debate on this issue. Allegedly T. Russell Hunter railed on Jeff for his stance on the 1800's abortion law in AZ.

Russel did not "rail" on Jeff. That's slander and speading "allegedly" claims is both gossip and slander. Jeff just corrected something he didn't explain correctly and Russel talked about that thing that Jeff did not explain correctly. We have a quickly growing movement "abolitionists" full of wheat and tares. Online keyboard warriors on each side are causing division and discord and there is so much of it that it is causing issues. Please don't add to the problem. Thanks.

Russel did not "rail" on Pastor Jeff. I don't know why you find it helpful to spread "allegedly" inflammatory claims. That's called gossip and is unhelpful. The problem we are facing here is that the abolitionist movement has grown EXTREMELY fast. Anyone can claim to be an abolitionist. Thus, the movement is full of wheat and tares. No one is vetted. Thus we have keyboard warriors claiming to be abolitionists slandering others. I don't see any of this within the actual abolitionist groups but only on RU-vid comment sections. We have to remember that we can't assume that everyone speaking from a certain point of view: 1. Actually holds that position or 2. Is really a Christian. I love pastor Jeff and have been a long time supporter of Apologia Studios through all access. I love Russel and have been a not as long supporter of Abolitionists Rising. We have brothers and sisters leading a charge against the gates of Hell and the Abortion holocaust and some tension between us over important issues. We need to show grace and keep in mind that we are dealing with a highly emotional issue as millions of children are being slaughtered all around us.

That’s not “crazy demonic“, it’s biblical. 1. Ephesians 1:4-5 - "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." 2. Romans 8:29-30 - "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified." 3. 2 Timothy 1:9 - "He has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time." 4. Acts 13:48 - "When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed." These verses highlight the concept of God's predestination of individuals for salvation according to His will and purpose.
