I cannot believe this has happened. Over a year later and it still feels like it was yesterday. Remembering when he would call and say”Mijo you should have seen how many people wanted autographs and pictures and I stayed till everyone left” 😭Thank you to his fans and friends that made him what he is.

Had the pleasure of enjoying his music for many years, I was very lucky to have seen him in person twice,once in East Chicago Indiana and the second time in McAllen Texas.As a member of el tremendisimo Grupo Mazz ,he help to upgrade and spread our beautiful Tejano music all over the country.RIP Jimmy,you will be missed

So sad i Saw him the first time in 1990 in Guadalajara México. Since that moment i was captured with his awesome voice. Now it has Been passed a long timé and i'm still listening all his songs. God bless you Jimmy.

I lost my Son earlier in the year...we had went to the Fanfare in 2010, and all my Son wanted to see was Jimmy; but Jimmy had gotten sick, and they had to cancel. Mi hijo estaba bien enojado! Had the supreme experience of attending a ton of Mazz dances over the course of 30 years plus and he always gave his best performance. Definitely will be missed.
