In diné culture it is considered a taboo to record burials, according to some medicine men we also aren’t supposed to stick anything into the grave mounds as it’s kinda like sticking our loved ones hearts, so flowers/roses are to be laid flat on the burial site Jíní. That’s just from a NM Diné perspective being that Az and NM diné tend to be slightly different yet the same. The video overall was beautiful, especially how y’all’s daughter was like “if I could, I would move out here”. As diné that warms my heart, not many of our people feel this way 🙂.

A Chapter House is the equivalent of a Town Hall for a local community. All the tribal political activity & some social activities for the community are conducted at the Chapter House. State & Federal voting is typically done at a Chapter House. My condolences to your family. 🌷
I think the best David sunflower seeds I've ever tasted was the chocolate covered Hershey sunflower seeds with no shell they used to sale years ago but they discontinue them but I'm sure a lot of people remember what I'm talking about
@@TheEliottFamilyof7 I have a Phobia ABOUT driving lol I don't like getting behind the wheel unless it's early morning or late at night, less traffic...but then again maybe it's anxiety for me and not a phobia? Idk but I was just curious
Thats funny and not cool that you would automatically judge me. My mom was 100% Navajo, from the Navajo Nation. And yes my dad is 100% black, and get my curls from his side. So I am Half Navajo & half black!! I am have my CIB. Nobody mixed me up, I am who I am, and proud of it!
filming the service?? mannn, not trying to be a downer but you gotta respect navajo traditions and taboos ....... if any families members that have medicine men/women saw this, they would tell you the same thing ☹️
By the way My Mom, God Rest Her Soul is 100% Full Navajo!!! Navajo was her 1st language and she had to learn english! So by how a Native sounds if you are meaning all John'd out, she didnt sound like that either No one should be judged on how Native they are by the way they sound..I am half Navajo and also registered with a census # and all..God Bless
