RU-vid 😂 is the reason that i go to bed late. Cause i don’t wanna watch youtube or use my screen time when my child is around me. So i do screen time only after my kid went to bed. So have 2 hours of screen time after 20:00 everyday and after that sometimes i read or something. I can’t go to bed early
It needs to be said that not everyone’s circadian rhythm is set to go to bed at 8pm. For me it’s not about getting into bed at 8pm. It’s about laying awake, tossing and turning until midnight regardless that your alarm goes off at 4am for work or you don’t work the next day but you still lay there awake. Even when you have a good sleep hygiene and a good night time routine. Even when getting up every morning early. Eventually you need to make a change and some people need to accept it’s okay you don’t goto bed at 7pm and you don’t wake up at 4am. Maybe going to bed at 11pm and sleeping until 7am to get enough sleep on days you can. Because after weeks of 3-4 hours sleep you’re not doing anyone a favour by being “in the bed” at 8pm…. Not even for 10k 😑 I suppose these suggestions are for the average person who just does not prioritize going to bed at 8pm.
I love this. Rest and space are a top priority for me. I go to bed well before 8 most nights and my dog son Chester does too! I feel like rest and quiet are very undervalued especially in the US. I used to live in the South of France- a whole other way of life, very simple- that re wired my whole being :) I too can drink espresso and sleep like a baby lol :)
If a family has a new born baby, or children with special needs, forget about getting a good night sleep or sleeping early. Basically we adjust according to our own life, responsibilities and commitment. The main point is, if we are able to, we should make an effort to get that rest.
