@@doppelpunkt Oh I'm admiring their youthful naivety for sure. 😁 And yes, I also thought at one point "man, you could destroy any pro even as noobs when you're two players by going fu scouts and fu archers respectively". And while that with sth. like Ethiopians/Magyars might be amongst the best strats (rather than go into a macro game where you get hopelessly outclassed by his hotkeys alone), we all know Hera would likely hold losing less than a handful of vills while killing two dozen with a counterattack of 3-4 scouts before beating his opponents to castle age and cleaning them up with knights.
To be fair without better knowledge of game and differences between skill of players it hard to estimate these things, for instance Hera with some effort can take on 4 low skill players at once, I dont think something like that would be possible let say in arenas in World of Warcraft, maybe it is dunno, but you get my point, is some games you can get ahead a lot, here Hera can leverage better eco, panic of players, strong micro a vast knowledge of game, small advantages compounding to big advantages.
I first played the game in my mid teens. I'm glad there is still a big following and I play with a friend now, 20 years later. Also, a boom guide on RU-vid sounds like a good idea.
I believe one thing they can do is to have "scorpions ballistics" as a separate upgrade. That way you would need to make a decision of going for it and spending your resources on it, or not and they could nerf/buff it at any point by simply increasing/decreasing the amount of resources. Romans could have that tech for free as a civ bonus as well.

I think ballistics can stay for scorpions. They just need to reduce fire rate. Also, Xbox can say gg if you have a keyboard. This guy might be using KB/M on Xbox unless he specifically said he's using controller.

The game is definitely growing! Im 32 now, played a bit back in the early 2000s. Got mad into it again as have a few of my friends on their own accord. Nice break from grinding COD haha keep up the sick content brother!
I find it funny that the Chinese would be absolutely busted if AoE was historically accurate. Half of the stuff missing in their tech tree was invented in China. Part of the reason the mongols were able to conquer China was because they kidnapped their *Siege Engineers*
True, but on other hand if it would be historical Chu-ko-nu (current powerhouse of Chinese) would be really shitty unit as that weapon was mostly used for self defense, not having enough power to go through armor of any kind.

How is a 7min 23 second feudal age possible with 23 vils? You have to create 23 vils - 6 = 17 you start with plus loom as Chinese. 18*25 + 130s FA upgrade = 580s = 9m 40 seconds with 0 tc idle time right? Or am I miscalculating something. Was there a mod involved?

If you can find a way to play on x-box with the controller would be fun to have you try it for the first time in a 1 vs 1 challenge with a noob player, you with great skills and knowledge of the game but no idea how to play with controller vs him with low skills and knowledge but easier life playing with standard mouse and keyboard
@@TheLive100 I'd say it's no different than paying for any other entertainment opportunity. Plus it's basic economics. Hera doesn't have the time to play with every one of his fans. If he started playing everyone that asked, he'd have no time to make content and make money. So playing Hera being a demand that takes up his time to make money elsewhere, he charges for this service. He gets to keep making money AND gets to play with his fans. Also, being the prominent player he is, people will find entertainment (utility) in playing with him beyond what'd they'd experience playing random lobbies or ranked. And this utility has value as a consumer. One people are obviously willing to pay.
hera i figured out how to make bulgarians good on arabia.. just do phosphoru strat! cuz u dont need 650 stone to build a castle and make konniks. u only need 350 for a krepost! big stone savings for an ez clap!
