@@TravelsofPreston understood. I'm referring to the various plants, seeds that are not normally found in American dishes and certainly not in soul food. I guess the more appropriate word would be exotic seasoning.

@@TravelsofPreston I would interested in trying the Alpaca just as an alternative. I like the idea it is low in calories, cholesterol but higher in protein. (I'm not sure I would like the sweet taste). Of course, that makes it more expensive. Thanks for sharing. Learned something new.
