Thanks a lot. First year psychology student doing a presentation on a study that uses resting state fMRI but has no tasks?! Now i know that they used the resting state scans and software to analyse the patterns, and it finally makes sense. I had been searching the study again and again for a task and wondering how do they see anything in the scans if the participants aren't doing anything.

There are 2 tools that I am familiar with: the analysis program "GIFT" from Vince Calhoun (trendscenter.org/software/gift/) or "MELODIC" which is part of the FSL analysis package.
