RESTORATION EFFORTS UNDERWAY ON NH 29 AFTER LANDSLIDE IN NEW CHUMOUKEDIMA 

Following a significant landslide at National Highway 29 near Pagala Pahar in New Chumoukedima, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) is actively working on restoring the affected section of NH 9. Currently, only heavy vehicles are permitted to travel on NH 29, while light vehicles are prohibited. Instead, light vehicles are being redirected to an alternate route from New Chumoukedima to ensure safe passage. The restoration efforts aim to reopen the highway and ensure smooth transportation in the area.
