Are you sure that it wasn't 260 hrs ?!!! Great job though. I have an old Aeroworks 50cc Ultimate that needs flying wires as many folded during flight. Might copy yours, thanks.
Thank you, after 43 years in the hobby, that was my first experience using Hanger 9 covering, different colors had different mil thickness thus difference in shrinkage. Carbon fiber pattern was very hairy to match up (butt joint) and when over laying, there is a directional pattern. I have always use Monocote but that’s what my client wanted.
Thank you, Ultracote went on a painted cowl with covering iron, it stuck really well, no clear coat needed. My first time using Ultracote, I'm not a fan of it, between the colors, each color had a different mill thickness and shrank different. I'm a Monocote man but that's what my friend wanted.
@@spudinater1984 thanks for your reply! That opens up a lot of possibilities for upcoming covering jobs! I'm always using the hobby king brand film. Price is great compared to ultracote and it is great to work with!
