Boy you have got the old nostalgia running rampant with this one Nick. My younger brother had this exact same model, and I had the Guy Warrior car transporter. I consider the models that Matchbox King Size were producing at the time were some of their finest models of all. You certainly have turned on the old Nick magic with this one, and as usual an absolute pleasure to watch you restore this beautiful model.

Hi Nick. I love watching your videos. I've started buying dinky and corgi trucks and cars some to restore and some to keep as they are. My dad used to buy me loads of them when I was a kid, but I wrecked em all. I've got just one of my dad's old toy trucks a dinky Bedford s type.You have given me the inspiration to have a go at restoring it. My dad's no longer here so it will be a nice tribute to him. Thank you Stephen, glad you enjoy my videos, it’s a great hobby but can be easy to get carried away when buying models lol, like you I wrecked most of my cars and trucks, a lot of crashes and playing scrapyards🤦🏻♂😳 I feel a bit guilty now with the few that did survive thinking what my parents payed for them for me to break them even though I loved playing with them, so I am hoping to restore the rest of the ones I still have from when I was a child. Thank you Wally, you are very kind and don’t worry, just been really busy at work with plenty overtime, so the model restoring has slowed down for a while, but there will be another video in two weeks time, every two weeks will help me to try and get ahead with my restorations. Hello Nick just Watch the video last night a very nice job again the orange was out standing and the red was Sharp they both go together very well. The windscreen was very weird I dont think it was the glue it could be the UV light as you know if you leave things in sunlight it will discolour . But it look fantastic 👌👍.

Hello again Nick. That was a lovely video to watch. I had 2 of these as a small boy. I'd like to have a go at restoring one if I can get one. I always thought these Matchbox kingsize were a little bit inferior to the Dinky and Corgi models. Those silly hard tyres that always go all skew wiff and keep coming off, they used to annoy me even as a child. Still a nice little model, though. Hi Alan and thank you, glad you enjoyed it, this is one model I never had as a child, but I agree with you about feeling that the Matchbox King Size weren’t as good as the Dinky and Corgi models, the tyres falling off were a pet hate of mine too, I wonder if we would have felt differently if they would’ve used metal wheels and rubber tyres, another thing I wasn’t keen on was the fact that the cranes and breakdown trucks had that piece of plastic with the hook which eventually came off and got lost as opposed to the Dinky models with the string and the winders! Morning Nick. Yes you are right about metal wheels and rubber tyres, much better quality I think. And yes, I'd forgotten about those plastic hooks, I remember coming off too! By the way, I've been meaning to thank you. I'm coming to the end of finishing a resto of the Corgi Carrimore car transporter. It's been a bit of a mission and labour of love as it was in a bit of a state. It's looking quite nice, just a few finishing touches. What I want to thank you for is I had no idea how to take apart the cab. Then I happened to find your video of the Corgi Holmes wrecker. That uses exactly the same cab, so I meticulously watched your video, and it was such a great help! I was able to take it apart and re-assemble it. So thank you so much sir!
You've done a fantastic job with this one Nick, the paintwork really shines on the video. I did 2 of these about 3yrs ago and had to make new suspension for the axles too. I've noticed you using a cocktail stick to apply super glue to your models, don't you have your Bob Willis glue stick anymore?
