they make their own boxes for speakers obviously they stored this near the saw that cuts their boards so i guess you could say it was put in there deliberately mainly due to the place they stored it before they did the restoration

Who would deliberately put dust into an amplifier? If anything you want to be taking dust out.

no one would ever power up an amp without blowing out the dust first, especially if the covers are already off

A lot looks staged, measuring caps for shorts, they probably never heard of capacitance and ESR.

@@ChillToMusic87 there are a whole different levels of “working”. In your own favorites is a video about recapping a Pioneer amplifier. With amps of this age and with the heavy usage they had you always do some other checks like testing caps etc. In Mr Elec vids I only see him checking caps for shorts. No capacity or ESR check. You don’t see him do any adjustments. Checking ripple on power lines, checking for DC offset on the output, checking for oscillation. He just replaces transistors, I believe I once some him match it. All these things are part of the repair proces. There can be so much wrong.
