I am a certified Stihl technician with experience with the 041s. This guy did this poor saw no good painting it red, and not properly adjusting the chain, or cutting correctly, or opening it wide open straight off the bat. Like sheesh she just slept give her some time to wake up.
I like how he used all the original parts he took off of including the clutch after heating it up and the seal that he poured out of it. Didn't use any oil to put it back together either.

Nice job, much efford involved, except the claws are screwed reverse, the chain mounted backwards, and the demonstration of fully repaired chainsaw isnt stihl ....it's another chainsaw...perhaps husky...thats why we cant se the chainsaw

Would been nice if he would used compressed air and blow gun to get all that dirt of machine at time of taking it apart, makes job lot easier and tools fit in proper holes better

Chainsaw was planted there .look at the condition of it yes the bar and chain are rusty but look at the handles if it was under ground for long time they would rusted out .
Great video of a kind. Not sure it sas under the ground in the first place or was put under the ground to make thid more fantastic. The chain was first mounted backwards, first cut test was probably disapointing, not mentionong the broken starter cord cut in edits. Anyway a nice salvage, whatever it took to make it a video.😂

Saw arrived yesterday ru-vid.comUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and today I cut about 3/4 cord of wood with it. Make sure you get an extension chord that is at least 12 gauge wire, minimum. This is my first electric in about 10 years, and things sure have improved. The self-sharpener works great, and it just kept cutting through some pretty decent logs. Wear your eye protection, and ear protection. Excellent saw.
The old saws like that don't turn that many rpm. The new small cc saw was actually what I hear, my old points ign. Reed valve saws only make 6000 and sound better.
