Lesson learned not to reuse crappy screws. few seconds of wipe down and time spray everything. Here I thought restoration was to make it look better.

A freind of mine threw away 2 car amplifiers and it almost rotted to death. He showed them to me and gave it to me if I was interested. I took them home. I was able to restore one with simple wirings. Only to find out that it was not worth it. It needed a lot of power, although 12 v, and, it had the tendency to really get hot. It had built in fans, but still, I did not like it. So, I removed the board, replaced it with a simple china-made stereo amplifier with usb/mp3 player, bluetooth, etc. I used a simple 12v adapter and the speakers really boomed with delight. The other one, I did not do anything with except remove also the innards. I did not replace it. Eventually, I gave them to the passing garbage truck but removed my china-made amp and used a smaller case instead for easy handling. These amps have been replaced with simpler but more powerful amps which are suitable for cars. Many have discarded their big diameter speakers because they themselves are not happy anymore with them. They realized that status symbol is not equal to discrete and fluid audio systems.

Egal was er vor hat, alleine wenn ich den Dremel an den Kontakten sehe, grausam. Und dann noch mal eben 2200uF Kondensatoren gegen 47uF tauschen. Es ist mit diesen Videos von denen immer gut gemeint, aber es ist extrem gefährlich. Und was die da immer messen, say what.

7:23 i would rather use a new tooth brush for cleaning electronics rather than using a powertool plus painted the ratings of the amplifier and the plate where to mount the power supply etc like you could have taped it plus that 2200uf capacitors replaced with 47uf 450v thats just horrible horrible restoration/repair

I have rarely seen such a bad restoration. The transistors get extremely hot. Simply replacing the thermal pads with Kapton tape is grossly negligent. Screws are replaced and simply spray painting rust over is just plain unprofessional. I laughed a lot when I saw that.

good job at getting it back to working condition but i would never paint it, just clean it up the best you can with the original logo's showing so matter what shape they're in. Painting it removes the ability to dissipate heat and lowers value

kapton tape between mosfet and heatsink.... he need to learn the basic and then maybe he know how to restore.

this must be one of your first videos if not your first. you have painted the ratings of the amplifier, you have not cleaned the connecting components nicely.

this is so cringe. how he took a grinder to the terminals and pray painted the panels and heatsinc. i wish he would have put just tab bit more effort into this.

Get a can of evaporust and soak all the little metal screws and fictures and they will come out looking brand new. Great job on the restoration.

Не а что,.кто то выкинул а ты снова сделал его рабочим .Хорошая работа 👍. Только вот болты и винты надо было заменить же на новые ,термо прокладки надо новые поставить,а не лепить скотч ( каптоновый скотч " плохо проводить тепло,транзисторы сгорят от такого прокола) а так хорошая и бюджетная работа

WHy wouldyou paint it??? You made it look worse, Sand stuff Off better and or Wash it off Better, Aluminum doesn't rust and I suppose you can't see the bottom anyway but Why not at least take a little more time to make it look OK???

2 предохранителя по 30 ампер это в сумме 60 ампер даже если запустить его на 15 вольт по получается максимальное потребление 900 ватт )))))) а на выходе с его кпд А,Б класса так я вообще молчу ))))

Ok how come the board has rust , the outside has rust, the screws on the inside look brand new...Also note how those cheap fuses look brand new. They have rusted way before the terminals that are gold plated. Hrmmmmm. I smell something, and it isnt flowers!
