You did one hell of a job on that restoration. I definitely need a model 100 for my collection. There is just something about the look of the model 70 and 100. Definitely a beautiful tractor.
Oh my goodness gracious!!!! That is just beautiful man!!! Wow thanks for sharing. Look forward to seeing all of the awards and trophies you will bring home with that. I actually watched this video twice. Stunning. 👍🏽😍
Hey IHCC, Had some spare time (finally) and decided to catch up on some channels I hadn't visited in awhile. This is really nice! You did a bang up job on this bud! Congrats and thanx for sharin'!
Is the engine all painted yellow ? I just got a 64 100. With headlights and creeper unit. Very solid needs restoration tho. What you’ve done here is. Definitely the benchmark. Is the front mesh. Painted what or silver ? I thought they were silver, until seeing the one on my unit is white
Thanks. Yes engine is all yellow. And the grill mesh is white. Here are the ISBN numbers for two really good books on the cub cadets. they have some great info and specifications including paint colors. 0760310793. And 0760321388 If you search these numbers on Amazon they should come up
@@erichheyde5953 I am pretty sure you can still get them. Yeh fellow I got mine from had a whole box of new parts that came with it including the steering wheel and center cap. Let me do some looking.
Got another question for ya. I was looking on eBay for that billet pulley you put on the S/G. I did find one for about $20. Is yours steel or aluminum. The ones I see are steel. You did an awesome job on that beauty! I been looking for a old 100 to do a restore on. I have a 127 I'm partially restoring.
Who did you purchase your decals stickers from that I have to write hand 100 stickers and to right-hand Cub cadet international the decal for the dash is incorrect
nice work. do you have a mower for it? i have a 1961 cub cadet and a 1948 farmall cub. both are very capable mowers. i also have a 124 that's apart. i sandblasted and repainted the frame eventually when money allows im going to finish it. my 1961 is in excellent original condition but really could be restored cosmetically. mechanically she's fit and trim. strong running K161 and a super solid 38" timed deck. the farmall has a C3 60" mower under it. i really do not understand why someone would want something new when you can have these machines. even restored it probably did not cost what a new machine costs. if you put a deck under it and took good care of it, it will last for decades before it needs anything major. nice 100
Thank you for the comment! The mower that was on the 100 was totally wasted and rotted out. I have a deck for my 1973 129 its a 42'' I think. In great shape. Have not used it yet. To use it I would have to swap engines out of the 129 because the crank will no longer except the pto clutch. The original pulleys set screws loosened up on the previous owner and destroyed the crank shaft key-way. I do have another K301 with a repaired crank that I could just swap in. So maybe at some point I will do that. Right now its mostly used for snow plowing.
Hey, this is a fantastic job you have done on this tractor. I just picked up a model 100 Cub Cadet from my cousin that actually used to belong to my dad and I mowed with it when I was a teenager ( I am now 65 years old ). I am trying to figure out exactly what year it is. I heard there is a number on the gear reduction housing, I checked and the number I found was 385058R . Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
I sure do. That and the original I’ll never get rid of. Don’t get to using that much these days they’re actually still in my parents garage I don’t have a garage at my house so I can’t keep them out of the elements. Hopefully when my son is older in a few years I can get back into doing some Tractor restorations he’s only 14 months old so he’s got a ways to go lol. First step is going to be getting a garage built then I can probably work on stuff
@@IHcubcadet great. My little boy is old enough he's been driving his cadet and cub. You need to get back making videos 🙂. Anyway good to hear from you again.
Hi, I know this is an old post and maybe your not on here anymore but could you tell me the wheel and tire size on the rear? Carlisle tires? Great job by the way! Thanks!
Yea I placed the decal on then cut the light openings out with a razor blade. When I bought my tractor, it came with decals because the previous owner was planning on restoring it at some point, but you can purchase them from right here I bought from them before.www.maplehunterdecalstexas.com/cubcadet100.aspx
@@IHcubcadet My grill is original but it's been bent out of shape more than a few times and stretched and trimmed to fit lol. The rest of my 70 is in pretty darn good condition. I might have to find a better insert. I would like to find a headlight panel with the rings and a Grote? taillight for it as well.
Charles Stuart I bought them on super bright leds.com just do a search for PAR 36 www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/reflector-bulbs/weatherproof-par36-led-boat-and-rv-light-bulb-50w-equivalent-screw-pin-led-flood-bulb-730-lumens/3648/
@@IHcubcadet can you please tell me how to remove the front pivoting axle pin I've been working on mine for the last 2 years sandblasting and powder coating
Leonard Cusumano It is from tractor supply store. It looks good but is rather lacking in padding. Could definitely use some more cushioning I might try to add some at some point
There should be a roll pin on either the front or the back of that big pin that holds it in to the frame you have to knock that out then you can knock out the big pivot pin
When going downhill in gear you’re using the engine as a break. The weight of the tractor trying to roll down the hill is pushing the engine faster and faster so if you have an engine that’s really worn out it doesn’t have a lot of compression it could start turning faster
